I'm so happy I happened upon this place! I originally chose this restaurant because in Los Angeles there's a popular spot with the same name so I was hoping there would be a correlation here. And so there was! Haha, all the tacos I ordered were so delicious! I especially enjoyed the adobada taco. When we ordered we told the kind server we wanted our tacos with everything (con todo). The adobada taco was super flavorful, juicy and addicting. It came with a complementary cilantro-looking sauce that made the taco even better. The Suadero was soft and flavorful as well with a spicy kick. The Asada was flavorful and came with lots of guacamole/avocado. They also give you a small plate full of limes and slices of radishes to enjoy with your food/tacos. It is a very spacious restaurant with a VIP side (maybe for locals or etc) and a regular side. Although they don't have beer they had a fridge filled with refreshing soft drinks. I highly recommend you try this place just a hop across the border, it is only a short uber ride away.
Really delicious tacos in Zona Rio/Tijuana area. Parking can be located on the back designated lot, or in the surrounding streets. This joint is located right across from Costco. I ordered their regular tacos with asada, adobada, lengua, cabeza, and suadero. I also tried their tamarindo and horchata which came as bottled drinks. My favorite tacos were definitely the adobada and asada. Their salsa had a nice kick. There are also radish and lime available at the table. Service was friendly. Tacos were about 44 pesos and up. They also had quesa tacos, burritos, and quesadillas.
I'm from Los Angeles, and I've always been on "the search" in finding the best taco spot in Tijuana. I feel like I might've just found it. El Taconazo as it appears on Apple Maps is my new To Go spot whenever I'm across the border. The tacos were soooo damn good, I got 2 chorizo, 2 asada, and 2 buche with a Mexican coke ... man o' mannn it hit the spot. F the diet I was in here in Los Angeles, when you're in Mexico it should be a crime not to pig out. I guess the only downside was no beer lol, I definitely felt like having one with these bomb tacos were a must but the coke was a good replacement :) The service was good! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. Waiters had good energy, and were friendly overall. Nevertheless I'll for sure be back! Gained a customer out of me .
The service was fast and easy and we were able to grab our mainly to-go order without a hitch. We had some lengua mulitas while we waited and they were delicious. I brought lengua, asada and al pastor tacos home for the family and it was a hit. Definitely a great place for a quick bite as it's a very casual joint with quick service.
The best lengua tacos I've ever had. The other meats are pretty good also. Prices are cheaper than SD.
There are several Taco Nazos in Tijuana. I am unaware if they are all under the same ownership as a chain. What I do know is that this location was on a main thoroughfare in the Zona Centro with plenty of taco shops to choose from. The suite was being refurbished, but business continued as usual. We came here after eating at a competitor less than a mile away on the same side of the street. The entrance was on the back side adjacent to an outdoor patio. A hostess assigned us to a long table near the front where we could see the sidewalk. Two large stations each had menu boards above them with meats being cooked on a spit and grills. Most of the tacos were priced at 37 pesos apiece. Tortas, quesadillas, and mulitas were more expensive at 100 pesos each. I recommended to each member of our party to order one or two tacos at most to pace ourselves throughout the walking foodie tour. I picked a Suadero which was a cut of beef between the belly and the leg (i.e. shank). The taco was served on two corn tortillas filled with meat, cilantro, onions, and salsa verde. Compared to the previous place where we ate, the price was the same, however my taco wasn't quite as juicy. The service from the waiter was fine although his English skills weren't as proficient. Part of my downgraded rating was because the ongoing construction left the exterior of the dining area as an open-air and incomplete setting. I rated our stop at Taco Nazo with 3.5 stars.
Tacos in Tijuana, Mexico... This was stop #4 of five places on our unofficial Foodie Tour. Emmett had plotted out our journey and selected Taco Nazo for our last savory meal of the day. I was really full from the tostada, horchata, and tacos at other places. I.just.could.not.eat.anything.else I did observe efficient service in the open-air environment. My friends' food did appear and smell delicious! Next time we're there, I surely will get an adobada taco... we watched the worker shave the meat off of the rotisserie... wow... it looked so delectable!
We came here for some tacos. They greeted us right away and offered us to dine outside or a table inside. The weather was great that day so we decided to stay outside. The menu is posted outside on the wall and their service was prompt. We didn't have to wait to get a table but buy the time we were done eating, there was already a lot of people waiting to sit down. I ordered two Adobada tacos, and two Asada tacos. My wife also ordered a Tripa taco and it was good. Tacos were 36 pesos each. Both meats were delicious l, but I would say the Adobada tacos were better. The Asada tacos came with your carne Asada, cebolla y cilantro, and a very creamy guacamole. The meat was perfectly cooked and the guacamole went perfect with the tacos. The Adobada taco came with your pork meat cebolla y cilantro and a delicious green salsa. The pork was so tender and the salsa paired perfectly with the Adobada meat. No wonder this place gets packed. The tacos are amazing here. Will definitely be returning.
The food is amazing. I love the high protein veggies option. The service is quick to order. The kitchen took a little longer. The ambiance was loud; but manageable
Anytime we are in Tijuana, Taco Nazo is a must. Even order it to our Airbnb. It is worth it. It is always jam packed and lively... so be prepared to wait. They have a variety of meats. I've tired the carne asada(grilled steak), lengua (tongue), adobado(marinated pork) , buche, suadero, and tripa (tripe). I will say my favorite are the adobado, suadero and lengua. Soo good. Cooked perfectly. I usually go for the vampiros. Basically a corn tortilla (not fried) but grilled until perfectly crunchy with layers of cheese and meats. I like to ask for a side of grilled onions, nopales (cactus), and radish. Their sauces and salsas are really good. Just be careful of the spice level of some. The tacos are great and filling, the vampiros are my favorite but the torta is nothing special. Definitely recommend!
Taconazo has been my choice the past 2 years when I head down to Tijuana since they are right there after crossing into Mexico. These are really good tacos. They may not be the best in Tijuana but they are a strong choice for tacos before you head back over the border. My taco review *Adobada: these are my favorite. Plenty of meat and lots of flavor. Kind of what the old Tacos El Gordo used to taste before it went downhill. *Carne Asada: they are solid. They have everything you need in a Tijuana taco, although I prefer other spots if I am just going for carne asada. *Cabeza: another solid choice. They have lots of flavor without being overly greasy, which can be an issue at some taquerias. They also have lots of variations (burritos, vampiros, mulitas and quesadillas) that you can make with the various meat choices if you want to go down that route. Family typically goes down the quesadillas route since they love the flour tortillas. The red salsa is good and can be a bit spicy for those that are sensitive to that. You can order grilled green onions/chiles (surtidos), but you do get charged for that. Overall a solid choice to satisfy the itch for tacos near downtown Tijuana.

The food was amazing and the restaurant was clean, but unfortunately the lady who took our order gave us very VERY poor service. Everyone else seemed very sweet and attentive unlike her. read more

What can I say? I've been to the Taconazo in Playas around 100 times. Waited around 20 minutes for a table at about 5pm at this location. Holy shit, it was so good! Taconazo is the best! read more

AMAZING TACOS! Wow. It's no surprise that we would run into some good taco joints while in TJ but Taconazo really took us by surprise at how good they were. We were looking for somewhere to get street tacos from since our initial go-to shop was closed for the day. Luckily we ran into this place because it was delicious. You seat yourself down and wait for a server to come and take your order. The menu is written above the kitchen where you see the team working hard to prepare all the food for the restaurant, like a classic taqueria. Tacos here ranged from MXP25 - 45 depending on your meat of choice. There were a few words in Spanish that I had no idea what they were but we ordered, tried them, and fell in love. Their carne asada taco came with a big helping of guac and onions that really did it for me. I also loved their tripas taco and their adobaba. You're also provided with additional salsas to add (including ranch) to make your taco the best it can be for you. The open air style of seating made this a beautiful spot for lunch on a sunny day. You're entirely covered so there's no need to worry about deadly UV rays, but it's a treat to be able to enjoy tacos and people watch all at the same time. Highly recommend checking this taqueria out if you're looking for great tacos at really affordable prices. read more

I decided to come to TJs and only eat at taquerias. I went to multiple ones and they're all really, really solid. Like 8 out of 10. I had only one complaint: at every place I went to there wasn't really a salsa bar. So all the tacos get served with lime and radishes which is cool, but I'm used to having a salsa bar with pickled onions, pickled carrots, different salsas, etc. If any one of these places had this, the tacos would have been amazing! I'm actually going to copy and paste this portion to all the places I went to then my 2nd para I'l go into detail on what I ordered. This place is newer than other taquerias in the city. It's even got some vegetarian options. I ordered a suadero taco which I've never heard of. I was amazed there was a taco I've never eaten. It's really solid. Super tasty. read more
Having scoured Santa Ana and Anaheim for the best tacos, Taconazo just makes things more difficult. I tried two of their tacos, along with a tostada, and was in taco bliss. It looks like a counter order place, but it's not. You walk in, get greeted by the friendly guy at the door, pick a table, and it's table service with a smile. The place was clean and had a vibe that was clearly quite cool by hipster standards, at least that's what I would think, not being one of those things. Asada: Every ingredient matters here, and makes for a fantastic taco. They don't try to slather on the guacamole to cover up the tough tasteless carne. Rather, the bits of meat alone are tender with deep flavor. One of the best asada tacos I've ever had. The guac is plentiful though, and very tasty. Chorizo Taco: Saleezataca! Pinkish with somewhat of a ground beef meets polska kielbasa texture, this was subtly sweet and flavorful. While this was my least favorite, it was an excellent taco. The others were just so good. Quesa Taco Vampiro with Cabesa: Fried tortilla tostada style, topped with melted cheese, a pile of tender melty cabesa, diced onion, cilantro, and a good dollop of green salsa. This was my favorite. The cabesa wasn't fatty at all, but just tender and very flavorful. Just loved this. I did add some of the salsa they bring on the side to add some heat. If you go, good luck with parking. Wow! I've been to their establishments before many moons ago, but when I visited this place on Tuesday...wow I had forgotten how delicious their tacos and other menu items were! OMG the tripas were to die for! I wish I had another stomach to have eaten some more, because I couldn't get enough. I also got a vampiro and that was also delicious. It is a big establishment, but the taste is no different than a street taco stand. Don't sleep on this place! They are a few all over Tijuana. read more

3 day Tijuana trip, and we ate here twice. We tried every variation of the tacos over the two evenings. I loved the tongue, my friend wasn't a fan. As with most of these taco joints, the al pastor and bistek were always our favorites. Don't forget to ask for radishes and all the salsas to spice up your taco life. All tacos are about $1 USD, so really nothing should stop you from trying everything your heart desires! read more

These are some of the best street tacos in TJ. I've been going here now for a while and always leave satisfied. Their Adobada (not pictured) are delicious. The meat has a bit of a crunch and the flavor is the right amount of spicy. The Saudero and Birria tacos are likewise noteworthy. Both have good flavors, though I think I prefer the Birria just a little more. The tortilla is fried slightly, which allows it to hold up better under the Birria. So whenever you're in town, swing by Taco Nazo. The hype for this long established taco stand (more like restaurant now) is well deserved. read more

Finally, some birria tacos which were not spicy and did not upset my stomach. Parking was convenient there was an attendant. Restrooms were clean. They accept cash and card. read more

Great food and great service! We ordered several types of tacos and agree from yummiest to less yummy were: adobada, Tripitas, lengua, asada (but we're not huge fans of asada tacos in Mexico). Asada tacos come with one handmade corn tortilla, they were d yummy but we felt the other meats had a lot more flavor. The other tacos came with 2 non-handmade corn tortillas. read more

Jeez, this food is great! I gobbled 6 tacos!!! A few al pastor, asadas, and suaderos. They were all very tasty very fresh and moist meat. The tortillas were grilled so they were toasty. I loved it! Gave the tacos more texture. The staff wasn't overly friendly or even inviting, however the space was very large. There were several TVs and the kitchen area is an open format where the cooks prep your food right in front of you. There is also an outdoors area that was covered in a tent like style. They kept the tacos coming but was a bit disappointed because they didn't make their own fresh juices like other taquerias. Everything was bottled. Aside from that these tacos were almost as amazing as Taco Puebla. Tight race. You choose. read more
