El patron is the best Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at in Alabama and ranks right up there with some of my favorite southwestern Mexican restaurants. I always have the molcajete and my husband orders different entrees. Our food is consistently good and prepared the same every time that we order which is a difficult thing to achieve. The service is always excellent and the servers are always friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is casual and the place is clean and well maintained. This is our favorite restaurant to visit and we hope to continue eating here for several years to come.
