Been eating here occasionally for lunch and the food and service is great. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. Lane next to the buildings speaker isn't very loud but I can still hear it. Came by today at 10:55 just because I assumed they were already open and they still took my order and were very nice. Way better than Taco Bell. read more

We don't know if taco mayo is under new management or what but the crew at the trailer taco mile is definitely on there A game. The main lady we spoke with I assume was the manager, but was extremely friendly, and checked all items on our receipt to make sure everything was correct. Review I got a burrito, tots, and a side of Spanish rice with a sprite. Meehhhhhhh. That's it. That's the review. Jk. This place was better than expected but still worse than hoped for. Hubby and I are on a road trip from the STL area to El Paso, and I've been craving tacos. So when we stopped for gas and I saw the sign for this, that's what I decided to get. So, the presentation of this was cute. It wasn't just thrown all Willy Nilly into a bag. It was positioned into a little tray with the burrito neatly wrapped, tater tots in a little baggie, and the rice in its own cup. Cute. The burrito was freshly made (meaning the lettuce was still crispy instead of being mushy), and the tortilla had been steamed nicely. Points, again, for presentation. The texture of the tortilla was good. The flavor of the burrito was just meh. To bump the flavor up a notch I smothered it in their hot sauce (which was mild to me; so I wonder what their mild sauce is like? Sweet maybe? Idk). The rice was also just meh. It looked good. Had a nice red color implying seasoning, but it tasted like water. Like all those jokes about La Croix tasting like if a fruit silently farted near the beverage instead of the beverage being actually flavored like the fruit. This tasted like a bag of taco seasoning walked near the rice, and an unlucky morsel of seasoning had the misfortune of being stranded from the rest of the bag by falling into the rice instead. Poor little seasoning morsel. The rice looked good, and was cooked well (texture was great), but alas was still bland. Finally, the tater tots. They were cooked well AND seasoned well. Crispy with seasoned salt on them. YUM. Not enough to carry the whole meal, but still, YUM. I love a good crispy round. If it matters to you, the meal came with a huge fountain drink. I don't like fountain drinks, but I got sprite just to avoid the awkward exchange of asking for water but wanting the free cup water not the expensive bottled water (which I already had multiple of in the car, because, road trip). The sprite was crisp and cold and fizzy. Not my cup of tea (Er, sprite?) but I'm sure somebody would be happy that it wasn't warm or flat. Overall, meh. It was like if you downgraded Taco Bell by a millimeter (or maybe upgraded middle school elementary hot lunch by a millimeter) then presented it nicely. The staff was nice too, though the food took a little longer than I'd like. Not a bad experience, but I was underwhelmed. Shame on me for expecting more, especially considering what the other reviews already said. I thought, "maybe all of those other reviews were flukes and my meal will be AWESOME!" I typically don't write reviews for chain restaurants, but I had to on this one. This is the SLOWEST drive-thru fast food joint that I have ever been to, no exaggeration. My family and I have gone to this location since we moved to Chandler a couple of years ago. We don't eat out a lot, but every time we try to give this place a chance, we sit in line forever. The first time, we probably sat 3-4 cars behind in line for 20 minutes. The most recent time, I was picking up an order we called in. I sat behind one car for 8 minutes, yes, I timed it. Once I got to the window, nobody opened it for 6 minutes. I told them I had an online order and the lady said "Oh, yeah, we have that ready," however I proceeded to sit there for an additional 4 minutes. If it's ready, why not just hand it to me? It's already been paid for. I've worked fast food and I know they have those drive-thru timers. I bet their time is awful. Who owns this location? They're failing. Miserably. read more

Food is ok Service is slow they need to open the dining room back up Also they have a so called glitch it their cash registers that does not give you the discount you are supposed to get they over charge you . They have been called several times no they won't even respond. I guess people need to go to taco Mayo corporate office. read more

We have eaten here twice in the last 7 days and have been sick afterwards BOTH times! Same thing in the past, we just thought since it was redone it may be better but it's not! Also there's a blonde girl that works the food line and she is super RUDE! I apologized several times bc I forgot to tell her beef and she put chicken and she literally grabbed the chicken and threw it off of my plate back into the container never said a word to me! Man at the front counter quickly turned and ran when he saw my party (myself and 3 kids) didn't tell any other workers. The woman at the drive-thru window walked over and took care of us when she saw us. She was very kind. Good food. Enjoyed the chicken tacos very much my sons enjoyed their beef tacos and burritos. Lacking horchata though and that's a good mexican staple. The soda machine was fun for the kiddos though. Just felt very insulted the man simply turned and ran when he saw us. They do a decent job. Most workers are very friendly and they have been able to handle my large or small orders easily!

I give it 4 stars and not five not because service or quality was lacking in any way because it wasn't, they never got my order incorrect at the drive thru which is more than I can say for most fast food places but you got 4 because that's just the highest I can give something like fast food. That said clean resteraunt friendly staff and I get what I expect which is decent food. Those who say they get sick are normally the ones who never allowed their immune systems to exercise. The manager is very rude that I dealt with the night before Thanksgiving. She took my order and filled it and also got it wrong. When I got home, one of my children did not have a meal and my husband was missing his. We are patrons of this establishment often (no longer thanks to this manager) and our orders range from $20-$50 depending on how many of our family members are eating there. When I went up to get my son's order, two young men got on it and tried to fix it. One of them, even bought my son queso since I chose not to spend any more after the extra 30 minutes of driving she cost me. When the manager finally came back out front, she was able to pull up my receipt and immediately had an attitude, rather than being apologetic (saying sorry means nothing when you are rude), and then told me what was rung up. I let her know that should not be my problem. I have no issues paying for my products, even the silly extra charge for salsa, but this was IN NO WAY my fault or problem. She told me if I wanted to ring up the order than it would be fixed. I told her that she was welcome to throw the order those awesome young men made in the trash and that we would just go buy something from another business. I paid the young man back for the wasted queso, took the managers name and my son and I left. I highly recommend not bothering with this establishment because this is not the only incident I know of like this. read more

The food is what you pay for, but the customer service is HORRIBLE. My card was charged twice for one visit. I was hung up on by the staff when calling to resolve the issue. I was given excuse after excuse and never a resolution. After I contacted their corporate office (who just forwarded the e-mail to the franchise owner), I received an e-mail from the owner. The owner took the staff's side, who had told her they'd tried to contact me by phone on multiple occasions to resolve the issue. The manager also told the owner that he'd called and spoken to me on one occasion, which was untrue. The hole in this story is that I never gave any of the staff my phone number. I'll never go to a Taco Mayo again! :) read more
