Tacos El Gordo always makes the best tacos. Al pastor and carne asada are my go to's. They have many more to choose from.

Tacos were very good but we got ripped off!! 960 pesos which should be $48 but yet he charged us $56 dollars. When we questioned it he was very rude! Tacos were 30 or 40 pesos each yet somehow we were charged 960 pesos for 20 tacos. No matter how we add it up it doesn't equal 960 pesos. He didn't want to explain how he came up with that amount. Really , some of the best street tacos i've ever had. Its a long walk down the main ave, but well worth it. Tacos are 25 pesos and cokes are 20 pesos. Locals walk up to the serving/bar area and order from the servers who make the tacos right in front of you. Radiches and limes are on the table. The tacos have a unique flavor, very tasty, beautifully sloped together with plenty of guacamole and fiery salsa that's unique on its own. They had great and fast service! Very nice men. Amazing and tasty tacos! I just wish I asked for the beef to be cooked a bit more but regardless the tacos were amazing. Just know they cook the meet a little bit on the raw side but you can request to have the meat cooked a bit more. read more

By far the most memorable tacos of our whole trip, we ordered 4 pastor tacos, which were AMAZING. We got bar seats right in front of the spit meat. Greeted and served by the taco barista who managed the spit roast. He was super friendly and prompt, we threw in a tostado which was dry and stale so I'd avoid it at all cost. The smell alone from the meat was tantalizing. The juices and accompaniments paired perfectly together, had a little heat to it but delicious overall. I will mention, service from the cashier who seemed to be the owner was absurd. He was just a jerk, he saw us coming to close the bill and literally walked off without a word. Then seeing as we're VERY foreign, we tried our best to communicate but he had a very off putting attitude. Thankfully a local was there to guide our way through. Tacos were bomb, service from him left a terrible impression. There's a ton of other locations which we'd happily visit instead. read more

All I can say I been coming here for years. Every time I come I always end up with a full stomach and a happy camper. When you first get to the place they have parking, clean bathrooms, and really amazing staff. Everyone there is perky and if you are a regular they remember you. I love their tacos because the tortillas are handmade, the meats are clean and fresh with great flavor, and most of all amazing salsas and toppings. You can't go wrong with that. So if you're in Tijuana try them out. I know I will be going back next time like my tradition with my family. read more

This is my favorite taco spot in TJ. I loveeeeee Gordo's. I have been to many tacos spots out here in Tijuana from on the street to in the restaurants and I ALWAYS want to come here. Gordo has seen us drunk many of times lol and the staff is cool as hell... but the sopas and tacos de asada is my favorite. I've tried the mulitas, and a quesadilla here too, Bomb horchata, bomb salsa rojo y verde (which is everything to me) if your salsa is not on point the meal is TRASH... people I'm with like the pastor and lengua... and prices are on hit. They have tables to eat at or take it to go. I heard they have a Vegas location too... got to see if it's as good. Yum. read more

Best tacos in TJ in my opinion. I always come here when in town. Best meat is the carne. The pastor is alright to. Even though their known for tacos the best thing I like from the menu is the carne asada quesadilla. It's more than meat and cheese. Their salsa and guacamole. You can have it on flower or corn. If flower they make the tortilla right in front of you. If you really like cheese just ask for a plain quesadilla but try not to choke on the cheese that's when you know it's good read more

This place was not revolution blvd location. This place was in town south of revolution blvd . i was very dissapointed in this spot. I love the tacos at the other locationsthe meat had no favor at all. I was going to stop at taconazo but it was packed. That was my first mistake. Always go to the packed places to eat. Well, ok the phrase "Best tacos I've ever eaten" gets thrown around a lot. But this place is pretty legit. A lot of the items on the menu (in Spanish, google translate was Muy helpful) I was hesitant to order so I went with the tried and true bbq pork and beef. Wow, the pork (Al pastor) tacos were incredible! I eat them all the time in LA but here, with the guac and the sauce was really special. Great service, great food and convenient location! Easy to find and they have a parking lot. The cooks are all friendly and quick. There's bowls of limes and radishes at each table so you'll never have to worry about being a pain and asking for more. There's also grilled onions available at the counter. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The only thing I really didn't like was the tacos de pastor they were really greasy. I also did not like the "guacamole" it was very watery. Came to the world famous Tacos El Gordo for the first time on a day Mexico trip. The food was pretty good. I can't say I was blown away but I had some really good tacos here. The Al pastor were my favorite. For the price it ends up being around $1.50 a taco which I would think is a little high for TJ. Still really good a worth a visit. Nice people who work here. read more
