Ah man I didn't want to love this place cause I found it to be a pretty penny but it was sooo yummy! Almost $80 for 2 people. The breakfast wrap is a burrito and costs extra to add meat which I did and brought that price to $26. It was spectacular though I do have to say. I especially loved the crunchy vegetables which were cauliflower and zucchini I believe The latte Mi Corazon was really one of the yummiest lattes I've ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was very cute and colorful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is a must when in the area.
This is our go-to coffee shop whenever we're in town! It's a cozy Mexican-style café and restaurant that always delivers amazing drinks, pastries, and food. This time I tried the mole burrito -- I thought I'd like it a bit more, but I'm still glad I gave it a try. That's one of the best things about this place: there are always so many delicious options to choose from. The only downside is how small the space is -- good luck finding a seat, especially on weekends. It's always pretty crowded when we go, but never enough to keep us from coming back. Definitely worth the stop every time!
We've been wanting to try this and I'm so glad we did!! My husband got a hot Maya cocoa latte and I just got an orange juice but both were so good! He got a concha which was one of the better ones we've had in SLO county tbh and I got the special carnitas chilaquiles and it was so heartwarming and packed with flavor! A lot of onions I probably would've asked for less or on the side but they were still good! The ambiance is so cute, it's community-filled with kids drawings all over the place! Counter service was quick and nice, not much seating and was pretty packed so I'd def keep that in mind when going. Worth it tho!
Corazón Café is such a charming little spot! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is very much a simple, order-at-the-counter and sit-down café--perfect for a quick, delicious bite. Seating is somewhat limited, with mostly bar tops and two-tops, so it's better for smaller groups than larger parties. We tried the horchata latte, and it was absolutely delicious--sweet, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The red sauce chilaquiles were amazing, with just the right amount of flavor and heat. We added asada to ours; while the meat was a little chewy, it was still a nice protein option. The corn dobladitas with asada were also tasty and fresh, though I'd probably order them again without protein next time since the flavors stood out better on their own. Overall, everything was flavorful and satisfying. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu--it feels like one of those places where you discover a new favorite each time.

Tables are small and comfy-ish. It doesn't look like its designed for a party over 4 people. Over all a cute and friendly shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like most restaurants and business Downtown It doesn't have its own parking. Parking on the St. Is metered and limited. Parking structures avail. Only a few blocks away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant can be stuffed with customers on a Sunday, so space and seating could be limited. Also common for restaurants in downtown Slo[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]People were accidentally rubbing and bumping into eachother, that is what we noticed but all in good spirits, everyone was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No refrigeration. If its a hot day outside, more likely it will be hotter inside Corazon Cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is helpful and friendly. We didn't want to wait for our food long, but as soon as we thought of leaving at the very beginning, the gentlemen at the register said it would be from 20 to 30 min. We thought that was very considerate and smart of him to establish a time limit and so we stayed. Waited in Line about 15 minutes to order. Ordered 2 plates of chilaquiles and 2 coffees. Cashier was friendly and helpful. We found a table available as soon as we finished ordering. Food and coffee were both ready in under 15 min. Food / plate/ coffee presentation looked very nice. We notice the portions are small or smaller than average. Only Entrees served but No Sides. Price point was anywhere between $25 and $30 dlls per person. We got an entree and a coffee each. Paid 64 dlls total. Tax and tip included. Food lacks flavor. Chilaquiles were under seasoned and dry. There was not enough sauce in either of our plates. Green and red sauce were both bland and somewhat tasteless. Mole chicken didn't taste like an original mole and the dishes also lacked sides like rice and beans or maybe a queso fresco slice or a little salad. Just something could mean a great deal of difference. Coffees are good. My latte was very good. Good but couldn't taste the espresso. We will come back for coffee but for a great breakfast we will have to skip chilaquiles and maybe try a different option. We are still on the lookout for the best breakfast in Slo just so we can recommend great places to the over 1000 customers we deal with on a monthly basis who are often visitors. I didn't say grace before I ate but my first spoonful of pazole had me feeling blessed. Couldn't recommend it any higher. I'm someone that typically doctors my soups with various things (oregano, onion, hot sauce, etc.) and there was nothing to add here. It was all there, along with a lime wedge to add a little citrus kick. My mocha was super on point and my gf loved her latte. The chilaquiles were a casualty of greatness in that they were good but paled in comparison to the soup and coffee. We'll definitely be back. Service was great. Inside space was a little tight but seating was readily available outside and we were checked on with perfect cadence. Try it or diet? Do yourself a favor and try it.
What a beautiful surprise on our way to the airport! Fantastic food, we had the breakfast burrito and the tamales with scrambled eggs.....Lordy, they are authentic and delicious. The Mamas matcha is fantastic and not too sweet. And the staff were so nice and informative with our special requests and newbie experience with the restroom situation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little dining place in downtown SLO.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have multiple selections of specially crafted coffee so we tried the iced Horchatte and Mayan mocha - both were good although I favor the mocha more. The chilaquiles was delicious and I had the carne asada torta with chorizo, which was delectable. Try this place put if you are in town!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was super busy, which definitely says a lot about the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the green sauce chilaquiles with chicken--delicious and beautifully presented. I also ordered a cafecito, and let me tell you... you'll be bouncing off the walls I loved the mug it came in, too. I had been wanting to try this place for months, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The Mayan Mocha, made with chocolate from Chiapas, tasted more like sweet chocolate milk than a rich, complex cocoa. As for the food, I was genuinely disappointed. I ordered chilaquiles and expected bold flavor, proper texture, and the traditional sides that usually complete the dish. Instead, it felt like tortillas covered in diluted red sauce. The flavor was flat, and for the price, I expected much more. However! I also tried the Horchata Latte, and that was actually very good -- flavorful and nicely balanced. I might come back to explore more of their coffee menu. As for the food, though, I wouldn't order it again at this time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Corazon Cafe is great if you're looking for a cute atmosphere and Insta photos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But if you're craving authentic Mexican breakfast, you may leave underwhelmed. read more
My favorite place to get coffee in SLO! My sister was visiting and wanted Starbucks, but I told her we could go somewhere better -- and I was right. She got the café de olla and I got the horchata latte, and both were super tasty. Great flavors, friendly vibe, and way better than the usual chain coffee spots! read more

OBSESSED! Everything we had at corazón cafe was delicious! Wait staff were super friendly and helped us pick some really great coffee options and the food was a 10/10. That carne asada is what dreams are made of. If any of you have ever heard of that Michelin star asada in Mexico City, this is super close! Meat was juicy and flavorful and paired really well with all of the ingredients. My husband also enjoyed his breakfast burrito and coffee and that man is hard to please when it comes to coffee. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area! read more

Found vegan pozole in this small town of San Luis Obispo. They also have a few other vegan options like chilaquiles. When it comes to go out to eat a vegan it can be a challenge at times. This food tasted extremely heart healthy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not to mention the decor inside was so inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My food came out quickly. Overall, would come back here when back in San Luis Obispo. read more

The food and drinks here are amazing!!! I ordered the red chilaquiles and they were so delicious. They tasted authentic and with handmade tortillas. The food is definitely a must if you decide to come here! The service was a 10/10. The workers are super kind and welcoming. I was able to talk to who I'm assuming was the owner. He was very kind and I talked to him about some of the artwork stuff they sell. This place has a great ambiance, with Latino music playing and the decorations. They have board games that you can borrow and play if you have a group with you! This place sells Mexican artwork and clothing as well. I love to support this! read more

Small but excellent. The food was exceptional and the staff was kind and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is limited seating I can imagine the wait time on a busy weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you have the time it will definitely be worth the wait. It was alright. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was already pretty loud with the other customers and the coffee machine, so when the cashier was speaking soft and quiet, it was kinda annoying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was so quiet, I didn't even get the bathroom passcode right so I had to wait. The food was good. It's decent size but filling, but also overpriced. Almost felt white washed. read more

Quick and friendly service! The food feels very authentic and the decor is very traditional. It is a bit tight but not terrible, probably not good for big groups but perfect for 1-2 people. Pozole- a little different than what I'm used to but a good portion and great flavor. Perfect on a cold rainy day. I didn't quite get the pickled onions but the jalapeños were a nice touch of heat. You'll need to season to taste though as it's just the base dish. Overall really good food and authentic, check it out if you're in the area! read more

I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo (+$4) and it was amazing! I considered adding steak asada instead but that was +$6. Flavors were great and the food continued STEAMING even halfway through eating. Staff is very kind. The decor is nice but there isn't much seating for larger groups. read more

What an absolute gem! My boyfriend and I decided to attempt to squash our craving for chilaquiles and Corazon Cafe didn't disappoint! He got the chilaquiles, and the sauce was fresh and zesty, and the side of chicken mole was one of the best we'd ever had. I got the huevos rancheros to try something else on the menu, and they're AMAZING! Tons of flavor in the egg and beans, and served over kind of a mini quesadilla, which is different than I've ever had. I got a cheese and jalapeño tamal, and it was savory and fluffy, and neither of us could resist the guava and cheese empanadas. Those are HUGE, flaky, and perfectly stuffed. The man who rang us up was incredibly gracious, and our food arrived promptly and well plated. The place itself is cute without being "cutesy," or pretentious, and it's a warm, welcoming environment. I'm not the best photographer, so sorry if the photos are a little blurry, but I was also excited to eat! We can't WAIT to go back next time I'm up in SLO! read more

Cute breakfast spot! I tried the chilaquiles and got a Mayan mocha to go. The chilaquiles had good flavor and a perfect portion for me. You can add protein to them but I opted to leave them as. The person who took my order was super kind and patient. Only downside is the place is small so people had to squeeze by to get through. It's self seating and there isn't a whole lot of seating so it's best for smaller groups or couples. read more

Great local spot with fun cafe drinks and great food. Food comes out slow so take your time and hang out for a while. Horchata - creamy and sweet! Sunrise wrap with added chorizo - full of eggs and meat, nicely griddled shut. Chilaquiles - nice basic chilaquiles, nothing too special. Pickled onions are a nice touch. read more

I really wanted to like this new cafe, but just wasn't impressed. The service was friendly, and the interior is really colorful with cute decor. We ordered the Green Chicken Tamale, Chile Relleno, and Horchatte. The plating was pretty but the food was underwhelming. Paid about $20 for one tamale with a side of rice and beans. I feel like it was lacking in flavor and not worth the price. The coffee was good and strong which I enjoyed, but may be too much for some. However, I love everything they stand for (family-owned & very community centric) so I will be back soon to give them another try. read more
