We love Taco Roos, a sister company of Cook-Out. It's a drive thru only location offering tacos, quesadillas, bowls, burgers, chicken strips and more. I noticed today that they now offer breakfast. Everything is always fresh, including hand breaded chicken tenders. The staff is always nice and helpful. I've tried several items from their colorful and affordable menu and have not been disappointed.

I think it's great to see another fast food option that has something different than just the typical burgers & sandwiches so I was excited to try this! Overall, I really did enjoy it. The cheese tortillas come with 2 which is pretty cheap and honestly I thought they were delicious. It's such a simple item but the cheese to tortilla ratio was perfect. The queso was really good & the chips had a nice seasoning on them. The fries were really good too, also with a good amount of seasoning. The fries were so good with the cilantro adobo sauce, which I highly recommend getting no matter what because it's one of my favorite sauces. I do think they could've given us more fries (we hadn't eaten any before taking the pic), but overall I liked everything! It's drive thru only so there's not much to review about the actual restaurant but the staff seemed nice & our order was correct/fresh. I'd go back again!

    Pineapple lemonade 10/10

My husband and I finally made it to try Taco Roos in Thomasville. One thing that kept us from going sooner what the incorrect hours listed on Yelp saying they were closed on Sundays. Turns out they are open every day. I submitted that edit so hopefully that will be corrected soon. Taco Roos has no dining room so be prepared to take your order home or do what we did and eat in your car. We wanted to try so many things. We ended up getting a beef taco, grilled chicken taco, bean and cheese burrito, chicken quesadillas and a Mexibowl. We rounded it out with a fresh pineapple lemonade. Both my husband and I thought the grilled chicken taco and the fried fish taco were the stars of the show. We loved the juicy flavorful chicken so much. We added a bit of their salsa verde and WOW was it spicy! I needed a minute to recover from it. Luckily we had our pineapple lemonade to help with that which I highly recommend. They are making all the lemonades fresh so definitely don't skip this when you visit. The fish taco was crispy and came with slaw, a slice of lime diced onions and some tartar sauce all on the side. The fried fish pieces could have been a bit bigger IMO but it was still tasty. The burrito was a sad little open ended thing that looked so flat like someone sat on it. It was just OK but you can skip this one and you won't be missing anything. The chicken quesadilla was bigger than I thought it was going to be. They pretty much use one size tortilla for all their food items. It looks like it's a soft taco/fajita size. The quesadilla is two of those with the chicken and cheese sandwiched between them. It comes uncut but we managed to eat it without too much mess. Lastly the Mexibowl. It was super filling and gave us a chance to try the Mexican rice they make fresh. It was super filling and I think that is really the best value. I'd like some chips with it next time to add a little texture. Don't forget to ask for the salsa you want. They won't put it in unless you ask. We went through the drive through twice in one night. The first time, we got a worker named Savannah. She wasn't very friendly at all. She was short with us and even when we tried to ask her a question she shut the window on us mid sentence. She also forgot to give us our drink we ordered so we had to go back through to get it. The second trip though(technically 3rd) we got Ellie. She was a bright ray of sunshine! In a world full of Savannah's be an Ellie.

Delish! Stopped in for a "quick snack" and the menu was too enticing. I have been looking forward to trying out this place for months and finally had the perfect opportunity. From joining the line (super crowded!) to food in hand, it only took about 15 minutes. For a new(er) place at 1 pm on a Sunday, this wasn't bad at all! For my order, I got a chicken quesadilla, cherry lemonade, and queso fries. The chicken quesadilla was nice and cheesy with a decent amount of chicken in it as well! The lemonade tasted more cran-grape than cherry but delicious nonetheless. I was a little bit confused when my fries came deconstructed, but then was quickly appeased when I realized I could dip them without losing half the cheese to the box! All in all, definitely a 10/10 experience and I'd like to return!

Not bad. Of course we can't help but compare the food and experience to Taco Bell, which would also typically earn three stars. The fried fish taco was the star, but a finer shredding of the cabbage and a little spicy ranch style of special sauce would be a nice touch. We will certainly give them another try.

La Carreta is a long term, tried and true option in Thomasville. I've been enjoying food here well…read moreover 20 years, and it's consistently good. With fresh choices, a large menu, generous portions, and reasonable pricing, you can't go wrong here. If you're dining in, the chips are fresh and the salsa tasty with just the right amount of spice. The cheese dip is always a winner. The guacamole is not my favorite in terms of consistency (too smooth) but it usually tastes good too. Today's visit was takeout. We got a Grande Burrito and a Burrito Paisa. They were both massive and lasted multiple meals over the week. I'm a huge fan of the Burrito Paisa with the spicy sauce, and it'll make you sweat! I will say it's annoying they add a forced gratuity for takeout orders (they've always charged a container fee, but now add the gratuity.) This isn't uncommon these days, but I still dislike it. I'd love to see the addition of online ordering to keep up with the era. But all told, a great consistent choice that never disappoints me.

We also got an appetizer of corn ribs because... that stuff is delicious. I appreciate the tea being brought in GIANT glasses, as I was never wanting for a refill. I don't see why more places don't do this, what an easy way to relieve your server of a common service pain point. There was also a birthday party while we were there, and let me tell you, the entire restaurant... lights, music, and all... shifts into party mode when it's time to sing that person a song. Pretty impressive. Anyway, back to the food. We did enjoy the corn ribs, but they were pretty messy and difficult to eat. I have seen some examples at other places where the kernels were easier to get at, or you could even eat the husk part because it was so thin. Also, we would have liked a little more, the ribs did not even really add up to a full large ear of corn. The fajitas for two were really good and a huge portion. Very tender meat and veggies. We would have liked to see more pineapple. The chunks were small and a little sparse on the skillet, so in the end, we didn't get much of that tropical flavor. In the end, it wasn't enough to deduct a star as we had an excellent overall experience. Thanks amigos!

We took an exit in Thomasville as yet another car accident was backing up traffic according to Google Maps. We like to eat local and as fate would have it we pulled into a random parking lot, and there stood El Camino Express. It's a small hole in the wall type of eatery with ample parking outside. You walk into a bright white decor with black lettering, food counter to your right and a long dining room ahead. All the decor highlighted that this restaurant supported the community and provided a local farm to table type of eats. We knew at this point we hit GOLD! They had several folks coming in and out for takeout food, but we were the only ones dining in. Looks like most interstate travelers are bypassing this gem! Anyway, we ordered ACP, Taco kids meal, and Chicken Tinga Birria Tacos. Everything was phenomenal! The Chicken Tinga Birria Tacos were not on the menu, but I asked if they could use Chicken instead of beef and they happily obliged. They were packed with a savory light spice flavor, and the dipping sauce made the dish even more epic. I've been raving about this place to my friends ever since that day. El Camino Express was the highlight of my 10 hour road trip and a welcomed bright spot that addressed my hanger issues lol. If you are driving through Thomasville, make it a point to visit this landmark without fail!

As soon as we entered the restaurant you felt the good vibes with the Spanish music being played in the background. We were greeted with a smile and taken right to a table. There were tortas, chimichangas, etc. When it came time to order the food I decided to go with the tacos. I ordered 1 taco de asada, 1 taco al pastor, and 1 taco de pollo asado. I also got a agua de jamaica (Hibiscus tea) it was also very good and refreshing. While my family and I waited for our food our server brought us chips and salsa which did not disappoint.
