We eat Mexican food a few times a week. Although we love a few of our regular haunts we are always looking for something new and fresh to try. Taco Maya checked all the boxes for us, amazing customer service, menu with plenty of variety and fresh quality ingredients. We drove by around 7pm and the place was packed, ran a few errands and came back at 8pm to find it fairly quiet with just 2 tables occupied. We ordered 6 tacos and one order of rice and beans just to try a bit of everything. We thought the tacos were amazing. Honestly, each one was different with a unique taste, texture and presentation. The chicken tinga was so flavorful for chicken, pastor was sweet and smokey, steak was fresh, ribeye was so tender and not fatty at all. My husband also had their "specialty taco" that had steak and chorizo, he said it was fantastic. The guacamole was perfectly spicy and flavorful, the churros were fresh and served warm and our drinks were delicious. Overall we could not have been happier with our experience. Really great food, fast but not at all "fast-food" feel. My husband had 4 of their tacos and I had shrimp fajitas, great portion. Very cute decor inside and I loved the salsa station, super good. This is now one of my favorite places for Tacos in the Chicagoland area. Their tacos are amazingly flavorful and beautiful. Picture worthy to say the least. They had at least 6 types of salsa that were all delicious. The avocado salsa was the best. At the end of our time there, I walked up to order some tacos and the person working at the front counter said it was in the house. Taco Maya -- this is what is up Bloomingdale! Traditional flavors with a modern flair. Taco Maya just opened in my neighborhood and we have had little authentic Mexican food in this area. These guys are on point. I had three tacos: shrimp and avocado, chicken tinga, and steak. I selected 2 salsas from their clever salsa bar. But let me tell you, I never opened them. Each taco was so delicious and well-dressed on its own, it didn't need a thing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the avocados complimenting it perfectly. Finally found my go to taco place since moving to the area a year ago. Ordering online was so easy too.

A friend recommended this place and decided to give it a try last Saturday. We dined in and it was clean and quaint. We tried the chicken tinga and Chile relleno tacos and they were SO delicious that I ordered them for dinner on Sunday for my husband and I! (Uber eats delivered on Sunday and the food tasted just as good.) The only reason for the 4 -not 5- stars is because the rice and beans were ok. But wow, this is the most disgusting place, first off when I walked in the tables were super sticky, when I was waiting for my food I saw a girl with glasses sneeze in her hand and then handle the food. First of all, crazy that I lived in the South Loop and I never went to the one there. In the city, Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen. In the suburbs, it's hard to find a really good Mexican place, especially Mexican fusion with other cuisines. We came here on a recommendation, otherwise I don't think I would have ever gone here since we don't one to this area at all. My friend raved about it, so we came to check it out and we were not disappointed. First of all, they have a wide variety of tacos, from Korean to Indian fusions of tacos. My favorite part was the sauce bar they have. I love when restaurants offer this. It really helps with improving the food. So overall we loved it. I think our favorite was the shrimp tacos. The fish was ok. My only recommendation is that they cut the chicken and steak a little smaller in the tacos. They're actually pretty generous with the meat, which isn't a bad thing.
