    Love their decor honoring veterans!
    Kimberly P.

The food, the service, the decor all hit five stars! We ordered the chicken taquitos and the ground beef wrap. The friendliest server behind the counter walked us through all the available fillings and toppings. Upon sitting down with our order, we were offered mild to really hot salsas, pico de gallo, plus the homemade bottled hot sauces. There are several sparkling water and soda options. The taquitos were, by far, the best I've had. The corn tortillas were shatteringly thin delicious cocoons for the flavorful breast meat inside. The accompanying guacamole was divine! Only $12.00 FOR FIVE! The wrap is similar to the Taco Bell Crunchwrap but SO MUCH BETTER! You get your choice of meat, beans, cheese, hot sauce heat level, and more. They have daily specials. Be sure to check out the specials board before you order. The seating area inside is quite small, but there are a few tables outside the entry in the historic entry way to the Baker City Hotel. Take a few minutes to peruse the photos that depict the beautiful history of the building and enjoy some of the best Mexican food in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.

Super nice staff. The food is really good. They have lots of toppings for your tacos or burritos, which I love. Great little spot.

Finding this little gem of a place in Baker City was the highlight of the trip! Although we tried some other places to eat as well, D & J Tacos made the whole drive worthwhile... we had to make it our lunch spot more than once during our few days in Baker City! Tacos, taquitos, chips and guacamole, and more - this place does what I call "fresh-Mex" right. Yes, the owners are not Mexican but their food is good, filling, tasty, with many options to choose from. Daily specials round out the comprehensive menu that includes burritos, tamales, taco salads, nachos, quesadillas and more. Their house-made salsas are tasty - and you can take home a bottle to have it on your own house-made tacos :D Check out these pics, y'all. You know I'll be heading there again as soon as I can get back to Baker City!

BEST Mexican food within 200 miles! Especially recommend Birria taquitos. The Kraken burrito is also amazing and HUGE! Service was great, parking was easy. Food was absolutely delicious and fast. No alcohol, beer or liquor, just Jaritos and a fountain drink.

Great, fresh food!!! Something for everybody. Hoping the Mango salsa comes back. Kid's nachos is a great size for light eaters.

It sounded like something a tourist should do when you're staying in a little town like Baker. The diner is part of the motel next door which is also called the Oregon Trail. Both venues are kinda dated. I'm sure in it's prime it was fabulous! But eating at this venue was pretty cool. It was like stepping into an old school time capsule. We sat ourselves at a booth on the very left of the diner. It was probably one of the only booths where the seating wasn't all messed up. We were instantly greeted and given menus. I did creep on their online menu this morning but it was good to see what I might miss. I got the country breakfast. It had two eggs, 5 slices of bacon and I opted for fresh fruit instead of the hashbrowns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, nice and yolky in the middle. The fruit was super fresh! It was still on the unripe side but still sweet. The bacon was ok. It was slightly overcooked in the middle and chewy on the ends. It was quite the experience eating here. The servers are really nice and really good at making sure your coffee cup is always full! By the time we left, there was a good crowd of people coming in. It was cool to experience Baker's local diner. It was neat dining here with all the locals.
