Came in for dinner and the experience was pretty good. I ordered the Chili Relleno supreme. It was really good. The carnitas were delicious. Our server was really nice and attentive. The restaurant was nice and clean and not overly noisy. I would recommend coming in.

By all indicators this is the kind of restaurant I love, and perhaps on another day it would rock, but our experience didn't live up to expectations. We ran out of salsa early, and our waiter said he'd bring more, but he forgot. (We flagged another server and she took care of us.) Later, my wife remarked to me that the grilled chicken in her Burrito Deluxe was chewy, and I had been thinking the exact same thing about the strips of steak in my Chile Colorado. As an aside, this restaurant has a PIF - a special tax that goes not to support Loveland city services, but to the developer of the property. Businesses and developers existed long before PIFs - they aren't necessary and should be opposed.

I have eaten at Mexican restaurants hundreds of times and that has not happened before. The manager said I would get a discount on my meal, and the drink comped. When the receipt came I didn't notice the drink wasn't comped. My waitress said she didn't get approval for a drink comp, they ended up giving me $15 cash to compensate. Lost my appetite after the rock. The carnitas meat was decent & restaurant was clean, but disappointing overall.

Fun, modern family restaurant near the Centerra shopping area. We had chips And queso, birria tacos and chicken blanco tacos. Try the mystery sauce on the table but take it easy! DELICIOUS. Everything was fantastic and I can't say enough about how genuinely friendly everyone was from start to finish. Add it to the list! A great neighborhood place!

First time to visit Rubens. Has a family type feel. . Lots of seating inside. A nice bar area and outdoor seating. Also has a closed off room for a group if needed. Solid Mexican place in the Loveland/Fort Collins area. Lots of people were dining here on a Sunday afternoon and it was rated high on Yelp and Google. It didn't disappoint! I ordered the combo 3 from the lunch menu which was the burrito with green chili sauce. I got carnitas as my protein and I loved it! It also came with mashed pinto beans and rice. Hit the spot after watching a weekend of boys basketball tournaments highly recommend! Our party also ordered tacos, the Birria grilled cheese, and fajitas. Everyone said their dish was delicious! Went once and won't be back. The food was decent and the drinks were fine. My issue was, the female bartender that was serving me, attempted to charge my card with a bogus charge, after I had paid my bill. She came back and falsely stated that the payment didn't go thru fully and then charged me for 14 glasses of milk. I called the manager the next day, he said "what the hell?!", returned my payment and apologized. That bartender should be fired over this. NO excuse for this B.S.! read more

I visited for lunch and ordered the beef fajitas. Unfortunately, the portion was very small, with very little steak, and what was included was dry. The plate came with guacamole but did not include salsa or cheese, and sour cream was an extra charge, which was disappointing for a fajita dish. Overall, the portion size, quality, and value did not meet expectations, and based on this experience, I'm unlikely to return. read more

I am wildly picky about Mexican food .... Rueben's is the only place that not only passes the test... I love it. From the chips and salsa to the enchiladas, everything is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service is consistently warm and welcoming, the prices are super reasonable, the margaritas are top-notch (hello, weekend plans!), and the food? Phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This was our first time to visit Ruben's. Have the say, the service was just okay, and our meals weren't great. Just one example, the steak fajita salad was literally a bowl shredded lettuce, some sliced green pepper (not cooked), and a few pieces of steak meat. We arrived shortly after they opened, so it was relatively quiet. Side note: One of the kids with us went to buy a toy from one of the dispensers - which ate their quarter while a staff person watched and didn't even acknowledge what happened. If this were the only Mexican restaurant nearby, we'd probably try them again sometime - but there are much better Mexican food options (food, price, presentation, and service) within only a few miles. Came in with group of friends, the place was busy and packed. Tuck in the corner of crossroad and Clydesdale you might miss this location unless you saw the restaurant sign. We all ordered different menu, mine was Birria tacos came with rice and bean. The meat was tender, tastefully good, but I had it better, it comes with rice and beans. I chose flour tortillas which might be better in corn tortillas. Big selection of menus and there is something for everyone. Portion is decent and there are wide desert options as well. Never tried this place before and wanted to try the chimichangas. Got shredded chicken. Came with refried beans and rice. Also got chips and salsa for extra. The total was $24. On their website the chimichangas were supposed to be $16 so it's like almost $7 or $8 for chips and salsa I guess... The chicken was dry and tough as hell. Tortillas were not crisp AT ALL. Refried beans were bland and boring (didn't have cheese on it either which every mexican restaurant ive ever been to always puts cheese on) along with the rice. I really don't appreciate being served food that was heated up in the microwave. How can you charge $24 for that??? Horrible food. Wish I could get my money back. Never recommending this place. Should've went to Taco Bell. read more

Went to Reuben's a few Fridays ago with friends for the first time. I tried to join the waiting list online and that feature didn't work. When I tried to call ahead the phone just kept ringing and was never picked up. We ended up waiting about 15 mins for a table, not bad! Food was exceptional, I got the chicken fajitas and other had steak fajitas, enchiladas and queso. Our server seemed to be in a hurry to take our order and head out for the day. But overall very enjoyable experience due to the food and company. Great (strong) margaritas! Looking forward to coming back in the future as they work out some kinks from being a new biz. read more

My family comes here pretty often, and I am in town visiting and they treated me to lunch. I ordered fried quesadilla with birria. Let me tell you not only was I happy about the size of this plate but the flavor was definitely there. Our server was very friendly and our order was served not too long after. Excellent! Servers were so friendly and patient. Hostesses were fabulous, greeted you with a smile. Restaurant is clean and meets all my standards. The bar was busy with very friendly bar tenders. Drinks wow what can is say? Mango Margarita delish. Food arrived hot and tasty. Everything spot on, napkins were napkins almost like cloth. So happy we found a wonderful Place close to home to eat!!! The wait was elongated but it was a busy time. It was clean and the music was at a good volume. Staff was all very polite and seemed like they enjoyed being there. A little strange they have an added charge for sour cream and guacamole on dishes that would normally have them included. The food itself was amazing and well portioned. The drinks were well mixed but the lemon drop is a little pricey at $7 for being a shot glass worth of drink. read more

Super loud music so that's just making me think they are trying so hard for people to be festive. Service is great but I have a huge problem people sweeping floors and kicking up dirt right next to me when I'm trying to eat. They were closing so I get it. Chairs already upturned. The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.

We came here for dinner and while the food itself was decent, the overall experience left a bad taste. Service was disappointing. My water was never refilled, even after asking, which made the meal less enjoyable. We started with the queso, which was fine but a little bland for my taste. For my entrée, I had a combination plate with a bean and cheese burrito and a chili relleno. The crispy chili relleno stood out as the highlight of the meal and was definitely the better of the two. The biggest issue came at the end: I was given a small ticket with my portion of the bill, but when it came time to pay, the total was about $15-20 higher than expected. I also never received an itemized receipt, which was frustrating and left me questioning the accuracy of the charges.
