We had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to take care of us from start to finish. Within minutes we received chips with two variations of salsa and pickled vegetables. The menu is extensive and offers a large selection of drinks and food options. I had the super chicken burrito and it was massive. I barely finished a quarter of it ! It was filled with lettuce , well seasoned chicken , tomatoes, and cheese. It was complimented with rice and beans. My husband had the Combinancion Cuatro- skirt steak, cheese enchilada , cheese chile relleno , rice and beans. The steak was tender and juicy and even though a half portion, it was more than expected. The complimentary fried banana dessert was the perfect ending.The food here is absolutely incredible. Saul, Blanca and the gang are wonderful! And then there's the food and drink.... absolutely excellent. The Don Julio and Mango margaritas were delicious and potent! The Super Burrito lived up to its name. Went with our neighbor friends on a Saturday night, sans kids. Chips and salsa options were pretty good. I ordered the Super Burrito with chicken breast (no tomato or sour cream). Big and very good. Large chunks of white meat chicken, probably the meatiest burrito I've ever had. Was also smothered in a cheese and ranchera topping that was delicious. Will be back to try some other protein options. They gave us fried bananas on the house for dessert, not sweet enough for me but tough to complain when they're free. read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have visited. It is very cute inside. To start, we got two salsas and chips, but also a dish of yummy pickled veggies (the celery was fantastic). My husband ordered the Carne Asada Tampiqueña. The serving was very large, and the steak was delicious and tender. I had a combination #5. I had a salsa verde enchilad, an avocado tostada, and a chile relleno. They were all mouth--watering. Then, the waitress said, "Your dessert will be out shortly." We hadn't ordered dessert, so we weren't sure if we heard correctly. Sure enough, we received a fried banana dessert each - complimentary! We will definitely be going back soon! read more

We checked Yelp for other highly-rated Mexican restaurants, and although it was way out of the way, we decided to try La Hacienda de Roselle. Best choice ever! Chips and salsa? Great! Margaritas? Just my wife and I made it for a date night and it was wonderful. The place is clean and beautifully decorated. The servers and staff are so polite and positive. And the food was quick, hot, and tasty. We didn't order anything crazy tonight, just enchiladas and a combination plate. I enjoyed the tostada, enchilada and burrito, all beef and my wife likes the mole enchiladas. Good beans and rice and the salsas here are excellent. I am so happy to update my review of La Hacienda in Roselle. On my recent visit here, we received our food order in less than 10 minutes. Everything was cooked exactly to our liking, and I had enough food to take home and share for another meal the next day with my husband. I ordered the carnitas tacos, and the pork was a generous, flavor-filled portion and very tender. A note on the Margaritas, if you order the Grande, it really is (all-caps required) a G-R-A-N-D-E beverage! I could barely finish it, but the gold margarita was worth the extra $0.50 to upgrade and well-mixed. It is served on-the-rocks, and I asked for no salt. Definitely save room for dessert because the fried banana with whipped cream and sprinkles is the perfect way to end your meal here. (My only wish was that it was served warm. The serving I received was cold). The servers were all so friendly, courteous, and fast, and they often filled our water glasses or chips without us even realizing it. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes, recommended by fellow Yelpers, and I want to try different Margarita flavors, too. I stopped here for lunch, mostly because I was passing right by it and had a taste for Mexican food. I did recall that this place was well reviewed, so that gave me extra incentive. I was seated immediately in a comfortable booth. Since I was dining in, I chose the shrimp fajitas (which is easier to eat when you are on site). The chips with two salsa choices was very nice, and then came the fajitas with a seemingly bottomless container of warm tortillas to go with them. It was all delicious! The vegetables were cooked perfectly and slightly charred - just how I liked them, and the shrimp tasted wonderful and fresh. The "accessories plate" included rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole - everything you need, plus enough tortillas to feed Schaumburg. What impressed me as much as the food, was the service. When I was debating over corn or flour tortillas, she offered to bring both. Now, my kids always tease me about how fussy I am about getting my water refilled. This place is awesome! I called ahead as we had a big group. The table was all set up and waiting when we got there. The waiter was attentive and very nice. He went above and beyond for us. The chips, two kinds of salsa, and pickled vegetables were already waiting when we got there and the bowls were never empty. The prices are good and the food is excellent. If you're vegetarian or just like salad, try the Pico de Gallo salad but everyone loved their food. They even give you a little banana dessert. Oh, and the Margaritas are delicious. Go there! I just came back in town from Atlanta and I was craving my favorite veggie fajitas so we came here for lunch! My husband ordered the ground beef super burrito which is so huge! My husband does not have any problems finishing his food and the last few bites were hard for him. He loves it so much that there is no way he is not eating it all! I love love love the veggie fajitas they are so tasty and full of flavor. When I am trying to eat well, this is what I crave! I have some leftovers for tomorrow too. We ate two servings of Chips, Salsa, and the pickled veggies yummy! The chips were very warm and had this crisp crunch that I cannot properly describe! You will have to dine here to see for yourself! We forgot to take a picture of the dessert that comes at the end of the meal but I know there are lots of pictures here on Yelp! One of the best most authentic Mexican food I have had and I have tried many restaurants. They were kind enough to accommodate 9 people very quickly. The service was perfect, we got checked on regularly and never had an empty cup of water. Dishes were cleared out as soon as we were done. The food was tremendous, I highly recommend the chicken flautas they were amazing. The steak tacos were also a huge hit with my table, it was juicy and tender. Will definitely come back. My new spot. This place is just special. The service is excellent, they are very quick to get you refills on water and chips. The menu is great, I have been coming here for years upon years and have never had a bad meal. They are quick to bring out your food and they have a great ambiance in the restaurant. Their drinks are delicious as well, you cant go wrong with any of their margaritas. You see places like Fat Rosie's charge so much and this place is byfar better. We were in Roselle, and decided to try this place for dinner after reading some good reviews. We ordered carne asada and the taco salad with al pastor. Carne asada steak was good, but everything else was not. Al pastor had no flavor except it was a bit tart (weird) which was super disappointing. We ordered a pitcher of margarita and it hardly had any alcohol in it, all we tasted was the sour mix which was way too sweet. A Mexican restaurant with terrible margaritas says it all. I do have to say the service was decent, but definitely not worth coming here. read more

La Hacienda de Roselle is located in a stripmall like location on Irving Park Road. There's plenty of parking when we came here on a Thursday evening. Careful driving in or out of the lot, as there is quite a steep dip, and you will scrape the bottom of your bumper, if you're not careful. It doesn't look like this restaurant had any outdoor seating, but there was plenty of indoor seating and the spacing and arraignment was good, during this COVID-19 pandemic period. We got a booth and there was plenty of empty space around us. The dining area had hand sanitizer throughout, and all staff wore their masks properly. The dining area had a combination of booths and tables, including a couple of TVs wall-mounted. The decor here was tasteful and enjoyable. The food was pretty good! The guacamole was interesting, as it had lettuce in it. It was a first for me. When we got seated, we got complimentary chips and salsa, and pickled veggies. I always thought places that gave out the pickled veggies, is always a nice touch in authenticity. The salsas were fire, with the green one, literally, fire. It was hot. I got three tacos: carne asada, chicken tinga, and barbocoa. My favorite was the barbocoa; it was seasoned perfectly and the meat was tender and delicious. What's awesome is that after the meal, they give out complimentary fried bananas... it was delicious. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the middle of the restaurant, the designated Men's bathroom consisted of a single-person bathroom. Inside, there was a toilet and a sink.
