    Taco Salad

A very authentic Mexican restaurant in a strip mall, but all the decor made you feel like you were in Mexico. Parking is easy and location is easy to find. This has to be one of the most beautifully decorated Mexican restaurants I have ever been in. Everywhere you look, so pretty and colorful. I came here for a first visit and ordered my food to go since it was only me eating. I came back again for a second visit and this time brought the whole family. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. I went with the taco salad with chicken, my hubby had the Al Pastor taco plate and my daughter enjoyed her vegetarian plate. The chicken was tender and seasoned well which made my salad delicious and filling. Hubby stated his tacos were tasty as well. Service was very good and our drink cups were constantly filled and they checked in a couple of times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Gracias Taco King for a flavor filled meal. We shall return.

Service - 10 Ambiance -10 Flavor - 10 Highest Recommendation! This such a fun restaurant. The vibe is positive. Staff is super friendly.

Was craving Mexican food in the area and my sister mentioned this place. We decided to give it a try. Located right next to a Cigar store, it was definitely a bit offputting. The interior was beautifully decorated though- the chairs and walls were decked out with art. It was very beautiful, as if I was transported to Mexico. Unfortunately the food and service didn't live up to the external beauty. Food was a bit steep for very little meat. Additionally, the service wasn't the nicest as the waiter made an offhand racist comment and asking for more chips got us a stare. Probably won't be coming back.

We stopped in for dinner while in town for work. People kept rolling in but the staff worked hard to be attentive to everyone and we got our huge meal in under 15 minutes. I ranked our Molcajete higher than my husband did, I really really loved the sauce. We shared the sea and land (or surf & turf) molcajete and it was really good. The whole space was beautiful and we just kept looking around pointing out all of the decor. The chips were never ending and we tried a couple of salsas from their salsa bar. The Tamarindo and Horchata were just ok.

    Excellent horchata!

Was craving Pozole so we stopped here. First time. The food was good. Excellent service. Fun atmosphere. Mango salsa is fresh and delicious! Wanted to take some home it was so good. They have a salsa bar with 6-8 different salsas. Their regular salsa is very good too. Hubby LOVED the horchata and he knows his horchata. Not too sweet. Will return.

I have driven by here for years and so glad we finally stopped in. Service was friendly and fast. Chips and salsa are too good - be careful not to eat too much. Chili relleno rice and beans à la carte were among the best I've had in many years. All are the real deal - fresh made. The menu is extensive with lots of options and seafood choices. Clean and fun decor - and - sound level was mild so I could talk with my husband.

Lovely little Mexican spot, chuck full of decorations will keep you looking around until your food arrives. Had the special of the day, chicken, Molay, enchiladas with rice and beans, quite good, seasoned rice was really delicious, beans were OK, but a little runny, I think they were trying to make them a bit fancy by doing a purée thing, but I found it less enjoyable. The ambience was excellent, the service was very good, the place was very busy the whole time we were there on a Monday so you know it's good if the locals like it!

The slaw bowls are reasonably priced and satisfying, the menu has a nice variety, and who I think is the owner is very friendly and welcoming and enthusiastic - like a guy that seems like would be fun to hang out with and talk about anything. It's upstairs and probably easy for some to miss as it's the only thing upstairs, but they post signs outside and inside near the stairs, and they've been here awhile, so it must be doing well. As you can see, the slaw bowl comes with a good amount of protein, a few chips, and a variety of ingredients to go on top of the slaw. I've had chicken in the past, which is also good. Just one piece of chewy meat this time, which happens. Flavor is very good and satisfying and the slaw keeps things feeling pretty light and healthy. I've had burritos in the past too, and those are more filling. There's ample seating area as well, with a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Self-serve drink taps for soda and to get water. Always enjoy coming here and I'm sure we'll eat here many more times in the future. I just need to venture out a bit and try more menu items.

With those items we tried their mild, hot, and avocado salsa's that did a nice job of adding to the flavors of our entrees. We also tried the chips and guacamole that we really liked, and you get a lot of guacamole for the price. The young man who took our order gave us a great explanation of how they prepare the salsa's and took us through the preparation of the meats and seafood items. This place is in the second floor of the SLO Public Market with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. We are definitely glad we tried this place.

0/5 I got kicked out…read moreof the mark for defending myself???? A man earlier on in the night (Friday night July 24th) for no reason, when all I did was say excuse me and scooted past him. He said to me: "move or imma beat your ass." So I replied, I was just trying to get through but please don't because I'm just a girl." He replied, "Then look like it." Later on in the night he shoulder checked me, so, to defend myself, I shoved him. He bucked up on me and threatened security and a camera check. Tell me why I got kicked out??? I am a respectful person and I will always leave anywhere if asked to go. Why did the bouncer grab me and start shoving me out the door. He grabbed my INJURED arm. When I yelped, "ouch my arm is injured please let go, I am leaving." His response was "Don't fight back or I'll call the cops." Unacceptable. F*ck this place and the employees. I will NEVER be back and I will also discourage anyone from going by enlightening them on my AWFULLLLL experience. EDIT: What an unprofessional response, but not surprised after reading your responses to other patrons. Who the f*ck are you to tell me the extent of my injury?! Regardless of how big or small NOBODY would want their wound manhandled. There were people everywhere and I was walked towards the exit. You don't kick someone out of an establishment by grabbing and manhandling them. Your security just wants an excuse to put their hands on people and take advantage of their power. I did not shove multiple people so that claim is 100% false. Also never said I was an employee, nor would I ever want to work for you?? I shoved ONE person that shoulder checked me and threatened to beat me up for no reason. Show some professionalism in your responses to upset guests, it makes you look pathetic and childish. Do better, Rhianna.

How does a place in California not have taco trucks everywhere? Since Efren's was the recommendation, I decided to give it a shot. First impression: the place is huge with a lot of menu options. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the hype. The young woman taking my order had absolutely zero personality and I mean zero. Not rude, just completely uninterested. I ordered a burrito and a soda, and the total came out to just under $20. Newsflash: if I'm paying $20 for a burrito and drink, chips and salsa should not be an extra charge. That felt ridiculous. Yes they charge for chips and salsa so I passed on it. To make matters worse, the same employee who took my order brought the food out but set my burrito down while serving other customers who ordered after me--letting my food sit and get cold before I even got it properly. As for the burrito itself? It was fine. Not bad, not amazing just a burrito. Nothing about it justified the price or the hype. If you're looking for a 'mid' burrito, this is your place
