Saul, Blanca and the gang are wonderful! And then there's the food and drink.... absolutely excellent. The Don Julio and Mango margaritas were delicious and potent! Their carne asada is some of the best around. Saul told me once that they get the best beef for it...so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Flautas were great too! It's been a minute and I'm so happy have come back. I'm full.

Love, love, love La Hacienda! Our family hadn't been here in over 20 years but made this a priority on our trip back to the area. Our party ordered, steak, steak tacos, taco salad, and combination platters. Complimentary chips, salsa, and jalapeños relish as well as the best complimentary fried banana dessert for each. Friendly staff, and familiar authentic decor. They have live music to accompany the great, fresh food they are serving. Still love this place!

really enjoyed the food here it was the first spot we saw for mexican food. outside doesn't look like much and neither does the inside really. the menu had a bit to choose from. i went with the taco bowl and it was pretty filling. i wasn't able to finish it but the meat was really good and the toppings were fresh! the chips and salsa were also very good. we got fried bananas at the end which completed the meal well!

On the house after my meal!! Very good!!

Best service in town !! Very nice music very pleasant atmosphere! Had coctel de camarones ! Very good!

5 stars all day. Great service and the food was fuggin fire dude!!!! I had 3 tacos mix and match with an orcharta. Salsas were great. Guacamole was good but not great. But I don't care. Definitely recommend. They knew I had never been there so they gave me a free banana dessert!

I love the variety of their food menu! They have steak, salmon, chicken, pork, shrimp, duck, lamb, pasta, and some really nice appetizers. We ordered the charcuterie board and thought it was the perfect size for the two of us. Not many places offer duck, so I had to order it for dinner! The duck leg comes with carrots and duck fat roasted potatoes. It was incredibly delicious and tender. The flavor of the sauce was rich and paired great with the carrots and potatoes. Only thing is I did think some of the prices were a bit high compared to some other places I've been that serve similar quality food. Our waiter was nice and provided good service overall! I ordered pasta -- since it was a less-overpriced option -- alongside the cut corner from a plastic bag that was included with it (no joke: found on my last bite, ugh). It was likely from a bag of pre-cooked chicken or a pasta sauce pouch, similar to that of a distributor such as Sysco, which sells food products to restaurants. So yeah, THAT was a wonderful discovery. In summation, same story, different day... 1913 has amazing cocktails that are actually underpriced, great food (if you don't find plastic in it) and a nice atmosphere. However, pray you get good service or any service at all!

I was treating my parents for my dad's birthday month (My daughter has a lot of activities, lol) and the menu appeared to have something for everyone. The 22 minute drive to Itasca was so worth it! The restaurant, which is open to the public, is on the same property as the Itasca Country Club, which is not open to the public. You go down the stairs, through the developing pizza bar, and to the restaurant. The restaurant space itself is cozy, with beautiful, natural lighting, and lots of seating options. We were asked booth or table and seated right by the picture window with beautiful views of their ice rinks and golf course. The food was above and beyond my expectations! Between the 5 people at the table, I sampled the French Onion soup, Sweet & Spicy Brussels, Bacon Smash Burger, Pot Roast Grilled Cheese, Sweet Tees (Donut Holes), Peanut Butter Smore-o, and Verde Dulce. The soup was not salty as I find some iterations, the brussels had complex flavors with hot honey, bacon, candied pistachios, and crumbled feta. The pot roast grilled cheese was very flavorful, but my boyfriend did state he wished the sandwich had more meat in it. The Sweet Tees donut holes were cooked to perfection without being oily and the jam accompaniment was a perfect texture and level of sweet. The Peanut Butter Smore-o was creamy and decadent with its perfectly ratioed layers of ganache, peanut butter mousse, Oreos, and whipped cream. The Verde Dulce, though, was the delicious classic olive oil cake with pistachio gelato & that throwback of candied pistachios from my appetizer. Even better than the food, our server, Kara, was one of the sweetest, most attentive human beings! She answered all of our questions, refilled our fountain drink and iced tea glasses when they were at 75% without prompting, made sure my dad felt celebrated with a candle, etc. Her teammate who was in charge of clearing our table was also prompt and I appreciate her asking what plates she could take. Our starter was a shrimp cocktail- always hits the spot. While not "quite" as jumbo or crisp as I'd like, it was fresh and tasty. I ordered the artichoke, potato, and leek soup- loved it! Hubby ordered their signature pork chop and oh my god- that thing was huge! No joke- it was humongous! The taste was mildly reminiscent of a Honeybaked Ham, but it was OH so tender and juicy!
