Mixed experience here. My Tex-Mex dish tasted great, though the portion was on the smaller side. My wife's steak Tex-Mex, however, was inedible due to being all fat and gristle. When we spoke to the waiter, the only option offered was a remake, and the manager later excused it by saying they have new cooks. We didn't want the item comped entirely, but a discount for the trouble would have been appropriate. We just paid the full bill and left. read more

Reviewed this restaurant several years ago as excellent. Now it is even better. La Grange Ga has approximately 12 Mexican Restaurants. My favorite......20 minute drive North to Franklin Georgia and the Del Rio Mexican Restaurant. This restaurant sits on the Chattahoochee River bank. Views are amazing. Food here is better than you normally get at any traditional Mexican restaurant, presented beautifully I might add! Wall art is absolutely AMAZING! The ambiance here is hard to believe for a small town restaurant, but totally worth the drive. AND if you have one of their fresh Margaritas.....you will feel like you never really had a margarita before.......and I am not a huge margarita fan. Jose our server was friendly...... in a not-so-typical server way that really felt great as customers! BEST RESTAURANT BY FAR IN THIS AREA! Food is absolutely horrible. It's always cold. Tonight the enchiladas supremo came out stone cold. I told them it was cold. They took it back and said they would remake them. Whether they did or not, I don't know. The plate came back in two minutes, nothing at all was different. All four enchiladas were cold....for the second time around. I told the server I just didn't want them cold but they were not willing to work with me on the price. I paid full price and left. Almost 18 dollars for food I couldn't eat. Not good service when someone has to pay 18 dollars and leave without being able to eat anything at all. Don't get stuck like I did. They won't work with you there and every time I have tried to go there, the food is completely cold. If you go there, just know that they will not work with you. So just hope it comes out right. Sending it back does you no good. They just can't seem to get anything hot. Last time the cheese dip was cold and I asked them to warm it up but it came back just as cold as it already was. I ordered the fajitas last time there and they came out NOT sizzling in any way. Everyone knows that fajitas should come out sizzling. No sizzle. Just barely warm fajitas. I'm done. I won't ever go back to this place. Complete rip off. read more

My family and I routinely meet at this restaurant. Not sure why the low scores. They have the best guacamole. We've had several great dishes and no problems with the service. A hidden local gem just a short drive outside of Newnan where there's no waiting to be seated and a great view overlooking the river. read more

Food was good but the service was an absolute nightmare. Drinks took forever. No salsa with the chips. Waited forever for the bill. Waitress had to ask each person what they had. Bill finally came and was totally inaccurate. We just paid it and worked it out amongst ourselves so we could leave. read more

Had dinner there on Sunday afternoon in June, 2023. Our steak Fajitas were not sizzling and appeared to be warmed over food. Poor quality. Our bill for 2 steak fajita dinners and 1 taco meal was $49.00 plus a tip. Very disappointed as I live in Franklin, Ga and was trying to find a restaurant close to home with good quality food at a decent price. I will not spend any more time or money at Del Rios, I will continue my search for a good restaurant. read more
