I came here one night based on the reviews, and I'm not picky or a tough judge. But it wasn't that good to me. I got chicken nachos, carne asada tacos, and the corn. I will give them great the portion sizes are great for the price. The service is great. Super friendly and will answer any questions. It is it's on stand alone at a gas station lot. The nachos were okay. I probably should've gotten it deconstructed. The amount of cheese and sour cream on it made the nachos soggy (and I live near by). The carne asada tacos were too chewy, and I would just leave the Mexican corn there. It was a bit disappointing. read more

Probably the best quesabirria I've had! Great little hole in the wall place, friendly staff and even has seating (outdoors) and a restroom. Food came out in only 10 minutes and was brought out to us. Would recommend! read more

Super friendly folks that make a great taco. Was happy to see beef cheeks as a meat option. Nachos were great and should've asked if they had jalepenos, as that would've made them even better. Burrito was ok and served with fries. It was a nice day to sit outside (though not much to look at but ppl pumping gas), but as other said, this is pretty much a take out operation. In the same lot as a gas station, it was great for a one stop shop to get gas or bottled water while you wait. Cute little place. Bathrooms needed attention but didn't honestly expect them to even have one. You either have to take food to-go or sit outside, they have a couple umbrellas as seen in the picture. I ordered the fries with steak, I didn't want steak and they had no problem changing it to beef for me. The portion could've been shared. We also ordered 2 beef tacos beans ad rice. Nothing to write home to mom about. Great lunch spot. I would return for lunch if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

My dad and I both ordered quesadillas -- absolutely amazing! I've had too many sad little wimpy quesadillas in my life, but the quesadillas at Tacos California hit the gym and drink their creatine. Perfect cheese-to-meat ratio (cannot be overstated how important this is), would've ordered another one if I wasn't so full! They also have three sauces available -- hot, mild verde, and an avocado crema -- that all pair well with the meal. The storefront itself is basically a large takeout window, but there's patio seating outside, so good for on-the-go or if you want to stay. The owners were very friendly to us when we stopped by, so will definitely be stopping by more often! read more

Really nice people. My second time being here, it's mostly takeout but there are some tables outside. You will battle some bugs and the elements if you sit out there. My second trip and each item I've eaten there is as good or better than you can get anywhere else. Large, freshly cooked portions and really good service. They get the food to you what I would say as timely considering that it's cooked fresh. So, it's going to take a minute. Worth it. Definitely will be back read more

So we decided to try this place again and order online like before but apparently their internet was down, we called and no one answered so decided to stop by and drive up to the window. The young ladies seemed to want to do anything other than help us! We explained our efforts at the drive thru and they said to order we had to come inside, even though they had no current orders. I had the 6" shredded beef taco with lettuce and tomatoes, I put the medium salsa on it. The shells were fantastic, served in an aluminum tray. THIS WAS THE BEST TACO I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE !!! They also throw in a spicy roasted onion and a big green pepper. I went back in and got the 4" taco, same ingredients. they have a few outdoor tables. EXCELLENT FOOD !!!! read more

Absolutely fantastic tacos. One of the things I loved the most was how easy they were to eat in the truck. They didn't fall apart. They were stuffed and cooked very well!!! The broth could have had a tad more seasoning/salt just to give it that extra savory flavor but I loved all the extra onion and cilantro they put with it. The mild, medium and hot sauce were all great but also could have used just a pinch more salt. Easy fix if you're dining on the porch. I will definitely take this route again just to get a plate of these tacos! The chips were also fresh. A lot of small places like this just use premade chips but these were fresh and crisp and a very nice portion. I was really surprised the queso was so good. A lot of quesos are just made with white velveeta but this tasted really great. Just like you would order in a traditional sit down Mexican restaurant. read more

Our third time ordering, but will be our last. Paid extra for chips and salsa, the tortilla chips tasted horrible, like they were burnt. Ordered the steak tacos which were good the past two times. Third time was not the charm. The meat was so fatty, you couldn't even chew it. We are again looking for a decent taco place. read more
