I love coming to taco pronto and there food is amazing but the reson is the service I went through the drive through and ordered 9 tacos and 3 orders of beans and I always pay with ima and apparently there's a 20$ limit witch is not listed anywhere and they did not tell me tell after I had paid so I left with less food and when I asked to why the lady was sassy And then I asked can we just do a another transaction and with a very snotty and rude tone and attitude said I am sooty we can't do that wit his not ok to treat customers that way and it dose not make any sense why she could have done a second transaction I will come back but I was not happy with the experience but the food was still good read more

I love Taco Pronto. I've been coming here since I was a kid. They recently changed their fired flour tacos which made me sad because they aren't nearly as good as they used to be. But thankfully they still have amazing taco burgers and enchiladas. Fun fact, their crushed ice has won awards. Sooooo perfect. Love their ice. While the menu offers mild and hot sauce, they will mix the two for a medium sauce or if you want to control the heat ask for both on the side and you can adjust it yourself. read more

When Taco Pronto was Taco Pete's in the early '70s, I worked there. Taco Pronto has been my go to Mexican fast food choice since. Usually their inexpensive menu fills me up nicely. I usually get Combo 2 or Combo 3. Sometimes I get both. Sometimes I get them along with a Taco Salad. I've always ate my fill and enjoyed every bite. Since the store on Central closed (and it had problems that encouraged and justified its closing), those reasons seem to have gone to the 21st store and not in a good way. The food is too salty. The chips seem to be cooked in very old oil and so have a raunchy taste to them. The beef enchilada seems literally thrown together in a very messy way. The sancho and taco burger are no longer as full of ingredients as they were. The amount of cheese on the enchilada and tacos are beyond ridiculous. There was a time when Taco Pronto received all kinds of justified accolades. The owners are either sitting on them and allowed the business to drift downward or the store has new owners who simply don't care about the quality of the products. I'd like to see Taco Pronto return to those award winning days with improved service, improved and consistent food preparation, and a commitment to all those Wichita fans like me to be better. read more

Customer service isnt the best. Feel extremely rushed ordering. 2 stars for food price. Extremely cheap which reflects on the quality and taste. Chicken tastes like a tire. Chips taste like theyve been sitting out since WWII. My dog wouldnt eat them. The tacos stick to the wrapping papers so you miss half of the tortilla. Yeah doubt i will be back. It's been a couple of years since I wasted my money trying to get decent food at this dump. This time I ordered three tacos, a sancho, a taco pizza and a beef enchilada. The tacos were soggy and mashed flat in the bottom of the bag. The taco pizza was an inedible glop of mush in a styrofoam container and they didn't even put the green olives on top of the mush. The beef enchilada had no enchilada sauce on it...AGAIN. The sancho didn't even exist because they either forgot to make it or didn't put it in my bag. I am going to take my own advice and NEVER attempt to eat at this pathetic poophole again. How they stay in business is a complete mystery to me. read more

Small, clean and packed with customers, this little building emanates happiness, cheerful attitudes, plenty of smiles and delicious food. If you want a snug little place to grab a bite to eat, this is it. Now and then they even publish coupons in the paper, which is how we originally discovered this gem. The servings are generous, the refills free, the ice is the crushed kind that keeps a drink refreshingly cold. I will be back again soon for another Taco salad! read more

Taco Pronto has great tacos, burritos and taco burgers for a fast food restaurant. Their sauces are delicious and fresh. However, when I went in yesterday, the woman working the cash register had her mask hanging off her nose. When I told her she should cover her nose, she just kind of blew it off. I saw her working the window with the mask around her neck. She would pull it up over her mouth at the register but not over her nose. If their employees don't care enough to follow a state mandate to protect their customers from COVID19, I don't feel the need to go back until the pandemic is over. In addition, customers came in without masks and the employees don't instruct them to put a mask on. Therefore, I would not recommend this place for anyone who wants to avoid perhaps being infected with coronavirus. One other thing I noticed is that they use pre-grated cheese which looks and tastes very dry. It might be okay if melted slightly but it looked to be pretty old. read more

I've been eating at Taco Pronto for almost 40 years. If you like pork in your taco then this is the place to be. They have amazingly good taco salads with loads more meat than the other local fast food mexican restaurants and the prices are very very competitive. This past weekend I had the pork flour fried taco and a pork taco burger. Pure heaven. I am generally a drive thru type of person when it comes to fast food and they are always very friendly to me (and my dogs) They sauce they make is delicious and they have daily specials during the week that are great (when I can remember them.) Out of the super-cheap fast food quasi-Mexican restaurants positioning themselves at the cardinal directions of the city (West-Taco Pronto, East-Taco Town, South-Taco J's. Maybe Taco Rio if you're feeling generous, and maybe Taco Shop if you just don't care at all) Taco Pronto is well ensconced on the west side. Though Taco J's is my ideal experience for the hard shell taco, Taco Pronto's wasn't bad. The beef wasn't as well cooked down and I was losing a few toppings as I ate, but otherwise well-constructed. They also have a wide variety of sanchos, and while I'm still not sure the difference between the sancho and the burrito, the chunks of chile verde pork in my sancho were pretty tender and hot, though underseasoned. If you are one of the types of people that look for the most amount of loosely-defined Mexican food, you could do worse than Taco Pronto, though that list of places at which you could do worse is not very long. read more

WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Used to have good service. Last few times I went through the drive through I felt shunned for asking for extra sauce. I've offered to pay for it several times. Today was the last time. Went through drive through around 2:00 today. Food took forever. That's ok, I understand if under staffed. When he did not give me the extra sauce I politely asked for, I sat there and waited to get his attention. When I asked for 2, he gave me 1. I asked for another and he just "dropped" it in my hand like I was a pain in his A##. Got home with my deluxe Sancho and it was cold, no cheese melted on it. What did I do to piss off Taco Pronto? I went to Taco Pronto at 9:34pm on Tuesday December 6th. We pulled up to the window to order tacos, they then informed us that they were out of beef!! OUT OF BEEF! We were a little confused so we asked again just to clarify, and yes, a Mexican restaurant was out of Beef.. needless to say we will not be returning to the 21st St. Taco Pronto. Wow! This could possibly be the worst Mexican that I've had in Wichita. The only thing they seem to get right on the plate is that an enchilada is made from a corn tortilla. I had the chicken enchiladas and a taco pizza. Let's start with the processed cubed chicken. Not even seasoned and the sauce, which was supposed to be green sauce, was obviously a Rotel rip-off from the can red sauce. Couldn't even tell the rice from the beans. The taco pizza green olives not black and again that hellacious red sauce instead of the green sauce that I ordered. They were busy that's for sure so it must be an institution here in Wichita. But they need to come taste the Taco Casa down in Texas or something. It's not that great either but at least it has flavor. read more
