Grabbed a carnitas burrito to go last summer and enjoyed it. Nothing fancy though the meat was plentiful and the cheese added a bit of umami. Filling for its size though I missed a bit of veggies. They offer vegetarian options and also do catering. This restaurant is a stand inside the Ruston Waterfront Market, featuring an array of Mexican favorites--tacos, burritos, chilaquiles, nachos, elotes, quesadillas and churros. They also offer a variety of agua flavors--fresca, limón, melón, mango, piña, jamaica, tamarind, pepino, and horchata. Order at the counter and eat at one of the tables in the shared eating area. Bathrooms are also shared with the rest of the market. Plenty of parking outside in the lot directly outside. On a Friday afternoon around 2pm it wasn't very busy, maybe a handful of tables and an on-and-off stream of customers.

The taco meat itself could use some more marinating and seasoning but the salsa bar is AMAZING!!! Maybe I'm easy to please coming from Seattle where they nickel and dime you for everything but I was so surprised by the generous open bar of pickled onions, limes, and salsa. The avocado salsa was SOOO GOOD that I was literally taking shots of it by its own. It went SO WELL with the al pastor tacos and their combo lunch deal is a great value! This place is kind of tucked in by the market building and it is kind of difficult to get to unless you've directly parked in front of the market and not the garage for Point Ruston. I ended up getting two al pastor tacos which filled me up but the avocado salsa was so good that I wished I got more tacos so that I could spread it over everything haha.

The customer service was as expected. We've been here while busy and not busy. Both times the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I didn't order tacos but I like to see the option to order single tacos on the menu. Not the best price wise but we left satisfied with the flavors. Great seating area and have not yet had any issues finding a place to sit. We ordered: Carne asada fries 4/5 Good flavors. Regular nachos 4/5 Wish there was a little more cheese. Good flavors. Has a lot of onions so I'd that's not your cup of tea you won't like it. Horchata 5/5 As expected.

We really make it a priority to go to Taco Street whenever we are going to be in Ruston. We love the freshly made food, salsas, agua frescas, etc. You order at the counter and pick up your own food and find your own table but there is usually seating open inside or outside. They serve beers which is nice to go with your food and their agua fresca and horchatas are so refreshing and flavorful. They have a great condiment bar and their orange salsa is my favorite ever! This food is not cheap so expect to spend $40+ on the items in the review. We recommend this place next time you're at Point Ruston!

Authentic and full of flavor! My friend and I were walking around Point Ruston and were debating between pizza and tacos. I am glad our stomachs led us to tacos. I ordered the combination plate of tacos al pastor with a side of rice and beans that also comes with a drink. The tacos already come with onion and cilantro (green flag). They have a great salsa bar with four salsas varying from green to red, pickled jalapeños and onions, cucumber, and limes. Lots of indoor seating with a lot of space. The staff were inviting and prompt with taking our order, and the food came out hot and fresh. Great tasting food for a great price.

This is our go-to place for Tacoma Taco Tuesday. Dining in or taking to-go are both great options. If you dine in during colder months, bring a jacket. The dining area can get drafty! They have added some ceiling heaters that take the edge off. The non-alcoholic agua frescas are impressive and amazing. My favorite taco is the California- always a sucker for fresh avocado. Definitely try their salsas and pickled onion/jalapeño bar!

Stopped in to the Ruston Point Market and visited Taco street for lunch. It was a great lunch. We had one taco combo, carne asada tacos (4) , rice and beans. Added some chips and queso, and an al pastor taco. The chips and queso were best I have had and the tacos were delicious. The Al pastor had great flavor and the pineapple was just what I needed today. I am sure I will be back for burrito and torta next time.

We stopped by for a quick bite before our road trip to Forks. I am glad my son and daughter-in-law brought us here to try a taco plate and I really like it! We will definitely come back again and try other menus. The service was friendly.

Out of all the Mexican Food places I've been to, I am thoroughly impressed with Taco Street! We had to stand in line for a while but after eating I could see why! Their ingredients were so fresh and the salsa bar in the dining area was icing on the cake! The food menu was big enough to have options but small enough that you won't be overwhelmed with options (burritos are well worth it!). The drink menu was very authentic and had enough variety for everyone. NOTE: this menu rotates! We looked at the menus here on Yelp but some were outdated.. however the bartender was kind enough to make them anyways! If you need some quick, delicious Mexican food, Taco Street is the place to go! Plus it's close to everything in Point Ruston

I have left a review before but no pics!!! This food is beyond an orgasm in my mouth!!! It is the right mix of every ingredient from the queso to quac to tacos. The veggie bar is excellent. There is a small line but really no wait! The food comes out of the kitchen hot and ready for a mouth!!! Also I saw the lady mix up the queso from scratch as I stood and waited!! The people are super friendly!!! The dining area is clean the is always full but I have always found sitting. They have the timing perfect for the flow of their space!!!

The special! Street tacos, and my son had the chicken quesadilla.

Food was fantastic!! Outdoor eating, or inside is available. My son and I had a great lunch here and we were pleasantly pleased! Service at the counter was great, they hand you a remote buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. The outside swing is cool too.

I'm from the south and have not found a Mexican place that had good Mexican food where I would come back. But, Taco street is absolutely amazing, their street tacos are delicious and the elote. My mom came to visit and I took her here, she said every time she visits she would come here to eat. And she gets Mexican food all the time down south. The place is super cute and decorated nice, it brings me back to my roots!

Best street tacos in the area! We had carnitas and carne asada taco specials with rice and beans. Would definitely eat here again.

But in the last few weeks we have gone passed it they aren't open and there is a sign on the door saying they are closed for seep cleaning. I never owned a restaurant and neither do I know how long a deep cleaning could take. I suppose it varies depending on what is being cleaned. But as of 5/9/26 the restaurant remains closed. The last social media post from Facebook was January of '26. The website associated with this profile on Yelp doesn't seem to be working and neither does the website associated when you Google them which is very concerning. So, I parked - I found a street parking around the corner. It's a small establishment with an ADA bathroom. You can go and order with the staff, or you can order with a kiosk. I happened to do both! I asked the server who told me later that he was the cousin of the owner and el Salvadoran, what he would recommend. I ended up getting Combo 2 which is two tacos and a pupusa (which I've never had). Both I got pork and pupusa he said to get pork and cheese. I liked it ALL. Although the puousa is made of corn and tasty, I prob wouldnt order it again. I really, really liked the two tacos. The seasoning and taste was delicious!!! I am craving it right now as I am writing this review. They gave me condiments - 3 different hot sauces which I liked the avocado one which was a great creamy sauce. And there 3 pieces of lime and cut radishes. Plus, there were pickled onions which was tasty! I asked a lot of questions because I wanted to eat them all the way he would so The server told me to put the pickled onions on the pupusa. Oh, that made a huge difference. So delicious!!! Next time, I am just going to get 4 tacos - yep 4! lol and may try a burrito just to see how that is. I ended up getting a Jarrisco with Tamarind flavor. Oh it was a sweet and perfect complimentary drink. I will def be back! Really enjoyed it.

In fact I didn't like any of the salsas they offered, the green salsa was the only decent one and I'm sure the orange looking salsa was on its way out, it tasted and smelled funky. Customer service was great. We might come back just for asada tacos but maybe not.
