    3 Crispy Tacos

Amazing crispy chicken tacos, definitely among the top three best of SLO County. Really lovely people as well. Always one of my favorites to visit.

To-go order of three delicious crispy potato tacos $11.00 (I added cilantro)

Note: This review is strictly on their Crispy Potato Tacos, as that is all I have had from here. Not the most authentic Mexican food around, but man.....they make a mean crispy papa taco. That perfect balance of salty crunch on the outside and pillowy soft inside to satisfy all the cravings. Service was friendly and efficient. 10 minutes for a pick up order during a weekday lunch rush is impressive. Another awesome deal is that you can help yourself to their chips and salsa bar. In fact, the salsas here are all delicious and make a great addition to anything you order. Maybe next time I will try the carnitas.

First time trying them out. Customer service was excellent. Came out quick. My food was hot and plenty of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a late Saturday night, it wasn't super busy, it was quiet and just a few people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of food to go.

TACO TUESDAYYYS. Come in for either sit down or take out, tacos are served at $1.75 each on tuesdays. I came in wondering if they had any vegetarian options, and they did! I ordered 2 veggies and 2 fish tacos. At the time they were doing a deal so fish tacos were $2.50 each. I got one grilled and one fried, definitely came with a good sized fish inside. The veggie taco came with rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, and cheese. Honestly it was giving salad over a tortilla vibes but it was super filling and packed with fresh vegetables! Will be sure to come back again. TACO TUESDAY

Taco Roco is rapidly becoming my favorite Mexican spot. It's not exactly fast food, and it's not a full sit-down experience, but the food is terrific! Plus, there's a Pokemon Go gym in the parking lot, so you can play while you wait. They have two patios now, one in front and one in back, plus an extended dining area in the parking lot due to COVID. They don't appear to be social distancing, but I was impressed with their cleaning game. I saw at least four employees clearing tables, sweeping and mopping, and cleaning the bathroom, all in the half hour we were there. That was impressive. The cashier was friendly, and we ordered quickly. I had three hard shell beef tacos, and my wife ordered a bean & cheese burrito. Her burrito was huge; it was easily over a pound. She plastered it with salsa from the salsa bar, and her only comment was that the "medium" salsa was, in fact, "mild." Otherwise, she liked the burrito as prepared, and took home over half of it for lunch. My tacos were likewise a solid portion. Served on a small tray, they were loaded with beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The beef is finely shredded and juicy, and hot enough for the last bite to still be warm. I will be having these again soon! I do wish they had Diet Dr Pepper. I see that Taco Roco is a local chain, so I will look forward to trying another franchise soon!

I really enjoy the enchiladas at Taco Rico in SLO. The free chips and salsa bar for in-house dinning is an added bonus, and you can serve yourself. Always friendly service and large portions.

Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been very disappointing. There is a new cashier who has provided some of the worst customer service I've experienced there. She has been snarky, argumentative, and disrespectful on more than one occasion. During my most recent visit, I politely asked her to be more cordial and respectful, especially since we are regular customers, but instead of de-escalating the situation, she became even more argumentative. To make matters worse, "by coincidence," I found a very long black hair on my plate during that same visit. I obviously cannot say where it came from, but given everything that had just happened, it made the experience even more unpleasant. This honestly makes me sad because I live nearby and have been a frequent customer for a long time. I've always enjoyed coming here, but customer service matters just as much as the food. We come to have a nice meal and a pleasant experience--not to leave feeling uncomfortable or disrespected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because I would really like to be able to enjoy this place again.

The slaw bowls are reasonably priced and satisfying, the menu has a nice variety, and who I think is the owner is very friendly and welcoming and enthusiastic - like a guy that seems like would be fun to hang out with and talk about anything. It's upstairs and probably easy for some to miss as it's the only thing upstairs, but they post signs outside and inside near the stairs, and they've been here awhile, so it must be doing well. As you can see, the slaw bowl comes with a good amount of protein, a few chips, and a variety of ingredients to go on top of the slaw. I've had chicken in the past, which is also good. Just one piece of chewy meat this time, which happens. Flavor is very good and satisfying and the slaw keeps things feeling pretty light and healthy. I've had burritos in the past too, and those are more filling. There's ample seating area as well, with a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Self-serve drink taps for soda and to get water. Always enjoy coming here and I'm sure we'll eat here many more times in the future. I just need to venture out a bit and try more menu items.

The young man who took our order gave us a great explanation of how they prepare the salsa's and took us through the preparation of the meats and seafood items. This place is in the second floor of the SLO Public Market with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. We are definitely glad we tried this place.

I am a respectful person and I will always leave anywhere if asked to go. Why did the bouncer grab me and start shoving me out the door. He grabbed my INJURED arm. When I yelped, "ouch my arm is injured please let go, I am leaving." His response was "Don't fight back or I'll call the cops." Unacceptable. F*ck this place and the employees. I will NEVER be back and I will also discourage anyone from going by enlightening them on my AWFULLLLL experience. EDIT: What an unprofessional response, but not surprised after reading your responses to other patrons. Who the f*ck are you to tell me the extent of my injury?! Regardless of how big or small NOBODY would want their wound manhandled. There were people everywhere and I was walked towards the exit. You don't kick someone out of an establishment by grabbing and manhandling them. Your security just wants an excuse to put their hands on people and take advantage of their power. I did not shove multiple people so that claim is 100% false. Also never said I was an employee, nor would I ever want to work for you?? I shoved ONE person that shoulder checked me and threatened to beat me up for no reason. Show some professionalism in your responses to upset guests, it makes you look pathetic and childish.
