Pros- they allowed our dog inside (as long as he remained in his stroller, not a problem- he's 18!) they have a salsa bar, so you can help yourself to whichever salsa or salsas you prefer. Cons- I ordered our burrito with "light beans," and we received the opposite- it was mostly beans!! We paid the $1 for the side of chips. It's a small side, I counted, 15 chips in total. I had asked for more, but the lady who helped us said it would be another $1, for a similar amount- we elected not to do that. My husband tried to return the burrito, but then changed his mind since he was hungry and ate it. I opted to order a burger from Burger Bros, in the same complex. My burger was way better than the burrito! We won't be coming back.

I ended up relying on multiple rounds of tomatillo hot sauce (also not vary flavorful) to boost the flavor. Orange oil eventually starts dripping out of the tortilla, which I couldn't decide was a positive badge of authenticity or unneeded lubricant for a later trip to the toilet. At around $10 in South Tahoe, it's satisfying and a decent value even when charged for the cup for water. I'd come back (likely try other menu items.) But it's not a 5-star spot unless you're heavily weighting the family-run, trailer-based charm over the food itself. If "authentic" to you means mild flavor and oil dripping, it fits. Find a table and they will bring you the food. They offer soups and salads, some appetizers, and Sandwiches. But they specialize in Empanadas. You can choose your fillings of meat or veggies. One empanada was good enough for me for some you might want two (for a meal). I love the sauces they serve as well, my personal favorite was the Chimichurri (which consisted of Fresh Chopped Parsley, Olive Oil, White Vinegar, Lemon Juice, Garlic, and Lots of Spices). I loved it! Last but not least they are not stingy with the fillings of the Empanadas. I had the ground beef, it was so juicy and hot (temp wise). Oh, the Empanadas are so cute, they put the Eid own little stamp on it. And each one is labeled with the type of protein you ordered (see photos). In this cafe, you can play board games while you wait for your food. They even have books and toys and all kinds of things to entertain yourself with.
