Anyway, on last summer's road trip or quest to visit all 50 US States, made a stop here for the evening to break up the drive. This was the only restaurant that my friend and could decided was worth trying. Not that the places are bad - we just didn't want bar/fast food. And it was fine. Everything was fine. Parking was easy. Main street. There was so many spaces because most everything was closed. Except the restaurants and theater. Place was busy. Not so busy there was a wait but enough that it was a little on the loud side. Service was standard - I wouldn't say it wasn't friendly or attentive - everything was handled smooth and quickly. Just not a lot of chit chat and didn't really need much as far as refills or condiments go. Food was ok too. Huge portions. See pics. Friend and I split the shrimp fajitas and I devoured the chips and salsa. I did have to ask for a hotter version as the "house" salsa is perfect for those who can't handle the heat. Also wanted to mention, the frozen margarita was nice and boozy. Not overly - but enough that you could taste the tequila and it lingers for a little while. As for the main dish, good. Standard - and this is coming from someone who lives in SoCal. Don't know if I would ever be back in Chadron but if you're on the road and in need of some decent Mexican in NE - it's not bad. Not bad at all.

All the food items are amazing and lots of options. The place has a good Mexican vibe! Highly recommend trying this Mexican restaurant!!!

Hours say open until 9 PM?! so we stood there at the hostess station trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Young Gal said sorry we're closed and I asked why? The employees are taking their kids trick-or-treating. OK I get it's Halloween, but it would've been nice to update your holiday hours online or put a sign on the door. I live 50 miles away - Will never return here. Which is unfortunate. I was looking for a Thai food restaurant close to my area.!

We got the fajitas combo, chips and salsa, gyoza, and pad Thai. My husband and I were feeling different things so this place was perfect for that. The seasoning on the rice was amazing and my husband really enjoyed his fajitas. The pad Thai was delicious and cooked well. It came with some crab ragoons, too. The amount of food you get for the price is really wonderful as well. The service was quick (but it also wasn't very busy for a Thursday evening). If you're in the area and worried about where to eat, I do recommend this place!

I owned a very successful BBQ business in…read moreLong Beach CA from which I retired a few years ago, so I have a lot of BBQ and deli experience, having run 2 locations for 12yrs. SM's BBQ food is undoubtedly some of the worst I have ever had. We used professional Southern Pride smokers...they obviously use inferior equipment, as their food is overwhemingly so smoky you cannot taste the meat or seasoning. That's what often happens when you use ALL WOOD for your cooking. Admittedly there are some places which seem to be able to mitigate the excessive smokiness to a degree...our smoker used gas and just one log. No one ever complained that our food wasn't smoky enough. Had the brisket, ribs, pulled pork. As they say in baseball, 3 strikes and you're out. They even managed to screw up a BLT...3 skimpy thin slices of bacon from the menu which promised much more, and a sandwich which belongs on a kid's menu for $10. Their idea of coleslaw was cabbage mix with dressing drizzled on top. We sold coleslaw @ our place, made to order, but tossed just before service. Service favored regulars, and bar business obviously took precedence over food business. If there were more local options, this place would certainly be out of business by now. Pick any other place but here.
