    Truck

ONE OF THE BEST TACO TRUCKS IN SAN DIEGO! I know stating this is fighting words, as everyone will defend their taco truck and burrito spots, but truly this is probably the best taco truck I have been to. I randomly saw an instragram post that they were going to be in my area the other night, so my wife and I took took the kids to get some tacos. They have a pretty big menu which I appreciated, but also struggled with because there were too many good choices to make a decision between. Tacos we ordered: - Adobada taco. This was both mine and my wife's favorite taco - the I mean is there really anything better than adobada? 12/10 - Shrimp - it was deep fried shrimp. really good, would ask for extra sauce next time, 9/10 - Carnitas - really good, 10/10 - Smoked Marlin - was pretty good, maybe 6.5/10 - Nopales (cactus) - also pretty good, maybe 6.5 as well we also got a chicken and cheese quesadilla, our 3 year old ate the whole thing Overall I was really impressed with this truck. The adobada and carnitas were outstanding. next time we go I will get their other tacos and rate them. I wish their red salsa was better... tasted exactly like tapatio However their green salsa was really good, which I used on all my tacos.

    Trio with Rice & Beans

I ran into this great Food Truck at the Burning Beard Brewery in El Cajon. Dinner was in order so I had the three taco plate with rice and beans for $10. I choose chicken, carnitas, and adobaba taco for my trio. All three tacos were pretty good. My favorite was the adobada given the pork meat was tender and the adobada marinade was quite tasty. As in all three, the corn tortilla were very good and I liked that they had some girth and a flavorful natural yellow corn flavor. The carnitas were flavorful but they were a little on the dry side but as a whole the taco was quite good, especially with the addition of the green salsa. The chicken taco was good but nor my favorite. The chicken meat had a light flavor, but the rest of the taco tasted great. I don't think they charbroiled or grilled the chicken, but I could be mistaken. I could not see the grilling physically nor in the chicken's flavor, i.e., smokiness and char flavor. Anyways, in the end they were good tacos. Their beans were excellent and sported a great robust flavor and spot on seasoning. I loved the addition of the finely grated Cotija cheese on top of the beans. It is always a nice touch. I thought the rice was okay. It still had a bit to much moisture in it which prevented that fluffiness. Its flavor was simple and light but good. This is definitely a great food truck to hook up with.

Birria, barbacoa, smoked fish tacos with rice and beans

I had them when they catered a wedding I attended. The beans are to die for! The tortilla? Bomb.com. I had the smoked fish, birria, and barbacoa. All had TONS of flavor. The salsas were spicy and fresh. They provided the perfect acidity. I definitely recommend them.

I had Taco Tuesday truck for my birthday party. Everyone loved authentic tacos that were freshly prepared from scratches. Very reliable and friendly service! I had about 30 guests which was a minimum number of guest to have their service at my back yard. My favorite was a fish taco. My daughter loved the quesadilla! Thank you Alfonso!

Carnitas and Marlin tacos with rice/beans

I had the privilege of trying Taco Tuesday's tacos at an event and they are by far the best tacos I've had--like my mothers and from Mexico. I had carnitas which were rich in flavor, and Marlin which had the smokey taste of a real authentic smoked Marlin. The tortillas were delicious and sturdy for the generous amount of meat added. By far, the best tacos in San Diego. I highly recommend trying Taco Tuesday!

Taco Tuesday catered our backyard wedding. The tacos were a huge hit with so many great options to please everyone! Alfonso and his team were so wonderful to work with. They made coordinating with them very easy and when they showed up they went beyond our expectations. Such a friendly team that really added great spirit to our celebration. We did not make it easy for them to park in our driveway, but they were so easy going and willing to make it work. I am so grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to wow their guests!

We've seen the Taco Tuesday food truck at Burning Beard Brewing on a number of occasions and have been Jonesing to give them a try. On Sunday we decided it was finally time. We checked the Burning Beard calendar and sure enough, Taco Tuesday on Sunday! We cruised over and grabbed out seats at the bar, ordered a couple of beers and made a beeline for the truck. Becky had the two taco special. One carnitas, one pork adobada with rice and beans ($7). I had the three fish tacos with rice and beans combo ($7.50). Bex loved the carnitas, so much in fact that I didn't get any of it! She loved the adobada too, but not as much as she did the carnitas. She gave some of the adobada to me. It was excellent. Tender, juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The fish tacos were bomb! Taco Tuesday uses homemade tortillas and the taste is so much better than that of the store bought variety. A good thick tortilla with a delicious corn flavor and excellent chew. The fish were generous portions breaded and expertly fried. The white sauce was outstanding. Easily some of the best fish tacos I've had. The rice was light and fluffy and full of flavor and the beans...wow! The beans were absolutely lard-o-licious! Washed down with a couple of Burning Beard beers, the perfect pairing! The service was friendly and fast. A fantastic lunch! Easy 5-stars!

I felt like there was too much salt in the rice and beans and also the meat. Great customer service though.

There were a couple of groups dining in and someone picking up a to-go order, but there was still plenty of seating available. The employee working the counter was friendly. They also serve alcohol, and during my visit drinks were 20% off. Options included Pacifico, Modelo, Blue Moon, hard seltzers, and a selection of canned craft beers. I ordered: * Mahi Mahi Taco: the fish tasted fresh, and I liked the crispy onions on top. There was quite a bit of sauce, which made it pretty messy to eat. While the fish was good, it felt like a very heavy taco overall. * Surf & Turf Taco: this was loaded with steak and topped with two flavorful shrimp. The shrimp had an amazing flavor, and this taco was much more enjoyable and balanced. Overall, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the protein quality was excellent. My only critique is that the tacos felt a little overdone with toppings and sauces when the quality of the protein could easily stand on its own. Still, it's a solid spot for an affordable late-night bite. One thing to note: there are no restrooms available inside the restaurant.

They had the buy 2 get 1 free deal which pushed me to try new meats since I always stick to adobada. ADOBADA HANDS DOWN FIREEE! I love me a good al pastor taco and they make it just right. Super flavorful, juicy and packed w/ meat. I'm always hesitant to try asada because I haven't found a good spot here in SD, but this one was bomb! The meat had great flavor, a smokey taste and was loaded with guac. I'd order one again. The lengua was perfect too, super tender and fell apart just right. They don't skimp on the meats either. Most of the salsas were tasty and had great flavor and the habanero had the perfect kick ! I heard of this spot because my friend had them cater her baby shower and I had to come try the actual spot. Def brought the same energy. Inside is nice and has a good vibe, love all the decor. Service was super sweet! Horchata was bomb too, not to sweet and they said it's homemade! This was my first time trying a taco Vampiro style (crunchy and cheesy), it was great. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The location of the menu vs the counter didn't work well - you couldn't see the menu when ordering so everyone had to keep looking back and forth just to place each order (they need to fix the signage or layout). Service was super fast. It came with a small plate of cucumbers, radishes, and limes. They also dropped off 2 salsa bottles - a super spicy habanero salsa, and a medium spicy salsa verde. They had plenty of seating inside or outside on picnic tables. I sat outside to enjoy the weather and smell the carne asada being cooked on wood fired grill. Side note / tree hugger comment: They were a little wasteful with the plates... each taco came in its own separate basic.
