This was our first time dining at Casa Fiesta, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I ordered the prime rib, and it was immediately obvious that something was wrong. The meat had a strong, unpleasant odor and tasted old and spoiled. I couldn't continue eating it because I was genuinely concerned it could make someone sick. To the restaurant's credit, the staff did replace my meal with the carne asada, which was much better, and I appreciate that they tried to make it right. However, serving meat that smelled and tasted spoiled should never happen in the first place. Food quality and safety should always be the highest priority. I hope management takes this seriously and reviews their food storage and quality control procedures. Based on this experience, I'm hesitant to return. read more

I stopped in to try the different flavors of margaritas. The "Perfect Martini " was not perfect and the best prices for drinks don't start until 3pm. There are daily drink specials for you to choose from and food as well. I love their chips and salsa, the music, and I am able to watch the game. Came here the other afternoon with coworkers for drinks and food. We were seated promptly. There was a huge language barrier between us and our server. There was a ton of confusion with our orders. We all ordered the Monday special which was a chimichanga dinner (beef or chicken) for $8.99. It took a while for our food to come out and it was just ok. We decided order shots of 1800. We get our bill and we were all over charged for our dinner and charge for casamigos shots which $5 more than the 1800. I explained to the waiter and bartender that we all asked for 1800 and the bartender gets upset and becomes very rude with us telling us that's not what was rung up. I told him again, I understand, but that's not what we ordered. He gets angry and of course begins mumbling under his breath and walked away. Be sure to check your receipts before you leave to make sure they're not over charging you. This use to be my go to restaurant but the customer service has gone down completely along with the food quality. read more

The service was friendly. Greeted immediately and seated immediately. I went on a Sunday afternoon... before noon. Not thinking , I ordered a frozen , lime margarita but I had to wait til noon. I was skeptical about coming here again after two bad service, but one of my friends choose the place to meet up at and I figured I'll give the place another chance. Didn't have to wait for a table since they beat me here. The drinks were kinda pricey, but what food and drinks isn't with everything's going up. I went with the nachos combo that came with steak and shrimp and to my surprised, the nachos were actually good and the meats were definitely seasoned this time around. This was my first visit to this restaurant. I met some friends there for dinner and drinks. The place was relatively loud but it seems to be a family friendly sports type restaurant. The service was a little slow, mainly because it was crowded. The food was good. One of my friends complained that the shrimp burrito only had 2 small shrimp inside. She asked to see the manager. It makes it really easy to compare to other places. So first out was the chips and salsa. Great salsa, which is the first sign of a good Mexican restaurant. I think I went through three dishes ... maybe in rethinking this, I should have kept avoiding this place, I ate way too much! Next out was the main course, flautas and all rice (no beans). As she set my plate down she realized something was wrong, they forgot the rice. She quickly had a plate of rice to the table .... really appreciate that she caught they missed something and just took care of it. Flautas were perfect. Golden crisp outer shell and moist well flavored meat on the inside. I really don't know what changed and had me try this place on this day, but I'm so glad I did. If I was going to just rate this place on the food it would have been a 3. It's good not great. The Shrimp Fajitas were very plain very little seasoning or flavor outside of the natural flavors of the green bell pepper and onion. The shrimp were very lightly seasoned with some salt and garlic. Although I got about 18-20 smaller well cooked shrimp. I forgot to start counting before I started eating. The black beans are good alternative to the ubiquitous rice but also lacked much flavor. The frijoles were tasty. So by now you asking why if it is just good food not great why the 4 stars? Quite simply my server. Marta got Tommy table quickly, got my order in and got it out fast and hot. The she kept coming back and made sure my glass was refilled and my meal was satisfactory. We've ordered the queso dip before (good) and Chorizoqueso. My husband loves this (chorizo and queso), but every time I eat this, the chorizo tastes soapy! Weird sounding, yes. This has quickly turned into one of our favorite restaurants in Trussville. It has a huge selection of Mexican food, and when we are craving it, it definitely hits the spot. They have daily specials. Staff is always very friendly. It can be a little loud in the restaurant since it stays so busy. If you want authentic Mexican, this may not be the best place, but it is a great "Americanized" Mexican restaurant. We will definitely be back! My favorite here is the Steak Ranchero - a ribeye steak with some hot sauce, served with rice and eggs. It is delicious! My wife normally gets the Taco Salad and loves it. Ok so I would love to give this place a better review because the food was good BUT I can't because my daughters food came out with a roach in it! Never has this happened to me and my dramatic 7 yr old about died LOL the waiter quickly took it and replaced it with "fresh" food but naturally I was a little paranoid every bite I took. On top of it we weren't spoken to by the manager and they still charged us for her meal. It was only $5 for the kids quesadilla but still, out of courtesy for the big it's the least they can do; we paid it and didn't say anything but it's the principle. So this Tex-Mex restaurant is becoming a chain, current locations are Cullman, Fultondale, Trussville and now they have a new one off of 280. I have gone to the location in Fultondale, which was good and on my recent visit I came to the one in Trussville. So the menu is not as overwhelming as most Mexican grills, but what caught my eyes was that they sell street tacos, which knowing me, I went ahead and ordered their street taco plate. The meat types were limited but they had me at Al pastor tacos. The plate comes with 4 individually wrapped in foil tacos, cilantro, onions, salsa and lime (the go to ingredient to any street taco). I feel that it was a bad idea of wrapping them in foil because they become soggy and fell apart. I have to say that for a Mexican grill these tacos were awesome, and take it from me I have had quite the adventures with tacos. The seasoning was on point, with some grilled onions and small chunks of grilled pineapples. If only the tortillas did not fall apart and these would be the best Al pastor tacos I have ever had. My husband had his favorite the Camarones a la Mexicana dish (Mexican style shrimps) . FYI, found out this is his favorite spot with his buddies on Guys night out. He raves that the rice is better than mine, and well after tasting it does have good seasoning and a little better than any other grill. (He ain't eating anymore of my rice- that for sure!) So if you are looking for good Tex-Mex location, I would definitely recommend this location in Trussville. read more

There have been several restaurants in this location over the years, and none have seemed to make it, however I think casa fiesta will. The portion sizes are huge, the service is fast, and the food quality is good. One of my favorite dishes to order at this restaurant is the chicken mole. It is only available on the dinner menu, and is a little pricey at about 12 or $13, but it is rather good. However, it is a large portion of chicken it could easily be shared with someone else. The mole sauce is tasty, with bitter, Cocoa undertones, as expected. We also tried the queso and added chorizo in it. It is definitely worth a try! On a most recent trip, I had the chicken soup. I found it to be pretty average in comparison to other Mexican chicken soups. It's simply a combination of chicken broth, chicken, rice, topped with pico and avocado.It wasn't particularly remarkable, although it was a solid meal. This is definitely one of the best Mexican food options in the Trussville area, unless you are willing to try Marisco's tequila bar, which is a much more authentic experience. However, when looking for text mix, this is the place to go in this area. read more
