Excellent taco joint! We're thrilled to have Taco Mama in Mobile. We came the opening week, and despite the lines, the service was excellent and prompt. They brought our margaritas to us in line, even! I can't recommend the jalapeño margarita enough, and the skinny ones were simple and delicious. Watch out, though - they pack a punch. Great taco shop in midtown! They're like a combination of Chipotle and Moe's. The hard taco shell is reminiscent of the store bought Ortega shells but the ingredients are super fresh and colorful. First time here and they made the order wrong, which was okay since it was an easy fix and the kitchen was fast. One employee was a bit rude, instead of coming to our table to ask a question she flagged us down from the counter using her finger. Basically "summoning" us. The food we ordered was mediocre, the shrimp tacos only have 3 pieces of shrimp. The queso and guacamole was good, the chips were crisp and good. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Fabulous time with friends Friday night . Drinks are so refreshing , food is fun and fantastic but the best experience was "Q" she was our server on the floor . She went over and beyond to make this a fun Friday night ! Taco Mamma should give her a raise or a bonus . She was so personable , attentive and a sweet . The service was good. I like string lights. Garage doors are always fun. Eating al fresco is a real treat (weather permitting). As for the tacos... Don't be those people. I'll be back, but it's going to be a while. Living in Midtown we pass this new spot almost daily and have been anxiously waiting for it to open. A long line is always out the door. We finally stopped in on a night when the line was fairly short compared to most nights (we waited about 45 minutes). The entire time we were in line people were cutting in front of dozens of us who had been waiting. While a large party behind us was sending orders up to a family member at the front of the line, a group of entitled 50 somethings from Spring Hill showed up literally minutes before their friend was next to order. These 6 additional people just walked in and took up in the line with complete disregard for everyone other than themselves. This group also attempted to claim multiple tables while paid customers were forced to wander looking for an empty spot to sit, being forced to ask these rude women to please get up so those who already had food could sit down to eat. To make matters worse, the frustrations of the entitled led to a meal that was just alright. I wish the owners the best of luck, and hope they'll be able to figure out a system that doesn't leave patrons stranded in long lines while others saunter up and cut. read more

Honestly such a good value at this place! The quesadilla I got was way over worth the $8 I spent for it! It was a lot of food and very tasty. Visited location Monday night. Had the fish burrito with side chipotle corn and Mexican mac & cheese. Burrito was ok nothing special. Chipotle corn tasted like canned sweet corn. Mexican mac& cheese was dry overcooked with no flavor. Also paid $4 for a tiny cup of queso that was comparable taste to what I buy at Casco.
