For some reason there are a ton of "taco" places in Wichita. Taco this, taco that, taco whatever. Also for some reason none of them taste the same. Taco Grande is a favorite of mine from way back. I actually used to work for one back in the day and I still love them when I get back to Wichita. It's fast food so you order at the counter, then they call your number to pick it up. But they've always been super good and super fresh. I love the double burrito and the taco burger but they also have these little baby taco burgers called bambinos that are so good! They're not super cheap like a lot of fast food places but they have this yummy seasoning that just makes them taste so good! When I was up here last time I had to make a Taco Grande run for a double burrito! Dang it was good but holy cow they fill those bad boys up! Maybe it's just nostalgia that makes this place taste so good....or the fact that I eat it only every few years but I definitely have to make it here for the yummy food! read more

I've always enjoyed taco grande since I was a kid. To me, it's one of the better fast food taco places around. Close second is taco shop for sure but I love the crunchy shell tacos and how they stuff them for sure. Nachos with beef, taco burger, and combo burritos are favorites for sure. read more

Been eating here since the 80's and I positively LOVE it! The Potato Grande is the best and I encourage everyone to give it a try!

I went through the drive thru, no answer so after a couple minutes, I drove around to the window. A couple more minutes of yelling for help, someone showed and was more concerned about the drive thru not ringing than taking my order. Once the second person showed up, again interested more in the drive thru bell then taking an order, I was finally noticed. After paying more than I would for a decent meal if I could have taken the time, I was given the most greasy , inedible pieces of garbage, which is exactly where the "food" ended up. Dam good food, a little pricey for sure but it's so good you have to go back. Service is always great at this location. Linda in Lawrence I did many late night runs to Taco Grande in Lawrence with roommates during the 1970s while attending KU. I was so sad when Taco Grande went out not just once but twice. My husband also loved Taco Grande during college and into the first years of our marriage. Taco Bell will sell you a taco salad and put the lettuce on the side. These people are rude and not accommodating.

I used to love this place but now they charge more and have gotten super cheap. I asked for extra mild sauce in my togo order and I got two very tiny little cups. John Wylie the deceased owner and operator would be ashamed of how bad taco grande's food has gotten. Ate there today. Or tried to. Meat so greasy and stale shells. Place was so dated just not the same. The help was very kind. But when I told them the food was really bad in comparison to what I had remembered, their response was that's the way the owners now make it. Cost are double Taco Bell and Taco Shop. If you remember the old Taco Grande then I would stay away. Not a good investment. Went right through me in 5 minutes after leaving. South Seneca store.
