    TACOS and BURRITO BOWL

The gentleman at the counter was super nice. You get a decent bit of food and it was good. It was a bit pricey so we'll have to plan on going accordingly, but it's a good option! I ordered tacos and my husband ordered a bowl. Overall the food was very fresh which is absolutely worth the premium cost.

The food is good and the servers are friendly. The manager stops by often to ask how it's going. I ordered tacos without cheese. Typically I use avocados to supplement for the most creaminess. They forgot the avocados but gave us a massive cup of them when reminded. The tacos are over stuffed (a good thing) which made them difficult to eat. Ended up making it into a salad. The burrito wasn't over stuffed (or under). Good fillings ratio. The salsa was good. Spouse liked it. There is very limited seating and the place is hot as heck. I took off 1 Star because of how hot it was in there. Will definitely be returning when we move to the area later this year.

Taco Mama opened its doors for service in 2011 and due to its immense popularity has since expanded its operation to include over 20 restaurants across the states of Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Like many other locations, the Clift Farm location features casual indoor/outdoor dining that is stylized with colorful walls and modern industrial accents. The menu allows you to build-your-own classic dishes (tacos, quesadillas, burritos, salads) using an assortment of meats, cheeses, and cooked and raw vegetables. The protein base costs a fixed amount and each additional topping is free of charge. If you are not feeling creative (or simply prefer the convenience) the menu also includes original taco and burrito combinations. I opted to build a shrimp quesadilla to my taste. All of the ingredients were served fresh and came either on the quesadilla or on the side (requiring some DIY to assemble). Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely be returning to one of their many locations in the near future!

On a date night with my husband we decided to enjoy the patio weather at Taco Mama. I ordered the Guillermo and Nachos. The Guillermo was not to my liking and my nachos came out with what appeared to be several "hairs" so I notified the server and it turned out that the "hairs" I saw were actually from the plastic fork, but none the less the manager came out to our table addressed the issues and replaced my meal and drink on top of this he gave us a $25 gift card for next time! Top notch service! Highly recommend!

What a great little restaurant! We only had to wait in line a few minutes, while we were waiting in line an employee came up and asked if we need a menu, she gave us one which gave us enough time to look the menu over before we got to the register. We ordered our food and it came out quick, and it was delicious, I should also mention the chips and salsa were really REALLY good. The service was fantastic! One small detail, while the employee was clearing the table next to us he setup the garbage can right next to me and that was gross. Maybe, use a tray to clear off the tables and then take it to the trashcan.

Making our last rounds of favs with our daughter before graduation and moving out of state for her new job. She had her fav nachos with chips on the side. I had burrito bowl with Ahi tuna which was also very good. I also had a Sangrita, very tasty. We sat on the side, outside away from the road. It was not too loud. The service was quick and we enjoyed our dinner. As daughter would say 10 outta 10 would recommend

Disclaimer--last night I had Agave & Rye, so this visit to Taco Mama had some big shoes to fill through competition. We had two entrees--Q Burrito & Steak Nachos, one softdrink, and two waters = about $25. The atmosphere was open and outdoorsy; the food was average to be so expensive. I wish I could go back to Agave & Rye y'all. The price was roughly equal. Three stars from me for Taco Momma Clift Farm. I'll be back because of the location, but I think they can do better.

The best food around. I used to live in Los Angeles and it beat any place there I've eaten out.

ORIGINAL REVIEW I stopped by and had a Cuban Papa Rellena (look it up), it was delicious but a little on the high side in pricing. Chef was a Cuban Lady and she made me feel right at home. Need to go back and eat some real food and not just an appetizer. Has the potential to be very good if it doesn't break your wallet!

I was greeted fairly quickly when I entered and guided to a seat with a menu and silverware. A few minutes later, the server (was bilingual) came out and asked for what I wanted. I received my salsa and chips at this time. The salsa was pretty watery and lacked spice or much flavor. It was nothing special, and chips seemed like they were made a long time ago. Looking at the menu, it seemed like a typical Mexican restaurant though I was a little disappointed that the street tacos didn't have many options. I was a little inclined to think after looking at the menu that it was more Tex Mex. They did seem to have a nice deal for aguas frescas with two glasses for under $3. That's pretty unheard of here in HSV. I ended up ordering 3 pastor tacos. I received food fairly quickly. The street tacos have a large amount of cilantro and raw onions, but not as much meat as I had hoped for. The red sauce served on the side wasn't very spicy and had more of a smokiness. Not sure I had the experience I wanted. I had to wait a bit after finishing my food to get my check or even see the waiter. If I come back, I'll try the aguas frescas.
