I stopped by this restaurant on my way home from Home Depot. I had stopped at the Trader Joe's in the same shopping center and noticed their advertising. Burritos seem to be their specialty so I ordered the daily special of a green chili burrito with a drink. There's a self serve chips area and I had some. As I sat down, the cashier brought me some hot sauce for the chips. It was spicy and tasty. My burrito came soon and it was large and full of pork meat, beans and rice with a nice chili sauce that was hot and flavorful. The meat in the burrito was moist and very good. The place is clean and there's outdoor seating. I was there around 1pm and it was a little busy. If I am in the area, I would definitely have lunch there again. read more

The tacos are large but still pricey in my opinion. The corn tortillas were just ok. There are better tasting ones they could be using. The carnitas were perfectly seasoned and tender but overall the taco was bland because the only hot sauce they gave us was way too spicy for me. Their chips are awful, don't even bother. I came here on a Tuesday morning and ordered the chili Verde burrito and small drink combo that they had advertised for $12. Located in the same parking lot as Trader Joe's and Food 4 Less, with plenty of parking. The gentleman who took my order was extremely friendly and patient. From the time I placed the order to receiving the burrito, it was under 10 minutes. The burrito is loaded with chunks of tender pork, beans, rice, cheese, onions, and cilantro. There is a little kick to it, but the salsa provided, gives it a more well-balanced flavor. Haven't been in a while came today (10/28/25) I went for a torta since that was always my choice anyway I ordered, time passes and they call out a burrito I question it and say i ordered a torta well the cashier ends up bringing the burrito placing it on the table and says "your burrito" I question her and say I ordered a torta but she insisted i order a burrito and says "no you ordered a burrito" again i would always go for a torta so i was confused but anyway i didn't want to cause anything so I took it and left burrito was ok at best but spending 17 almost a full 20 on just a torta/burrito is outrageous won't be considering coming back read more

I am only reviewing the super large carne asada burrito. I should have (but didn't) try anything else while I was there. The super carne asada burrito is $19.99, but I have found that many other taquerias charge $16 or more for a regular (large) burrito. My first observation was that NO, it is not 12" long, as it is advertised. However, it was still enormous by any objective standard, and it was absolutely stuffed with some of the tastiest carne asada I have had in the area. This place was a lunch stop for us. It doesn't look so appealing however, they are a delicious Mexican food establishment. You order at the counter and then get a number and await your food. We ordered a carne quesadilla and a vegetarian casadilla with 2 beers. The food was ready within 5 minutes. Both the quesadillas were large and full with ingredients in them. The vegetarian one was full of onions, peppers, zucchini and cheese with salsa, sour cream and guacamole on the side. The carne had plenty of meat, cheese, rice, beans and my friend added avocado. I want to set the record straight here. Their carnitas meat is so flavorful and delicious with such a perfect amount of kick . Service, what other people see as rude I see as a busy worker getting her job done. Not everybody gotta be so smiley and chummy in restaurants. It's hot, they're busy and doing their best. Taco Rico is one of the few taco places that we really enjoy. Their asada, al pastor, and carnitas are our favorite meats to order! Their supreme fries with meat are 10/10! Their fries alone are so delicious, they're steak fry style and always crispy! The ladies in the cashiers are always welcoming and kind they also speak both English and Spanish! The inside is filled with pictures of other dishes they make so while you eat you can look around and think of what you want to try the next time you come in. The restrooms are always clean when I've been in there. The only thing I would love is if they would offer green salsa, their red salsa is delicious though! read more

Was late , just rolled into town and this place was very close to the Marriott Courtyard. The food was very fresh and the service was very good. It is a casual restaurant that has a large selection We had the cheese enchiladas and the chicken tacos The establishment was generally clean and plenty of parking. Food service was fast and the food warm and fresh. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that a little light on the portions for the price. The enchiladas were small in size and although the chicken tacos had good portion of meat , little cheese and lot of lettuce. But overall , this is a good stop for some quick Mexican food and we did really appreciate the service read more

I was pleasantly surprised with Taco Rico. We placed a to go order, and the girl who answered the phone answered all my questions. We ordered a two taco combo with carnitas tacos, a single carne Asada taco and a kids combo, and Horchata. The tacos were filled with tasty meat. The Asada was delicious. The rice and beans were great too, not too salty like some other places. My son loved the kids combo and the Horchata. The worst fish tacos I've ever had, they were greasy and burnt. The quality of the fish was very poor, comparable to grade school cafeteria fish sticks. The beans were salty, salsa seemed store bought, but the rice was ok. Nothing was fresh and everyone moves really really slow. I went into the restaurant to order a chorizo breakfast burrito. I asked her if they could put the hashbrowns on the side because I don't like them inside my burrito. The woman at the counter stated that if I had it on the side and they would have to charge me for a side of hashbrowns. I explained to her I like hashbrowns, I just don't like them inside my burrito. Why can't you just put the hashbrowns on the side without charging me more money for a side of hash browns? Was driving around looking for something to eat today and decided to try Taco Rico. I hadn't eaten anything all day so I was starving. I got a wet carne asada burrito and took advantage of their open chip bar. The salsa and chips were good, but the food I ordered was terrible. The rice was so yellow I thought it was corn. The guacamole on the side was definitely made from old avocados, and when I decided I couldn't eat any more, I got an Instant stomach ache. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice. But, the food is a little suspect. I would think twice before coming here. Also extremely EXPENSIVE. $20 for a wet burrito and a drink. Go to taqueria de Santa Cruz, better food and better deal.
