What a nice little Mexican restaurant that is hidden in this little corner of Tacoma. Not often you find a place that has great beer and great coffee and great Mexican food. That is three greats, I know I just said that. But this little hole in the wall place provided great atmosphere cozy area to be able talk very easily to my sister and experience an amazing lunch. You do order at the cashier/order taker and then they give you a number and when your food comes out, you get the food delivered to the table with the number. When you are done, you have to buss your own table and do all that stuff besides wiping off your table. I was craving a breakfast burrito on my way to work. Looked for a good option from Gig Harbor to Renton. To think I almost settled for some premade coffee shop microwaved brk burrito I got the carne asada BK Burrito... with the habanero carrot hot sauce Pure heaven. The meat is tender and ZERO gristle which is almost impossible lately anywhere u go. Then I indulged and got churros. Nor disappointed but pleasantly surprised- not greasy or dry but so so perfect. This spot never lets me down. It's become my old stand by over the years. The interior is a large counter service bar with outdoor season and a big garage style door that opens when the weather is nice. The food is sort of Tex mex and is reasonably priced. Drinks are a bit on the pricey end but they have an extensive tap list which includes a lot of local ciders. The thing I recommend here is actually the sauces, because I haven't ordered anything I haven't liked. The habenero carrot salsa, avocado crema, and tapatio ailoi are all amazing sauces and I would come here just to buy those even if I didn't like the food (which I do) This is a great hang out spot and is also good for solo dinners. It's not upscale so not really a date night venue but it is a good spot if you wanted a quick bite and a drink before heading out for the night, or a great spot to hang out with friends. Brewers Row is one of my favorite eateries in Tacoma! They're convenient located a few blocks away from Proctor on a quiet street. The food is incredible with options for everyone. I love the breakfast burritos and the fact that they're served all day! My go to is the papas dulce & kale burrito with the avocado crème. The sauces are to die for. I also love the tortilla salad bowels and you can't go wrong with the home made churros. Not only is the food great, but they also have an amazing coffee and beer selection. It was pretty good My hubby and I went for breakfast burritos before shopping at the Proctor farmers market. I was super excited to try the chile verde breakfast burrito, but I honestly think they forgot the verde. It was eggs and chorizo, but the chorizo was SO greasy that I had a pool of grease on my small plate that spilled over onto the table. The flavor was okay. I used all of our napkins for the grease. I really wanted the chile verde and next time will see if I can get eggs with the Chile verde salsa. I don't recommend the chorizo. Not only was it greasy, but pretty flavorless. Ive been here several times and the food and service is always top notch. It can be a bit noisy in there when busy but its not terrible. It can also be really quiet some nights. I do moss the covid nights where it was quieter but now that it's beautiful and summer everyone is out. Love the outdoor seating and the open window barstools you can sot at. Wanted to go to the market recently which means going out to bunch/lunch and making a little trip of it. I sent my parental unit the menus of several local restaurants and this one seemed to the be favourite. We got to the market little later than preferred, 9ish and decided to get breakfast first. Walked in and was kinda really surprised how few people there were. At this point we're at about 9:30 on a Saturday and there are only 2 tables taken? Interesting. Very nice tap selection with all the options, you're basically guaranteed to find something that'll make you happy! I went with the roasted cauliflower taco special (with added rice & beans), which sounded amazing!! My dad went with some sort of bacon burrito. My plate? Rice and beans were cold!!! The tacos were hot and definitely freshly roasted, but were kinda really hard to eat due to the size of the cauliflower. The cold sides though really chapped me and just made the whole meal MEH. When I asked my dad how his burrito made him feel he shrugged...which is something I very rarely see him do and it definite code for "this is cold and I hate this." He didn't finish it. While waiting for our food I looked up the place next door, which is I think is owned by the same people? Either way, I walked by the window and they were VERY busy. Cool place with solid food. This place was on my radar and for some reason fell off my radar. I dont recall why it fell off my radar, but I am glad I finally tried it. We split the nachos and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. The soup was very nice, I have a love of corn and/or zucchini in my tortilla soup, but I doubt that is very traditional. I would still highly recommend. The nachos killed it. I have always been fond of the real cheese nachos over cheese sauce. These are legit. The chicken was stupid good too. Also the Habernaro carrot salsa was ridiculous. Great sweet from the carrot and really nice heat at the end. I would recommend that as well. Overall had a solid experience. We love brewers row and have been here quite a few times. My husband always, and I mean always, gets the SOB biscuits and gravy. It comes with jalapeño cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy. He has, one time, gotten the biscuits as a sandwich and loved that as well. I default to the breakfast burritos. Their cafe con leche is also really good. I I like that they have small quesadillas for our little one. It is also nice that they have a variety of seating options ranging from regular tables to a large one for groups. I can highly recommend this place to my friends and family and anyone out there who is looking for a little place to go have coffee they have a full espresso machine set up so you can have your favorite coffee drink. They make wonderful breakfast burritos! Great prices! Happy hours 2-5pm daily. That means they have beer, wine and tacos. The choices are endless. My favorite is the vanilla chai tea latte! Their tortilla soup is to die for, my favorite though I'd have to say it's just the atmosphere and how kind everyone is I highly recommend visiting this place. Heard from a few friends that used to live in Tacoma that this place had bomb breakfast burritos (especially el pastor) so naturally it was our Monday adventure. We ordered a carne asada breakfast taquito, el pastor breakfast burrito, and a bacon ched-jalla biscuit to split. Can you tell we love breakfast?! For each, we got the avocado crema. Huz: "Fantastic Latin twist on traditional breakfast flavors." The avocado crema is worth the trip alone. Only qualms are that the taquitos are not fried and are small for the price, but still delicious. And, the carne asada lacks flavor. Extra bonus, try one of their phenomenal breakfast scones. I ordered the Street Corn tostada and a cheddar jalapeño biscuit ( to take with) and a small order of chips and guacamole. Husband raved about quesadilla. I've been up in Tacoma for the last 6 years and brewers has always been a go to spot! Super fun environment whether you're watching a game inside or sitting outside at the bar.
