First off this place, definitely falls into the classic "hole-in-the-wall" category, and honestly, that's often where the best food hides. It's a small, simple spot with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Places like this clearly put their energy into the food rather than flashy decor, and it shows. Even though I came in right at the end of breakfast hours to avoid the crowd, they were still happily serving breakfast burritos. That was a really pleasant surprise since most restaurants start shutting down breakfast 5 to 10 minutes early. Instead, they still had fresh burritos. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was fantastic. The burrito was packed generously and everything inside was seasoned really well. The green chili was the real star though. Absolutely delicious with just the right flavor and kick. Everything was wrapped and packaged neatly too, which I always appreciate. The price was another highlight. At $5.50 per burrito, it felt like a steal for how fitting and well-made it was. Overall, Alberto's is a cute little local spot that proves that you don't need fancy decor to serve great food. Since they moved, I've noticed a decrease across the board. Ordered to go items and the lady working the register was kind of rude. I asked for the fajita burrito a little hotter than mild. She let me know she wouldn't do that because the kitchen was busy. The restaurant wasn't packed. Got the order home and they gave me 6 tacos instead of three ordered. Pay attention. The fajita burrito was cold in the middle. How does that even happen? The restaurant inside is industrial. I guess that is what they want but no character at all. We use to go to this restaurant a lot. The last time we went an unauthorized transaction was made a few days later. By the restaurant.I called and talked to the owner and sent her a copy of the transaction. I called again after sending a copy of the transaction and sent another email to the owner. There are two places with "Albertos" in their name in town. Don't confuse this Albertos Express with any other. This is more of a takeout place, but they do have limited seating tables. Ordered a shredded beef burrito dinner tonight for take out, they were out of shredded beef (at 4PM?) so asked if I would like a steak burrito instead which seemed a reasonable substitute, only to get it home and find that it was completely inedible, every single piece of the the cubed beef they used (I would never call it steak) was pure gristle, it literally could not be chewed and bite after bite had to be spit out until I gave up and just threw it out. A complete waste of $15. I will never order from them again, between the tacos that they make soggy by leaning them on beans in the small styrofoam container to the often over salted shredded beef and now this disgusting steak burrito I am done with them. read more

Absolutely amazing and authentic Mexican food! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because their chips occasionally are not drained correctly and it makes them chewy. However, the ones that are drained are delicious! Huge portions, excellent prices, and perfectly spiced, cooked, and prepared! If you can't get to them then use the app OrderUp and have it delivered! I've had them deliver to me from Alberto's Express twice now, and I can't imagine eating anywhere else! Thank you thank you thank you for the amazing fajita and chili rellenos I've now had. Visiting family in the area, and Hubby had a Groupon for Alberto's Express. Hubby ordered the Large Combo....it was on THREE PLATES!! Monday night was Enchilada night, I passed on the "Hottest Green Chili in Town" and instead ordered them naked, and put salsa on them. Came back on Tuesday night with the family, and it was Burrito Night. Overall, the food was plentiful, tasty, and a great value for the $$$. With the Groupon, our dinner was $11. Groupon Plus members get $20 worth of food for $9.38. We also heard folks talking about the awesome breakfast burritos. Next time we are in town, we will be back! read more

What has happened to Alberto's Express? It's always been my go-to for Mexican food, but I doubt I'll be back after yesterday. The guacamole tostada was small with a very thin spread of tasteless guacamole topped with loads of lettuce, a small bit of cheese and four tiny pieces of tomato. I am well aware that inflation has hit, but that shouldn't affect the spices that go into making the guacamole tasty. Navajo Tacos are my favorite, and guacamole and homemade chips are great too. Staff is friendly and helpful, take out is my main reason to visit. Got the enchiladas here last night. Not too bad I would say. Definitely better than some I have had. Their green chile was pretty good too. I sampled it and it had good flavor.The 2 workers were very friendly and even gave my friend and I free sodas because the food took a while to make which was not expected but greatly appreciated! Well made, Mole Poblano is to die for. Alberto's mole was acceptable but lacked the rich, dark flavor of a true mole Poblano. It was, instead, bland and flat. The bartender does not know how to make a decent Sangria, the wine staple of Spanish and Mexican cuisine. He had to consult me about it, as "there's not much call for Sangria here." read more
