Small town food, big flavor had the club sandwich it was huge they didn't hold back on the meat

Food is good and service is as good as can be with usually only one or two wait-staff. It's busy during usual eating hours and that does add some wait time once you are seated before being helped, but they are friendly and doing the best they can! They have a little tricycle-type thing mounted on a ring for kids out front, it usually keeps the kids entertained and busy while we are checking out at the front and gathering to go drinks. They love looking around at all the things mounted on the walls and ceiling. Parking is a bit bumpy and can be dangerous with the amount of traffic and speed they are going: but it's the usual destination gas/service station conversation. read more

I have eaten here since it replaced the hungry horny toad years ago! I have tried most things on the menu and they were all tasty and good! They are my go to for smothered hamburger steak and Sauerkraut! I love meeting friends here for food and socializing! read more

One of our favorite local places. Awesome Route 66 vibes lots of cool stuff to look at one the walls and around the place. Parking is a little tricky. Food is great you get good portion amounts for the price. Our service has always been good. They have a great drink selection with lots of local breweries beers available. If you're traveling rt. 66 I'd highly recommend stopping in. read more

I was in town and hungry and a quick search pulled up this restaurant so we decided to try it. The minute we opened the door you could smell the smoked meats. It was phenomenally amazing! It's an old gas station refurbished into a cafe/diner. The restaurant is decorated in a lot of old mechanic and gas station motif. I absolutely love it. Not a week later I was meeting a family member to eat there again. Food is delicious, service is great! I highly recommend eating here. read more

The folks there were very kind and welcoming. We came in to wait out a storm going over the interstate and I'm glad we did. The food was great and it was very affordable, though I would have been happy paying more for the food I got. Excellent service!! Our waitress incredible. She offered a checkers game and helped us deter our 8 yr old son from staying on electronics! We played checkers the whole meal and not once looked at electronics. She recommended the catfish and butterfly shrimp. It was fantastic. Great catfish!! The sweet potato fries are probably some of the best I've had! The kids Mac and cheese is homemade! So refreshing that it wasn't Easy Mac! And the chunk chicken on the kid's plate was very good!!! The Destinations Burger was mouthwatering and good! And definitely had a kick. Great laid back atmosphere and we felt right at home! It was great talking with our waitress. She made the visit perfect. We loved looking at the decor. And our kiddo loved the vintage tricycle merry-go-round outside. Definitely worth the stop on our road trip! It's a great use of an old It's Gas Station on Route 66. Every inch is filled with Nostalgia looking around you will say oh I remember that. The Beer was ice cold perfect with the Oklahoma heat. We stayed with an appetizer since the dinner portions are so large great value for the Buck. The service was slow they may have been short handed but Slow is Slow when your on a Road Trip since we only ordered an appetizer and never thought to give us smaller plates instead we had to share one plate read more

Finally tried this restaurant out as it used to be my dad's car lot/car shop prior to Destinations and it was def neat to see what they did to the place & to bring back good memories. I forgot to get pics of our food but overall, the food wasn't bad and it all came out very hot. The burgers could def use some seasoning though & their fries didn't look all that good so I got the sweet potato fries and they were delicious. I thought the prices were a little high on some of the sides and the pop was not very good at all especially for the price so do yourself a favor and just get water. *UPDATE* Went again to eat & the experience was not so great. They were out of potatoes but not out of fries. The catfish was not good either. We have decided only to get burgers from here. Both times the servers seemed incompetent & were very slow while having to be asked several times for the same thing. They definitely need more training and there needs to be more management in the front of the restaurant. Their outfits are too revealing especially when there are families & children in there eating & servers should not wear flip flops in my opinion. The appearance of the workers make a huge difference on whether people will come back or not. read more

Destinations restaurant is an awesome dive, Located in Chandler Oklahoma. This once was a gas station dating back to it looks like the 40s 50s the inside has been converted to a fun restaurant. I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, brown gravy and white gravy. The breading on the chicken fried steak was very tasty, but the meat was not tender, it needed to be put through the tenderizer a few more times. Mashed potatoes for bland, the canned green beans - average. My sister ordered chicken fried steak, fried pickles & fried okra. and my nephew ordered Destination Burger and fries. The Okra and the fried pickles were delicious. My nephews who is a regular customer here ordered his usual the 'Destination burger' it's very good with the grilled onions, jalapeños and of course yummy bacon. My wife and I had dined at the Destinations in Prague in 2022. We loved it. The fried catfish was fabulous. Knowing it was catfish Friday, a visit to the Destinations in Chandler was in order. I was looking for a burger and fries. I knew my wife would bite on the catfish. The restaurant is in an old gas station as is the Destinations in Prague. The lay out and décor is almost identical. You can spend and hour searching the antiques and collectable memorabilia randomly arranged around the top of the walls and ceiling. Neat décor. The service is fantastic. The attractive, personable, friendly Kathy took care of us. She is a very nice young lady full of enthusiasm with a genuine caring personality. Our food was good, but not of the same quality as the meal we had in Prague. My wife went with the catfish basket with okra, as predicted. I stuck with a cheeseburger and fries. The burger and fries were good/average. The catfish didn't taste as fresh and the coating seemed different than the excellent meal, we had in Prague. Overall, good food, good portions and good prices. I do recommend the restaurant. I came in with very high expectations and was a little disappointed, but not disappointed by the service. read more

We had the club sandwich and a cheseburger, so good and really fast service. The decor was vintage and homey feel.

We ordered destinations to go for a company meeting. The atmosphere is cool but, the food is average. Not a bad stop for a small town but, definitely not my first choice. We had the chicken fried steak sandwich and the rooster sandwich. The chicken friend steak sandwich was very funky tasting and they didn't have the rye bread for that Ruben sandwich we originally ordered. They do have a wine and beer menu if you're there for the evening which is something the majority of restaurants in town do not have. read more

This" hole in the wall" diner? Yea I'll go with diner is a wonderful,charming destination!(see what I did there) It might not impress you much from the outside,but once you step inside it's a nostalgic trip back to the good old days. Super friendly waitstaff, great ambiance highlighted by the countless antiques everywhere. The menu is good as well as the prices,the only negative thing I could say is that my salad was in a bowl that was too small. Food was mediocre at best. Off the truck and nothing homemade. No crackers served w small dinner salad. No bread served w entre. Worst was the fact they overcharged and when questioned, server said that's what I have to do. I will not return and encourage the traveller or locals to take your money elsewhere. Not very clean, lots of flies and musty old smell. Skip this place. In spite of the name it is not a destination. read more

The food was very well made. Everything tasted great. Our server was very attentive and very bubbly. We loved all the curiosities that were hung all over the walls and ceiling, so much so that we kept finding new things to look at. We were told by the server that the owners own several antique stores and you could see it in the variety of things there and in how it was laid out. The cook/chef knew what he was doing. We tried this place for lunch recently. Right off I was disappointed that the staff didn't wear masks. Fortunately it was after the lunch rush so we were able to socially distance. I ordered the catfish plate. The catfish was quite good and nicely seasoned. The green beans were over seasoned IMO. The mashed potatoes and gravy was good. The hush puppies were good but only have 2 with 4 pieces of fish. IMO, there should be 1 for each fish filet. Husband got a chicken fried salad. Chicken was good and tender but salad wasn't anything to write home about. He said the lettuce was "tired". Poor lettuce. But all in all, it was ok. read more

If you have a spare two hours to kill this place is for you. Fried mushrooms were cold on the inside with uncooked batter, too bad cause flavor was good. We went to Destinations yesterday for lunch after church with some visiting pastors. There were 11 of us who came in after the typical Sunday lunch rush was over. They greeted us with a smile, seated us and took our drink orders right away. They waited on us with great efficiency and got every order right. The food was delicious and we were able to sit and visit a while with our friends without feeling rushed at all. They were super accommodating to all our needs and our friends loved the charm of the restaurant. It was their first visit to Chandler and they loved it. We are thankful to have this jewel in our little town. read more

I'll be back. My husband and I moved to Chandler in February 2019 and we tried every food place in the area within the first couple of months, so we were excited to see this place opening. We don't know when it opened, but we passed one day and decided we should check it out. We entered the door to an empty lobby. No one at the register and a few people at some tables. I look around for a sign on whether to wait or seat myself and there was nothing. So I poked my head into the dining area and asked other customers, "Do I just seat myself?" And one replied with, "I think so." The room was very quiet. No music playing. But it came on after about 10 minutes. After sitting, we were approached by a young girl with menus who came off a bit antisocial, and shy. I ordered my toddler's food immediately. He got the chunk chicken with fries. The chicken and ranch were delicious. The fries were a bit soggy, but the taste was good. I think if they would have cooked a little longer, they'd be great as well. We saw on the menu that a beer menu would be on the table, but there wasn't so we asked our waitress and she said she didn't think they had one. She returned with a handwritten list of the beer menu which we ordered from. My husband and I ordered at the same time. It took quite a while for our food to get to us, especially considering that there were only three tables of people, including our own and one of which already had their food. After we ordered our food, we realized we didn't order the appetizer we wanted so we ordered that to go as soon as we thought about it. My husband got the hamburger steak with mac and cheese and fried okra and I got chicken fried steak, mac and cheese, and a loaded baked potato. The hamburger steak came out very hot. I'm not a fan of mushrooms so I didn't try it, but he said it was good, however he said our son's chunk chicken was better and he wishes he had ordered that. Mac and cheese was tasty and the okra was very good as well. The chicken fried steak was room temperature which was concerning because of how long it took to get our food. The baked potato was also room temperature and it tasted like they used bacon bits instead of real bacon and that was disappointing. When our waitress came with our check, she asked if we wanted anything to-go.. we said no. We knew we ordered the appetizer to-go, but it was a slow experience, we decided to cut our losses and just go. It wasn't on the check so we just let it go, however she caught her mistake and brought our to-go box while in line to pay. Now, I realize this is a new business and they still have to figure out where the kinks are and how to fix them in order to make things more smooth in the future. I will return to see the difference. This was not meant to be a rude review, but to give the owner and the workers an outside POV so they can figure out how to fix things. Not a horrible experience, but definitely not the best. Plenty of room for improvement. read more

We had the "Loaded Smokie Okie" for our starter. When I say it was exceptional...it was beyond delish! The smoked flavor exceeded my expectation. If you have an opportunity to stop at this hidden jem on the curve in Chandler; don't pass it up. Starlina took great care of us and had great recommendations for our next visit.
