Limited menu options but our group really enjoyed the dishes we ordered! Stopped here before the drive back home and it was filling, yummy, and worth the visit! The ambience was very nice. We wish we had a chance to eat outside but it was raining on and off so we decided to sit inside. Service was not super attentive, but the food came out in a timely manner. There's also restrooms outside the restaurant and downstairs, which made it convenient. The hotel also seemed really beautiful to stay at!

I managed to make a reservation on OpenTable prior to coming over on the day of! The quality of the food is pretty good- the food itself was a tad slow to come out, so I wouldn't recommend coming if you're in a rush. Prices are on the higher side. My boyfriend and I ordered the Maggie's Classic with scrambled eggs and the Short Rib Beni. The Maggie's Classic was your standard fare American meal, I thought it was pretty filling and gave me the energy I needed for our afternoon hike. The Short Rib Beni was also good! Our server topped up my boyfriend's black coffee for free. The tip is a bit extravagant- it starts at 20% and goes up to 30%. Even by my Bay Area standards, this is a bit demanding for brunch.

Honestly my favorite dish was the French toast, wow it was amazing! Service was ok, the waitress was more glued onto the screen watching the world cup but im sure if it wasn't the world cup service would be a bit better so will not lower my stars as overall experience was good. We just had to wait for our check to pay while they all watch FIFA which I understand not very often the world cup is being played , one waitress hid behind the glass when flagged down to get the check so we can pay and leave. Nice open location, not busy when we went on a sunday for brunch. My 5 stars remained because of that French toast my goodness, left me speechless so to the chef that made that shit hats off to you!

Traveling from the bayarea, we decided to stop by and try this restaurant. We were glad we did, we arrived just on time becaise we noticed a line starting to pile up. The interior had a nice contemporary design to match their rustic approach of their food. The food seemed amd tasted like a farm-to-table fresh. Highly recommend this place!

This place was super cute, love the vibe... and the history! The food was meh. I got the breakfast plate and my daughter got the yogurt parfait. Mine was good... the potatoes were super yummy just a little too salty... the homemade sausage was good.. you could tell the yogurt parfait was premade, the granola was soggy which made the yogurt super thick ... for a small place things like this shouldn't be premade I feel...Definitely overpriced. Service was fine.... Would I eat here again, probably not. But that's not to say it was terrible.

Wow! What a hidden gem in SLT! We were excited to try this " new to us" restaurant. The venue is on the smaller side-but they also offer outdoor seating with heaters. There is a small 4 person bar counter as well. We were very impressed with Chefs creations and the homemade pasta. We dined in the Halibut and the Salmon-both were amazingly flavorful. 10/10

Great food and service!! Loved that they had a doggy menu so that our furry friend could be included during breakfast

Came here for a quick pit stop for breakfast! There was minimal parking on the side of the restaurant and minimal seating inside! Luckily we were sat within 10 minutes but it does get quite busy! The service was kind, fast, & attentive! The ambiance was medium to loud noise level. There were small tables no more than 4 people sat at a time! The salmon was wonderful and tasted fresh! Great portions!!

Amazing service, great venue and great food!! Definitely recommend reserving a seat beforehand! The space is compact and street parking is few and far between, but well worth it.

This is the fanciest worst upscale meal I've ever had. My chicken was dry, tough & over-salted. There was no way this plate was worth $50+. My husband had the short ribs & they were also dry. The risotto was bland and chewy. Never in my upscale dining experiences have I had two disappointing plates for one meal. Our server was very grumpy. There were 2 people sitting at the bar. One solo table & our table of two in a Friday night. We did not feel comfortable or welcome. We're guests at the Desolation hotel & canceled our Sunday morning reservations while still at dinner Friday night because the service was so awkward.

Cozy breakfast spot with delicious food! We all loved our dishes but the Short Rib Benny was a fan favorite! Delicious freshly squeezed OJ too! So glad we found this place. Make reservations

This place was amazing and delicious. My BF literally licked his plate clean. He had the Short Rib Beni. Andrea D. Was amazing, courteous and knowledgeable about the history of "Maggie's". Thank You. We'll be back very soon.

We spent the past weekend in Tahoe and were looking for a nice place to have breakfast at. After a couple searches of places around we decided to check out Maggie's. Once you get to the Desolation Hotel, you have take the elevator as it's on the third floor. It's a pretty small little spot but it's honestly feels very warm and comfy. The service was phenomenal as our server was really attentive and helpful (shoutout Andrea ) The most important part of it all is the food. Everything tasted awesome and honestly the only downer was the potato serving portion size (in the pictures). The Hollandaise in the Benedict is most definitely some of the best sauce I've tasted. The homemade biscuit was fireeee too. I 1000% recommend checking out Maggie's for your next brunch needs in Tahoe

The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing experience! This resort and restaurant are first class…read more We shared 3 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert, 2 cocktails and 1 dessert wine. The bill before tip was $350 and I was not mad at all about that because it was worth it. The Comanche Creek Spring Pea Salad was amazing. Even my "I don't like peas, but get it if you want" dining partner gobbled it up with a smile. The fried quail was good and larger than expected. The real star was the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio! Something I may have passed on because I've eaten it at so many places, but so glad I didn't because it set the bar as the best I have ever had and I wish I could have it again and again. The Elk Chop was delicious and perfectly cooked. There was an $8 split charge for that, but we could not have fit an additional main in our belly, so half a main each was the perfect serving size. It left just enough room to order a lovely dessert, the Chocolate Pistachio Royal. All in all a great meal. The only thing that could have made it better would be a more relaxed pace. I felt like moments after we ordered, way before our cocktails arrived, all 3 starters were placed in front of us. Drinks first, and then maybe one starter at a time would have felt less rushed. Then the moment our plates were cleared our dinner was there. A minute or two for a breath would be nice. I know too fast is way better than too slow so not really complaining. But the view was beautiful and the amiance was so special I would have liked a slower pace to take it all in.

Would recommend coming around sunset time! We booked a table right before sunset and there's a small patio right outside the restaurant you can take nice golden hour photos at while waiting for your meal or after. The views of the lake through the glass windows is one of the best parts of coming here. Food was good, we got: Amuse Bouche - Fruit with micro meat iced in a shot glass (complimentary) Appetizers: - King Prawn Tostada $38 - came with 3 prawns which were huge! And delicious. The tostada was pretty thick and tough to eat in certain places - Fried Quail $42 - really unique, I've never had fried quail and it was great flavor! It came on a bed of coleslaw and we didn't like the coleslaw, had a sweet flavor to it - Bread and butter $8 - crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. came with 4 rolls and a side of salted butter, lavender butter and chili honey Mains: - American Wagyu Filet $79 - tender and came with a side of potatoes. The meat itself was very tender. Mild flavored and came with a huckleberry juniper jus which I didn't love the sweetness but still good - Elk chop $62 - very unique, we don't see this much so was recommended to try. It was good and gamey. Told it was imported from New Zealand. Dessert: We were too full for dessert but they gave us bits of complimentary raspberry chocolate which was delicious Drinks: - Haleakala (non alcoholic) $15 - delicious mocktail with a coconut flavor - Vesuvius (non alcoholic) $15 - sweet cherry taste to it, a bit too sweet for us The food here is very pricey. It's good quality and tastes good but definitely feels like you're paying for the ambiance and service. Great for special occasions. We were celebrating a birthday and they wished us happy birthday multiple times. Parking is valet only ~ complimentary and only need to tip.

I initially purchased tickets for our group through Groupon over a month in advance, only to learn after purchasing that the venue had a policy not stated on Groupon which required in-person Groupon Voucher redemption. Since they told me they also couldn't reserve seats over the phone to guarantee our preferred seating together, the venue offered to initiate a Groupon refund so I could book direct. We both assumed that the Groupon refund would be straightforward, but after a few weeks went by with no refund, I reached out to Groupon support directly to which they seemed to have no knowledge of the approved refund. It then took several more weeks and a long thread of back-and fourth emails with Groupon's support to reach a resolution. Although the Loft management was empathetic and supportive to the situation, I did most of the heavy lifting and spent so much of my time driving the follow-up with Groupon. Ultimately, Groupon only offered a partial refund, but the Loft management stepped in and honored my initial request and the box office staff seamlessly sorted everything out for us on the night of the show. Although in the end it was resolved, all of the difficulty and loss of my time spent securing the tickets could have been easily avoided if the Groupon policies had been clear (which management acknowledged they will update moving forward), or if the box office could have just reserved the seats for our party in advance. Overall, despite the difficulty getting the tickets secured, the staff at The Loft proved they truly care about their guests and turned the experience around. Every single staff member we interacted with throughout the night was accommodating, professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. As for the venue itself, it has a really modern, upscale, and well-decorated aesthetic that sets a great mood the moment you walk in. The show, including the magician Robert Hall and his assistant were highly engaging and entertaining which ultimately made the whole night worth it. Our group had a bachelorette who had the best time and she even participated in in the show which had some crowd interactive moments so that was really fun for her.
