We play at sunset landing golf course every Monday afternoon. We stopped in here to r lax and get some adult beverages, just down the road east of airport on Madison blvd close to driving range and the big Walmart. We sat at the bar, Spanish music sounds around us, got free chips & salsa , while we drank and spoil about our round of golf. Place was fairly busy for .630 pm. Very Mexican dishes! The place was clean. Good vibes and service. Got the avocado casero (sp) and the fiesta fajitas. OMG So good!!! First the salsa is great. The avocado casaro was so fresh, crisp, sparkling with flavor I couldn't stop eating it! The fajitas were fresh, cooked perfectly, veggies fresh, and not all sitting in a plate of sad oil/grease but actually their flavorful juices! Probably the best Tex-Mex Mexican restaurant in Huntsville-Madison area. The food is consistently good, portion sizes are fair and I feel the prices are better than most other options in the area. Overall, a better value than Rosie's, Las Trojas, Buena Vista or the other list of local chains. We also enjoy going on the weekend when the Mariachi lady is there singing classic Mexican bolero songs. She does a great job to complement the food with a nice atmosphere. Also, they have legit chips, salsa and queso. Many restaurants in Huntsville area fail on this simple staple of Tex-Mex ....the chips. They have broad range of dishes from burritos to tacos to salads to meat platters. By far my favorite is the Carne Asada plate, followed closely by the Cheese Steak plate. We always have a good family meal and enjoyable time at Los Arcos. Also, the ingredients seem to be fresh, as I've never gotten sick afterwards, something I cannot say for Phil Sandoval's or Old Mexico . Had dinner with some family at this restaurant yesterday and had the worst experience. Not only was our food disgusting we got the most simple things i would say off the menu (2 chicken and rices, and a singular chicken quesadilla) plus we had 2 orders of sweet tea, and margarita with a large side of cheese dip. Not only was our bill with 3 meals on it $85? which the quesadilla wasn't a meal it was ordered by itself. the large queso alone was $16! and when we asked about why it was so expensive since the menu has a different price for the large queso, they told us the charged up for chips and the extra chips? which correct if i'm wrong chips when dining in are free? They also charged us for 2 refills on the sweet tea when we only got one? which WE DIDNT ask for which in the end was $6 worth of tea? (i could buy a gallon of tea for that price)! i would seriously never recommend this place. Not only again, was the food disgusting but for that price i would just go to a 5 restaurant!!!? We got way too many great mexican restaurants for them to be charging that much for mediocre food like that! read more

Los Arcos serves good tasty food but has zero WOW factor. What pissed me off the most about this place was that they nickel and dime you to death. I wanted a hotter sauce they charged and extra $1.75 cents. Most if not all Mexican restaurants bring this extra hot sauce free. The beans with my lunch was nothing more then bean juice with maybe 5 or 6 pieces of bean. When I told them about it, they graciously brought out a side dish of more bean juice and charged me an additional $1.75 as well. Damn if you are so hard up for money build those costs into the meal. The chicken breast that I had must have come from a midget chicken given it's small size. It was covered albeit with onions, tomatoes and mushrooms in a tasty sauce. I personally do not thing this place is in the top 25 Mexican non chain restaurants in the Huntsville/Madison area. Physical location was clean and inviting but no vibe. I do not think I will be back. This is a once and done for me. Your results may vary. read more

I had never been here so I decided to try it today. I got the Pechuga Frita which is a marinated chicken breast smothered with cheese sauce and sautéed onions. It comes with a side of rice, beans, and guacamole salad. It was quite delicious! I also ordered a hard beef taco and it was very good. Nothing life changing but delicious none the less. The game changer for me was the salsa. I don't know if they put crack or straight up MSG in there but it is addictively good.
