Don't bother with getting a booth unless you've got 3 or more in your party. And you get to watch the short order line cranking out all the classics you've come to expect for Americana breakfast. Coffee is hot and your cup won't get down below half way, so don't worry about refills. Very family oriented place with a good mix of locals and travelers. Plenty of parking on street in front, lot to side, and even the motel of same name right behind it. I did one of their menu omelets and added some bacon. "No problem honey, you want the bacon in the omelet or on the side?". Just to throw a curve, ordered a cup of oatmeal. All came out piping hot on the same big platter plate. Oatmeal was perfect, just a bit chewy . Omelet was perfectly done and the rye toast was excellent!!! Very satisfying breakfast and classic, great American diner service. You can't go wrong

It sounded like something a tourist should do when you're staying in a little town like Baker. The diner is part of the motel next door which is also called the Oregon Trail. Both venues are kinda dated. I'm sure in it's prime it was fabulous! But eating at this venue was pretty cool. It was like stepping into an old school time capsule. We sat ourselves at a booth on the very left of the diner. It was probably one of the only booths where the seating wasn't all messed up. We were instantly greeted and given menus. I did creep on their online menu this morning but it was good to see what I might miss. I got the country breakfast. It had two eggs, 5 slices of bacon and I opted for fresh fruit instead of the hashbrowns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, nice and yolky in the middle. The fruit was super fresh! It was still on the unripe side but still sweet. The bacon was ok. It was slightly overcooked in the middle and chewy on the ends. It was quite the experience eating here. The servers are really nice and really good at making sure your coffee cup is always full! By the time we left, there was a good crowd of people coming in. It was cool to experience Baker's local diner. It was neat dining here with all the locals.
