Limited menu options but our group really enjoyed the dishes we ordered! Stopped here before the drive back home and it was filling, yummy, and worth the visit! The ambience was very nice. We wish we had a chance to eat outside but it was raining on and off so we decided to sit inside. Service was not super attentive, but the food came out in a timely manner. I managed to make a reservation on OpenTable prior to coming over on the day of! The quality of the food is pretty good- the food itself was a tad slow to come out, so I wouldn't recommend coming if you're in a rush. Prices are on the higher side. My boyfriend and I ordered the Maggie's Classic with scrambled eggs and the Short Rib Beni. The Maggie's Classic was your standard fare American meal, I thought it was pretty filling and gave me the energy I needed for our afternoon hike. The Short Rib Beni was also good! Our server topped up my boyfriend's black coffee for free. The tip is a bit extravagant- it starts at 20% and goes up to 30%. Honestly my favorite dish was the French toast, wow it was amazing! Service was ok, the waitress was more glued onto the screen watching the world cup but im sure if it wasn't the world cup service would be a bit better so will not lower my stars as overall experience was good. We just had to wait for our check to pay while they all watch FIFA which I understand not very often the world cup is being played , one waitress hid behind the glass when flagged down to get the check so we can pay and leave. Nice open location, not busy when we went on a sunday for brunch. This place was super cute, love the vibe... and the history! The food was meh. I got the breakfast plate and my daughter got the yogurt parfait. Mine was good... the potatoes were super yummy just a little too salty... the homemade sausage was good.. you could tell the yogurt parfait was premade, the granola was soggy which made the yogurt super thick ... for a small place things like this shouldn't be premade I feel...Definitely overpriced. Wow! What a hidden gem in SLT! We were excited to try this " new to us" restaurant. The venue is on the smaller side-but they also offer outdoor seating with heaters. There is a small 4 person bar counter as well. We were very impressed with Chefs creations and the homemade pasta. We dined in the Halibut and the Salmon-both were amazingly flavorful. 10/10 read more

Came here for a quick pit stop for breakfast! There was minimal parking on the side of the restaurant and minimal seating inside! Luckily we were sat within 10 minutes but it does get quite busy! The service was kind, fast, & attentive! The ambiance was medium to loud noise level. There were small tables no more than 4 people sat at a time! The salmon was wonderful and tasted fresh! It is cozy and the service were excellent. They are very dog friendly. We have our little pomeranian with us in backpack. We were able to sit inside the restaurant. We ordered a Maggie's Omelet, a Short Rib Reni, and 2 Maggie's Classic. Every dish was well seasoned and not greasy! The sausage patties was amazing and the breakfast potato was perfect! We spent the past weekend in Tahoe and were looking for a nice place to have breakfast at. After a couple searches of places around we decided to check out Maggie's. Once you get to the Desolation Hotel, you have take the elevator as it's on the third floor. It's a pretty small little spot but it's honestly feels very warm and comfy. The service was phenomenal as our server was really attentive and helpful (shoutout Andrea ) The most important part of it all is the food. Everything tasted awesome and honestly the only downer was the potato serving portion size (in the pictures). The Hollandaise in the Benedict is most definitely some of the best sauce I've tasted. The ambiance is really cute & it feels like you're eating in a treehouse! Very romantic setting for a date night or to have drinks. Our server, Yedi, was very friendly & accommodating. I have now been here for breakfast & for dinner. Both good experiences. The braised beef we ordered was extremely tender & flavorful. It was served over a cheesy tomato risotto (I think it was risotto?) It was a well rounded, creative dish. We also ordered the Caesar salad which was a nice starter. We had a great Mother's Day brunch here. I was looking for a dog friendly restaurant and this is the place. My little Winston was so welcomed here. They gave him a water dish and they even had a little pet menu. It's a small place but wasn't crowded at all. We made a reservation for 12 but we got there early, around 11:15, and we were seated right away. The food was amazing! First we started of with the prosciutto wrapped brie with a berry compote. It was salty, sweet, creamy and oh so delicious. I just wished they would have served more bread with it as there was 3 of us sharing and a lot to the the brie. I had the burger and fries. The burger was huge and very tasty, one of the best I've had in a long time, and the fries were crispy and well seasoned, I loved them. My daughter and I split the salad, It was so big it can be a meal itself. My daughter ordered Maggie's Omelte and she said it was really good. As for my husband, the Chicken Fried Pork Belly was for him and it was served with potatoes. He said he's never tasted anything like it and was very pleased. The staff were great. Very attentive and friendly. They also have a patio where one can dine also. We will be returning. read more

I've been to Maggie's many times for dinner and decided to go for lunch the other day. The meal was great as always, but unfortunately the service was lacking, even though there were not very many customers. The restaurant was understaffed and the waitstaff was overwhelmed. We had to chase someone down to get a drink order in only to have to repeat it a few minutes later. The drinks arrive 30 minutes after we sat down. By the time the food came later I was starving. Our dinner was good. Short ribs with sun-dried tomato polenta was absolutely amazing. The pesto dish was average. I appreciated the homemade noodles and the grilled artichoke but it lacked a whole lot of flavor. I was also disappointed in the presentation of the bruschetta. It was more of a chutney with soggy vegetables than a fresh traditional appetizer. The quality of service was less than, thank goodness the executive chef brought out or meal because our server was not very attentive. Plan in advance because I can see a line waiting outside easily. I came for breakfast and brought my dog. They are also dog friendly with a pooch menu items for them to enjoy as hoomans eat. I order one of their common dishes. I think it was called Maggie's platter? I can't remember but ok, lots of things I liked about it. Eggs- solid scramble. Buttery. Sausage- so good! Nice sweetness to them and I personally am not a sausage breakfast fanatic, but these I liked. Bacon- eeh. Potatoes- nicely seasoned with Parmesan cheese. Biscuit- my least fav. Cute rooftop restaurant at the Desolation Hotel with delicious New American fare. Food: Pretty much everything was delicious. However, the standout dish was definitely the Beets and Burrata starter. Ambience: Nice vibe. Seating is limited, so reservations are a good idea. It can also feel pretty cramped when all of the tables are full. Service: Even though there was only one server, everything came out quickly. She was also attentive and gave all of the tables great service. The one thing that was a little off-putting was the room service for Desolation Hotel guests. Theoretically, you can call the restaurant for room service between certain hours, but we weren't able to get through to anyone to actually place an order. read more
