I ordered Mikes vegan grill off of DoorDash and got the Colombian hot dog. It was delicious!!! The flavor profiles with the sauce, the pineapple, and the potato chips hit it right on the nail. It was packaged perfectly and I would definitely like to try other menu items. I love vegan comfort food! Definitely recommend all vegan lovers to get their vegan comfort food from Mikes!

I loveeeee this taco salad. 10/10 -- the steak taste like steak, ingredients fresh as hell. Yum!

Vegan Mike is in the top 3% of all vegan restaurants I've had across 5 continents. In my opinion, they are worth more stars than I can assess in terms of taste quality. They serve primarily bar style and fast foods, but with soy-based protein. Although the food is very expensive (ranging from $16-$17), the portion sizes are very generous, and it is well worth every penny. For our meals, we had The Tacos, Chorizo Crunch Wrap, and Chik'n Loko. The Tacos are a set of four with four options, in which they normally split the tacos at a maximum of 2 flavors; however, the server was so kind to make an exception and give us one of each: shrimp, steak, chorizo, and chicken. I did not try the steak; however, you cannot go wrong with any of those options! The Chorizo Crunch Wrap is a vegan powerhouse and was really hard to distinguish whether it was plant-based. The Chorizo Crunch Wrap was the best by a long shot. All of our options seemed to be seasoned to perfection. Also, if you're a person that has a sweet tooth, they also have plenty of desserts such as cookies amongst other items upon request. This place was not really busy. It has a really chill vibe with Spanish acoustics on the speakers and a few TVs for entertainment. I can definitely see this place jumping on a mid-summer day. I will definitely be making a trip here every time I visit Greensboro because this place is a hidden gem.

Mike's always tastes great, friendly service. Had a hot dog today, my vegetarian daughter had a shrimp quesadilla. Ate it too fast to take pictures. The cheese steak here is my favorite cheese steak anywhere, and I am not a vegetarian. The restaurant vibe is open and vibrant. Great decor.

I have been here a few times as my parents are vegan and it is always a hit! The vibes are so fun with all the games and cool decor. The only thing was the same 5 or 6 songs played over and over and over, so that got a little stale but otherwise it is such a cool joint. The employees are always upbeat and so so kind! They truly seem to enjoy their job and the people who come in! The food is so good, as someone who isnt vegan I can appreciate a place that strives for really delicious food that can serve both vegan and non vegan. This time around I got one of their hot dogs and it was soooo good. Perfectly mimicked a hot dog. The fries were crisp, although I will say the portion size on those was disappointing. But otherwise a great time!

So picture this: it's my lunch break, I'm hungry-hungry, but also trying to give my body a break from meat (my stomach was probably cheering). I stroll into Mike's Vegan Grill, not 100% vegan myself, but I dabble. Yes, it's a little on the pricey side... but when they slid me TWO "chicken" patties on my sandwich, I forgave them instantly. That vegan protein was hitting. The fries? Hot, fresh, and gone in 2.5 seconds. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade--forgot all about it in my rush, but the staff literally chased me down in the parking lot to hand it to me. MVP move. The vibes? Chill. Spacious, not crowded, a little music, and I even got some nice flower-wall photos to prove I "eat clean." Didn't dine in fully, but they've got a cozy side area that worked just fine. All in all: great quality food, thoughtful service, and a go-to spot I'd proudly drag my vegan brother from Philly to. If you're looking for comfort vegan food with real flavor (and bonus staff cardio when you forget your drink), this is it.

This place is freaking incredible - wish it was closer as I would be in here far too often. The taco 4 pack - try all types in one pack - so good. Philly cheesesteak sandwich, awesome ! Wish I was closer, love this comfort food find with a conscience.

I loved the huge menu of options and it was delicious. The service was great and it was a quirky little spot. It looked like a remodeled Wendy's on the outside but the inside was pretty cozy and had fun neons. You could easily enjoy that menu for about a week without trying the same thing twice.

I'd been stalking this place online for a while and was excited to finally get to Greensboro and give it a try. Quick service. Flavorful dishes. Reasonable prices. Easy parking. If you're in the mood for vegan junk food, this is your spot!

Really good find! It's got a nice vibe and look inside and everything tasted good. I'm not vegan, but my partner is vegetarian and they wanted a place where they had plenty of choices, so we came here. I had the "shrimp" tacos, and they had the BBQ chicken sandwich. Food was prepared fresh, and we had a great meal

I love that I cannot remember what this restaurant used to be because Mike's Vegan Grill is in the perfect location. There is a very welcoming ambiance when you enter, with Good Vibe signs and pleasant music playing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and given enough time to look everything over prior to ordering. And when you're there, you'll notice that you cannot smell the food. Like there's no overpowering grease smell or fried food smell, it's just a clean atmosphere. I will preface my review by saying that I am absolutely not vegan, I'm not vegetarian, I just wanted a cleaner eating option this day. I ordered the Carolina Burger, the Philly Cheesesteak Rolls and a side of fries and it only took about 10 minutes to get my food. I had to eat on the go but if anybody saw me, in my car, eating this burger, you'd think I'd be embarrassed by the way I was eating. With the ample chili and coleslaw topping, this burger was big and filling. Whatever the special sauce was on that burger, I could drink it. I knew it wasn't meat, you can tell it's vegan, but there was no meat missed in this dish at all. The fries tasted clean and less processed, with good seasoning on them. The Philly cheesesteak rolls were the best, that would've been the less messy dish to eat on the go. The dish came with 3, long, fried-filled egg rolls and a side of dipping sauce. They were cheesy, filling Philly rolls, that would rival some of the non-vegan options in the area. I will definitely be back, I hear their chick'n sandwich is worth another visit!

First, the atmosphere of this place was very refreshing! It's so cute and welcoming. A great place to eat - I did takeout. I got the shrimp po boy and fries and it tasted amazing. I've been wanting a po boy forever and it's the main thing I miss when I became a vegetarian. This got my fix in without a doubt. The fries were good and not severely greasy. Most restaurants overly grease vegetarian food at times and these are seasoned to perfection. The soft serve was my fav. They use oat milk and it was great to enjoy soft serve without it hurting my stomach. Now, the mango lemonade was EVERYTHING , it was the highlight. The customer service was also exceptional. Chris and Ric were personable, took my order quickly and made my food quickly as well. A hidden gem in Greensboro that is on my list now!

Mike's was great! We got buffalo wings (some of the best I've had -- your regular soy drumsticks we know and love, but breaded for an extra crispy touch). The sauce was great and I'd like to try their other flavors next. We also got a buoy honey pepperoni pizza and wow - the pepperoni was very realistic and the hot "honey" added a nice touch. The crust was a bit more like a frozen pizza but still no complaints here. I highly recommend stopping in!! It's on a commercial strip, so not the cutest area, but the building stands out with its a-frame build and bright green paint. You can tell they put a lot of time and thought into the curb appeal and it looks great. Also clean and bright inside. It seemed slow at 7pm the Saturday before Christmas, but maybe they mainly do takeout? We did get takeout. It was ready exactly when we requested for it to be and staff was nice. We were bummed to hear the bathroom was out of order since we were on a 5 hour drive, but things happen!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I tried a dish that I had never had before, as well as naan. (Because of course. How do you not get naan?) I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

By the time I left around 6, there were people standing and waiting to be seated. The patio was open with one couple enjoying the nice weather and relative quiet of outdoors. Embur recently relocated to Smyres Place in Greensboro and the new space feels much smaller than I expected. The design reminded me of what I imagine a modern restaurant in Peru might look like. Industrial with solid wood floors, warm finishes, and a large wine display. There are around 25 to 26 tables, mostly two tops and four tops. The largest table seats six, but they will push tables together for larger groups. While I was there, a group of more than 20 came in celebrating something and they were seated quickly without disrupting the rest of the room. The small patio has outdoor seating with about 8 tables and a they have bar area with about nine comfortable seats. The menu took me a minute to understand but I ended up liking the setup. You choose your entrée, which comes with set ingredients, and then choose your protein. Each protein has a different price, so you can control the cost of your meal somewhat. Most menu items can also be made gluten free according to the menu, and vegetarian options seem easy to do. For my appetizer, I ordered the flatbread. Perfection. Rosemary, olive oil, sea salt. Crispy outside, soft inside, and so flavorful I almost ate the whole thing before my meal was served. The server came with water right away and remain attentive but not intrusive the whole time. For my entree, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with salmon. Arroz Chaufa literally means fried rice. At first the dish seemed a bit salty to me, but once I added the green sauce that comes with it (served on the side), everything balanced out. The green sauce has very mild heat, so if you are not a fan of spicy food, that is the one I would recommend. There is a list of sauces so I assume you can customize your entree. According to my server, the other sauces bring more heat. The salmon was excellent, well seasoned but not too much, and moist. The portion was ample. I was very hungry but I had leftovers to bring home. Service was exactly what I want when dining alone. Attentive without being intrusive. I watched Netflix while I ate and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed or bothered. The noise level is average for a busy small restaurant. Comfortable enough to relax, but if you want to talk to someone in your group a couple of seats away, you will need your outside voice. This place feels upscale without being fussy, so expected to pay more than average, but I thought it was good value for the quality and portions. I loved this restaurant and will absolutely go back. Must order: Rosemary flatbread appetizer. Tip: Ask about sauce heat before ordering. If you do not like spicy food, start with the green sauce.

After looking at the menus for a few places, Shukkranaa seemed worth a gamble. The menu boasts everything you'd expect (curries, biryanis, breads, plenty of vegetarian dishes), and under other circumstances, I'd be all over the chicken 65. However, I wanted to give one of their quick lunch specials a try. Available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, the offerings change daily, but they include an appetizer, two curries, salad, rice, bread, and a dessert. At $13 veg/$15 non-veg, that seemed like a good deal for the money. I placed an online order for that day's vegetarian special (paneer kadhai and daal makhani), and it was ready when I arrived. Though Shukkranaa's location (a strip mall near a motel up 68) screams "nondescript," the interior seemed more inviting, and the gentleman at the register was polite. After a short drive home, I was able to enjoy a better-than-expected lunch. It came largely as advertised with a pakora as the appetizer, naan as the bread, and a piece of galub jamun as the dessert (though the "salad" was just a few assorted vegetables). The rice was fragrant, the sauces creamy, the portion size more than respectable, and to my relief, Shukkranaa does NOT hold back on flavor. I don't know if the dine-in experience would be as impressive, and there are certainly other Indian eateries to choose from in the immediate area, but for tasty, convenient takeout, count Shuukranaa as a name to remember.

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection.
