We're really happy that there's a 24 hour place not too far from Loveland. We didn't know it existed until recently. It being attached to the Love's is pretty nice, since it means it's well-lit and clean on the outside. We visited last week around 11pm because we needed something fast and late for dinner. I got a bean burrito (I'd say it's better than Taco Bell's) and a Nachos Navidad. My spouse got a combo burrito (comparable to Taco Bell's burrito supreme) and a hard taco. I really liked my burrito but the chips on the nachos were so salty that I couldn't finish them. My spouse said his burrito was really good but found the taco a little spicy. But overall, it was decent food and we were happy. The customer service we got was great. It's been a long time since we've been to a Taco John's so we had a lot of questions and the person working was really friendly and knowledgeable. He alone deserves 5 stars but I didn't catch his name. We were there around 11pm on Tuesday, November 25th, for anyone management who might see this. The guy deserves a lot of praise and maybe even a raise. He made the visit really great. read more

Taco John's - Nachos Navidad - Fast Food Near Me - Berthoud, Colorado

A nice little restaurant tucked into the side of a Love's Travel Gas Station/Center with a convenience store and rented showers for those travelling. We had never Taco John's before but they have a wide variety of items. I enjoyed a Beef taco Salad with the flour taco shell bowl. It was nice and filling with the ground beef (or chicken if you want), lettuce, sour cream , and cheddar cheese. You can get salad dressing but I felt like it didn't need it as it had enough flavors with the taco salad and didn't need those extra calories. My kids loved the Potato Ole' which is basically tater tots. Service was quick and staff was pretty friendly. Although a small restaurant, it had plenty of seating and tables for its space and pretty clean too. We enjoyed our food and swung by again when we were in the area again to check out Buc-ees. read more

0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! KAROL IS VERY RUDE! I came through the drive thru line twice within 20 minutes. I got food for myself first. He was rude then but I brushed it off. We literally parked and talked about it. Came through the line a second time for my friend, worst attitude than the first time. He wanted chicken tenders which they have but wasn't listed on the menu outside. We were trying to get the price for a 5 piece tender (just the tenders) he then said he wanted a combo instead. He rung us up for just chicken tenders. When I got to the window I told him we wanted a combo. With an attitude he said "I asked did you want the combo and you said NO." I said yes, I did say that but I also wanted to change it to the combo at the speaker. He said he didn't hear me with an attitude. He was being so rude my friend had to get up and see what was going on. I then asked was he okay because he was being rude and nasty towards us for no reason. He said yeah with a nasty smirk. If you don't like people of color you should NOT be working in public around anyone. I treat everyone with respect and I deserve the same. I was never once rude to him. Cashiering is not the job for him with that type of attitude. Get better employees with a better attitude towards people. Respect is due to a dog. read more

I had a mediocre bean burrito here. The Taco John's, Subway and Love's are all in the same building. The bathroom was clean but there was some scratchitti in the stall I used. They have showers and a dog run which seem like nice amenities for long distance travelers. I took the bus here, this truck stop is the only thing within walking distance from the bus stop. read more

A fantastic little restaurant located in a smal truck stop. No lot lizards-and truckers that actually care about keeping it that way. The parking lot is always clean-the fuel pumps work properly. There are two good sized parking lots for both the truckers and the 4-wheelers. The subway is a good place to eat but my personal favorite is Taco John's. There are 4-showers available with quick turnarounds for cleaning. This is a truck stop for the weary and hunger traveler to stop, eat, and recharge before getting back on the road. The security team is really amazing by keeping out the undesirable. I highly recommend this truck stop and all it's amenities to all. read more

Great road trip food! I had never eaten at a Taco John's prior to this trip. I was coming back from out of state and what better place to fuel your car and your belly - or your eighteen wheeler, than hitting a Love's Gas Station that is complete with a Subway, gas station fare, trucker showers, and a Taco John's? I will say the folks I was traveling with set the bar pretty high for Taco John's - not to be confused with Papa John's - so the hype was going to be hard to live up to. They ordered off menu, which is a power move for anyone ordering fast food. This is where I learned about the taco burger and the "house dressing". I don't think either were on the menu, but they ordered it like pros. I backed off the baller ordering and went with the taco bravo and steak street tacos, but I did squeak in that I wanted the "house dressing". The kid at the counter knew I didn't really know the secret handshake so they delivered my order minus the house dressing, so I took the walk of shame back to the counter to get it. A nice manager-ish lady brought it out from the secret sauce vault in the back. Now I was good to go! Not to be forgotten and where I used most of the house dressing, was the potato oles'. I know these sound amazing and they actually are, but they are the same thing as Chick-fil-A hash browns - just with a snazzy Taco John's spin. Well ok, instead of a spin it is more of a cup. The discus like tots come in a cup, but once you dip them in the house dressing you'll be saying ole'! My street tacos were good. I think the taco bravo was the winner for me. It is a crispy corn tortilla shell with all the taco stuff inside, but the bravo part is in the soft flour tortilla shell with refried beans and cheese spackled against the corn tortilla. It will make you say bravo! I really enjoyed my visit here and especially enjoyed the ambiance of hearing "stall 2 your shower is ready" across the Love's intercom. That is a glamorous part of cross country trucking that Smokey and the Bandit never exposed! Enjoy! ********* My Standardized Yelp Ratings 5 stars - This is for a place that I see as one of the best at what they do (steaks, sandwiches, BBQ, seafood, etc). 5s are for places I've been several times (typically) at least and never had an "off" experience. The food quality, service, price and atmosphere are all going to meet or exceed expectations. 4 stars - This is for a place that is good, I would drive a little out of the way to go, and the food and service is good, but maybe not amazing. Also for me, this could also be a great place that serves Pepsi products - automatic 1 star loss - bad management decision. 3 stars - This is for a place that I view as standard. Nothing special, nothing lousy, not a place you'd avoid like the plague, but a place that is not one you really look forward to either. 2 stars - This is for a place that had something go wrong or something perpetually wrong. The food and or service is likely consistently suspect here (they probably serve Pepsi too). 1 star - I can't see wasting time writing a review on a place that gets a 1 star. They say they're open 24 hours and they're not. FALSE ADVERTISING! My fiancé works at nights and when he gets off he wants to stop and grab something quick and when he's expecting a place to be open because it says it's open and it's not, that's really putting a horrible end to a long and already hard night in his line of work.
