Well, the crowds were no longer there and there was actually parking available immediately in front of the building. And the building looked like it had experienced some hard times. One man at the cash register taking orders. You could read the menu behind him posted on the wall. Very basic options and the interior seating was at 1950s style linoleum kitchen tables and chairs. Probably bought at a flea market. We were crushed. I had a combo platter of one crispy carnitas taco at $23. Ground beef. Very basic and lacked flavor. Outrageous for over $20. Wife had two enchiladas a la carte, cheese and green at $13. Mush. At least we have our memories and hope that someone will come along to resurrect it into at least something close to what was.

I eat it with tortilla chips, which are always hot and fresh. The salsa is quite spicy for me, so I dip them ever so slightly in the salsa so I don't totally burn my taste buds off!! The flavor of the salsa is wonderful, just a bit too spicy for me. I get a bottomless soda and they are usually really good about refilling it quickly. This is good because I drink a lot with my meals. The chimichanga is so large that every time I wonder if I can finish it or if I will have to take half of it home. But, each time I end up finishing it. I appreciated that they had a discount for the Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival participants, birding is hard work and we bird nerds need to fill our bellies!! However we all agreed that it tasted mainly of beans and rice, but very little meat which was disappointing. 2. Crispy tacos: 4/10 This was meh - the tacos were crispy but super small and very little meat per taco (was less than a teaspoon in all honesty). Definitely wouldn't recommend and I should have stuck with trying their soft-shelled tacos. Overall, it was a nice place to stop by, eat some Mexican food, and the price was decent.

I waited patiently because I like their menudo, but only to find out that even though he confirmed Menudo on the phone he not heard soup. The person in the kitchen misgendered me and not having my order ready. This not a great local place and not LGTBQ friendly. And neither employee bothered to apologize. I do not recommend!
