We just had a late lunch there today. Lexi took our order. She was great. She made suggestions and repeated our order back. All the staff were super attentive and it was fairly busy. The manager was excellent as he was out cleaning tables, checking bathrooms. This isn't our normal taco mama but we have friends close by and I think we'll make the drive again. My family and I had a great experience at this restaurant. We love the fact that toppings are free. They have the option to build your own tacos, burritos, and nachos, which is a great thing when you have picky teenagers. We had 3 burrito bowls, 2 burritos and 1 nacho. Chips are free with your meal too, which is great. They have homemade chips and are delicious. Service was super fast! We ordered at the counter, went to get our waters, turned around and our food was at our table. The staff is really nice and very helpful. The food is always hot, fresh, and MTO! With dozens of options (including vegetarian) you can go once a week (like I do! ) and not eat the same thing twice! My favs are the tacos and burritos, however, the steak quesadilla is delicious, and I could eat the chips and queso with the chorizo refried beans by the truck load! The inside is breezy and open, plenty of outdoor seating as well! Drinks (alcoholic and non!) are cold and plentiful and pair well with the hot and overflowing plates of food! Parking is at a premium, especially on Trash Panda game days/nights, so take out is an option! I've been a fan of Taco Mama for a long time, but this was my first visit to their Town Madison location. Wow! What a positive experience! First, the burrito bowl was very good; the ingredients tasted super fresh. The food was served fast, arriving at my table before I did. Second, the employees constantly checked to see if I needed anything. They welcomed me when I entered and thanked me when I departed. Finally, I really like the open-air environment when they roll up the garage doors. With the challenges that the restaurant industry is experiencing this Taco Mama far exceeds my expectations. Overall an underrated place with underwhelming food. The chips are consistently stale and paper thin!! The Redneck taco is a hodgepodge of ingredients thrown in together. The guac is pasty and perfect for someone with no teeth and finally the salsa seems straight out of a can! I would rate it as the next level above Taco Bell!! Save yourself the hype. We decided to use the catering service for a class at work and we were blown away at how good everything was. They sent plenty of everything. The delivery service was great too. Very good food, and very good service. Menu is above the counter. If you don't know what you want, you can pick up a paper menu, and study it. The young ladies working as door greeter and order taker were more helpful than expected. When you place your order, they give you a number, and bring your food to your table. I thought most of the music was blaring too loudly. Fortunately the weather was nice, and we could sit outside to get away from some of the music. I did not recognize any of the songs. I suppose we are outside their target demographic. Once outside, we did move to a different table to get away from a vent blowing a draft directly down on me. When you've finished eating, they clear off your table. Mexican food can get a bit messy. read more

I have frequented this Taco Mama the last couple of times I have come to Huntsville for work. I have also recommended it on several occasions as I too would do for you. My favorite is still the Tuna taco on flour! Portions are substantial and flavors on point. There is very good variety within the genre. Even the queso is commendable, which in this area is unusual. I also really enjoy the open-air atmosphere. I got the make-your-own bowl with steak. The steak is large slices, not just chunked, and I like how they don't charge extra for avocado and guacamole. My husband got Mama's salad with chicken. The food is always hot, fresh and delivered to the table quickly but the real magic of this place is the staff. They are young, energetic and helpful even after you receive your order. They check periodically to see if the diner needs anything, refilling drinks, etc. This place has a friendly atmosphere, you actually feel welcome and receive better service than most full service restaurants. As an out of state visitor, finding this place was a stroke of luck. The food is incredible, the service amazing, the bang for my buck spectacular. The staff was very attentive, from the lady who took my order, to the guy who brought my food and the people roaming the tables checking in on the customers and cleaning the tables. On top of that, there wasn't a thing about my meal that I disliked. It was so delicious. If I had a complaint it would be that I could not eat it all.
