Ordered the chicken fajitas again and they were even better than last time. The seasoning was perfect, and the chicken was moist. My only suggestion is to include a bit more red pepper. My husband got a steak burrito which I tried and loved. I typically do not care for burritos, but I'd get one of these for myself from this place. Not only are they huge, but the tortilla is not too thick and or chewy at all like some can be. The meat and fillings inside are seasoned well and there's enough juice in there that they aren't dry either. I couldn't stop stealing bites from my husband's plate. This is my new favorite local Mexican place. You get a large serving of delicious food for a reasonable price. read more

I love tacos. My husband and I decided to try tacos at this restaurant. The restaurant was cleaned and organized. They have some tables and chairs inside for customers who want to stay. However, most people have to go including myself. The tacos were very delicious and authentic. I had steak tacos. The meat was tender, moist, and juicy. Still coming here - same location though it may be under a slightly new name. Right next door to Tommy's, which in itself has been there decades. $1 taco days on Tues and Thurs, many different styles to choose from. Steak tacos are fantastic. Cute older woman inside, very friendly. I also like the old school traditional decor and pictures inside. Really is just one of those very small outifts, but they have good food and much of it is reasonably priced. I still go here 4-5 times a year, maybe more. read more

I think covid really messed things up for a lot of people, including mexican places. I gave up on El Famous in Glendale Heights since management changed and have since been looking for new places to try. I came here after reading reviews and just found the meat here to be so subpar at best. The people working were nice, but there isn't anything really compelling about the quality of food, not a place I will ever revisit. read more

Taqueria El Compa (new name) is near our house, so we tried the food and loved it!! We are a big family, so we are ordering 15-20 tacos or 6 burritos with rice in every order. The food is fresh and made in front of you. The guacamole is excelent!! The staff is friendly and helpful. Anytime we'd consider a dinner of fast food, Taqueria El Compa is not only a better tasting, fresh meal, but it's a better value also! Great portions. There's enough meat in one taco for two good sized tacos. The green sauce is sooo Tasty and Hot and the red sauce is the perfect earthly complement. Enough space to sit and eat for three people as I believe I saw three stools. Super fast service. Directly Next to Tommys Red Hots. Tried Uber eats and this restaurant was listed with good reviews. Now I know why! The tacos are delicious and fresh. You can chose the toppings for a little extra $. This has got to be the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten and I would never go back even if the food was free. The tacos were cold and soggy and the chicken flautas were frozen on the inside and and the fried shell wasn't edible as it was stale and hard as a rock. The avocado was brown and I didn't even bother to attempt eating it. Even the rice couldn't be done right. The rice seemed as it was pulled from the microwave as it was very hard and stale and had zero flavor. The only good thing I can say about this place is that I didn't get food poisoning.
