Food was flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed a burrito without rice and two chicken tacos. Chicken was cooked nicely it's the right texture. Food was filling. Ambiance is artistic and charming. There is a moderate amount of seating inside, and there's a TV to watch sports games.

Mom wanted to eat and it was after 1:00. Perfect time to go in. We looked online to see what she would want. Me also. So we went in ordered and were served quickly. She enjoyed the regular taco more than the shrimp taco but two was perfect for her. Mine was great also. She and I will bring family in next time they come to visit. Thanks. Gracias.

It's actually really hard to find good Mexican food in Watsonville, believe it or not. So many choices, but most are greasy and undistinguished. Tacos Al Fuego is a cut above, with fresh ingredients, tasty preparations, innovation and attractive setting. It's a stall in the hangar, so there's a fun party-like atmosphere. The murals on the walls are gorgeous! This place is fire ;) A salsa bar offers a plethora of fresh salsas and delicious cucumber pickles. There's a full menu of veg and vegan options in addition to the regular menu of meat and fish dishes. They use mayocoba beans, super tasty, IYKYK. Our favorite thing we tried was the fried avocado taco. Rare to see avo get a crispy crunchy crust like that, and my husband loved it!!

Food was amazing! It was delicious, flavorful, and filling!! I got a grilled fish taco and an asada taco. My daughter got an asada quesadilla. We also got a side of rice and beans and it was enough for 2-3 people. Service was great- courteous, attentive, and welcoming. Would definitely go here again.

2nd visit to this place and it has delivered both times. It's a great Mexican place and not much more to say beyond that. We ordered the super quesadilla both times and haven't needed to order much more beyond that. The group I was with also ordered these like Birra tacos that were delicious also. It's the kind of place you can order anything on the menu and be totally satisfied. We have driven out of the way to stop here both times.

Incredibly delicious surf and turf burrito with the best sauce inside. Service was quick. Located next to a coffee shop and beer garden if you need anything before and after.

Tacos Al Fuego near Watsonville airport is an absolute flavor explosion! Their burritos are packed with fresh, bold ingredients that hit every taste bud just right-make sure to try the vibrant salsas! The menu offers something for everyone, and you can really taste the care that goes into each dish. The staff is super friendly and welcoming-warm, welcoming, and attentive. Incredible food, fantastic vibes, and service that can't be beat-this place is an absolute gem!

3 types of salsa. I skipped their HOT one... I'm not brave enough yet. Next time, tho.

Don't sleep on Tacos Al Fuego! Their food packs all the punch! Asada super burrito is my favorite. Their salsa bar has a heat level for every one, each of them full of flavor. Parking can sometimes be discouraging but I swear it's worth the walk.

Tried this place when visiting the nearby tap room. Son got asada burrito, I got surf and turf burrito, and wife got asada nachos. The cashier said she would deliver it to us since we wanted to head down to the tap room outdoor patio. I thought that was very nice of her. Condiment station had some good salsas available too. Burritos were very good, nachos were just average. Not a place I'd go out of my way to visit, but if you are craving Mexican and are in the area, it is worth it.

I was excited to try this spot. I have been to this collection of restaurants near the airport before. It's very quaint, modern and a great spot to hang out with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Note that parking is a major pain in the area. I was trying to save time so wanted to call in my order before picking up. However, despite calling like 5 times, no one responded which was kinda annoying. When I got to the restaurant, there was one lady who was on the phone facing the other way. After waiting patiently for a while to place my order, I finally had to speak up to get her attention. She was super nice once she engaged though I was still irked overall since the food took 20 minutes to get ready after that and I ended up spending a lot more time than I had intended to. This would have been a lower rating after that but the food made up for it. The baja fish taco and mullita were the bomb! Really flavorful and delicious.

The restaurant is an open space, it has a lot of seating options and since we came right when they open, they told us to sit wherever we want. We sat at one of the corners (if you want a little privacy that's the section you can choose). This is way different from all the Mexican restaurants I've been to. You have to go to the cashier and order and pay your foods at the same time. Which is a bit easier to do I guess. Then your food will be delivered to you at your table. I ordered a chicken enchilada. It's good for the price. My friends ordered different dishes and they loved it. They have clean bathrooms which is a plus. The only thing I would like to say is that the cashier that time was probably having a bad day coz she was giving us an attitude. Maybe next time, if you're going to be the face of the business, make sure you are pleasant to talk to

The restaurant is located in a beautiful traditional building with a lot of character. I really enjoyed the ambiance and decor, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though the restaurant was busy, they were able to seat us right away. The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of options. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, which were both good. The salsa had a nice flavor, and the chips were fresh. We also ordered the nachos as an appetizer. For our entrees, I ordered Combo Plate #6, which included a chile verde burrito, a cheese enchilada, and a carne asada taco. We also ordered a carne asada taco plate with a cheese enchilada and a chimichanga. When the food arrived, the presentation was impressive, and the portions were very generous. Unfortunately, this is where our experience started to decline. The rice and beans were good, but the chile verde burrito was quite dry. The pork lacked tenderness and was overcooked. The cheese enchilada was decent, though not particularly memorable. The carne asada taco was also disappointing. While the tortilla was excellent and the meat was well-seasoned, the steak itself was very fatty and undercooked. In fact, no one at our table was able to finish their steak tacos because of the quality of the meat. The chimichanga was another letdown. It arrived covered in sauce like a wet burrito, which eliminated the crispy texture you would expect from a chimichanga. As a result, it became soggy and still somehow tasted dry inside. The highlight of the meal was definitely the nachos--simple, flavorful, and enjoyable. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive, regularly refilling our drinks and bringing additional chips without us having to ask. Overall, we really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the food fell short of our expectations. I probably wouldn't return for dinner, but I would consider stopping by for happy hour, some nachos or appetizers, and to enjoy the ambiance.

It obviously is a popular place. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered drinks and asked for a menu. And then we waited...and waited, and waited.. The worst part was the waiter/bartender had a long ongoing conversation with the couple directly beside us, but completely ignored us the whole time, and didn't ask if we were ready to order--just walked by after every conversation. We had our menus closed on the counter, so I think it was kind of obvious we were ready to order? Also, no conversation at all about menu items and recommendations--zero, which really helps when I am at a new restaurant deciding what to order. Finally, after a long wait, I did what I really (!!!) don't like doing, which is to try to flag down anyone who might notice to take out food order. At that point, I am over. However, that did work after maybe 2 tries. We both agreed the customer service wasn't very good, and there are better places elsewhere. I guess don't try to order food at the bar. The food was good, but nothing special. The salsa is watery. I do prefer a chunkier salsa, especially with chips. The drinks are very good as well as the wine selection, so maybe that is an option.
