Every time I try this Taco John's I am always disappointed. My snack sized fried chicken taco was stone cold. Like I wondered how long it had been sitting around before they served it to me. On the other hand, the snack sized cheese quesadilla was so hot I had to let it cool off. If only I had realized before I let the quesadilla cool off. I could have smashed them together and possible had a warm meal. I'll stick with the Taco John's on Lake. They always get the food right. read more

The food was not good and for the love of god please don't ask for a combo... my burrito was $2 and change asked to make it a combo and the price was $8 more for some stale potato tots and a medium drink. Everything is an up charge Everything!!! And my wife asked for extra sour cream... if that's what extra looks like then the regular scoop is a drop not a dollop. Made a larger breakfast burrito order 2 days in advanced. Went to pick it up and wasn't ready despite clearly communicating the time needing it ready. In fact they didn't even start to make it till I showed up at my scheduled time to pick up. Left almost 45 minutes past the scheduled pickup. 2 stars because the lady's behind the counter did work their butts off to get it done while working regular business. read more

You better get this place while you can, because when you go to a different state that doesn't have this place, you are going to miss it. We moved a while back and the state we are currently in doesn't have a Taco Johns anywhere, and we miss it terribly. The mexican food in the area is awful, so you wouldn't think a fast food place would top them, but it does. And taco bell just doesn't compare. Their potato ole's are amazing!! And I highly recommend asking for a mountain dew and lemonade. read more

I miss my Taco John's. I used to live in St. Joe and enjoyed it, but it seems when there isn't one right down the street, the food gets better. Love my Potato Ole's---my favorite burrito is the grilled potato one. YUM read more

Thank god for Taco John's! This is some good Mexican fast food...much better than Taco Bell, but also much different. So yummy and good. The potato oles (missing accent) are awesome, and the taco bravo is my favorite thing there. A taco bravo is an ingenious marrying of hard and soft shell tacos--a soft four tortilla slathered with beans wrapped around a hard corn taco shell. My husband and I are new fans of Taco John's. We live in Houston, Tx and discovered Taco John's when we visited the Midwest this summer. The "street tacos"are my favorite. We plan on eating here whenever we visit St. Joseph, Missouri. read more

I love taco John's and this location is one of my favorites. Every time I come home on leave it's one of my first stops because they don't have any taco johns where I'm stationed. My husband and I were at the Taco Johns on the N.Belt I believe it was Sept 10th. for breakfast. At this time of the morn. we were the only ones in there thank goodness. Food was fine but the Mgr was so HORRIBLE to the employees. She had to know we were still there eating. She was SCREAMING at them some by name. The employees were embarrassed more for her than themselves. Why they didn't ALL walk out on her is beyond me!! She was screaming about the reviews and complaints made to corp! I felt so sorry for all those poor employees! The Mgr was WAY out of line! Its time someone from corp has a talk with her! It was totally inappropriate! read more

It's Taco John's as you know it. Everything seems perfectly fine. They fail on Accuracy of Order a little too often for my liking, for that reason alone I choose location next to Le Mesa on Mitchell, as my primary TJ's. Good food, good prices for sure. read more
