I was looking for a good taco spot in the area. I was craving tacos and knew I could find a nearby place after reading some reviews. I came across this spot. I'm so glad I stopped in. I ordered 2 chicken tacos. And they were absolutely delicious. They have plenty of indoor seating. They have drinks and other food available, too. This is a very casual spot, but if you're looking for flavorful tacos, look no further!

Let's taco 'bout it... Tacos CDMX is a Mexican taqueria in downtown Westwood. It's located on a busy main street with plenty of metered street parking and lots around the area. The interior is festive, vibrant, and colorful with hanging pinatas and luchador masks. There's a seating area with tables for small and large groups as well as stools at the open kitchen counter. It's a casual spot to have a quick meal, but it's not ideal for a date or celebration. The menu has all of your classic Mexican street food favorites like tacos (duh!), burritos, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, flautas, tostadas, nachos, etc. I ordered the Taco Tuesday deal (4 tacos for $10) and a small horchata ($3). You can only choose two kinds of meat for the tacos. Not a bad price for a lunch meal! Service was friendly and welcoming. My food was ready in 10-12 minutes. I decided to dine in and I was given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and salty, but weren't served hot. The salsa was watery - they both tasted like they were bought from the store and not made fresh. The horchata was a disappointment. It was very watered down. It lacked that smooth, milky texture. The rice and cinnamon flavors were diluted. On to the tacos... Each one comes with a soft corn tortilla, onions, cilantro, radish, cucumber, and lime. I ordered (2) al pastor and (2) carne asada. I'll start with the good. They gave me a generous portion of meat for all four tacos. When I say generous, I mean in the "meat is spilling off of the tortilla" kind of generous. The tortillas were warm, chewy, and tasted freshly made. Now for the bad. The meat was on the dry side. Nothing was tender, juicy, or flavorful. Carne asada and al pastor are known for their bold, savory, smoky, tangy, sweet, and complex flavor profiles. It all tasted bland. They had bottles of green and orange salsa sauces. The salsa verde was clumpy and watery, but I had no choice but to dump a bunch of it onto the meat because I needed some kind of flavor... some kind of spice... anything. Definitely not a memorable or authentic taqueria experience. I'm hesitant to return since there's so many other delicious taco spots in the area. Maybe this was an off day in the kitchen or maybe it wasn't.

Waited 30 minutes for my order and specifically said no onion and no cilantro due to an allergy. Come home and its covered. Sad part is the tacos look good but you have to pay attention to the customer needs to keep them. There goes a meal- money and time wasted.

We stumbled upon Tacos CDMX by accident and gave it a try because of the great reviews. The interior had colorful decor, including piñatas and luchador masks. They had an indoor seating area, and the ambiance was very casual. I placed a takeout order for my whole family which included Tinga Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Pastor Tacos, Guacamole, Quesadilla, Tinga Empanada, and Horchata. Service was lukewarm but efficient, and the food only took about 20 minutes to come out. I may be biased after living in California for the last 3 years, but the food was just good, not great. The Chicken Tacos were a little bland, and we all enjoyed the Tinga Tacos a lot more. Both the Quesadilla and Tinga Empanada were very standard. I also didn't love the Horchata, which mostly tasted like milk without the cinnamon flavor. My favorite item was the Guacamole, which tasted super fresh and had the perfect consistency. Portion sizes were generous and pricing was reasonable!

steak and shrimp taco... looks messy from the travel but was delicious

Grabbed two tacos after work one day - one steak and one shrimp. Love how you can buy one and mix and match. I thought both was great and portions of steak was good and tender. I made modifications to my order in the app - no onions and add guacamole and it was made to my liking. Doubled tortillas too. With a 20% tip it was $10... good price for a lunch or lite dinner. Wish they had curbside pickup but I was able to park.

This is the real deal for amazing tacos!  We sampled a variety of their tacos and liked them all!  Each taco is made fresh when ordered so plan on a few minutes extra wait time.  We were impressed with the amount of meat in each taco, as they were loaded!  The sauces/salsas that accompanied were equally as tasty.  The prices were very reasonable for the quality of tacos/food (4 for $12).  We will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I found this place because of yelp. It's nice inside, really big and plenty of space for my kids to run around without annoying everyone. The guy at the counter was super nice and helpful when taking our order. The food came quick and was presented really nicely. The food. The food. The food. It was crazy. I ate myself sick knowing full well the whole time I was doing it. I couldn't stop. The chips are clearly made in house and were super fresh. So good we ordered nachos just to have more. We got chicken fingers and a chicken quesadilla for our kids - both awesome - and then a carnitas burrito which we ordered without rice (they gave us lettuce and tomatoes instead). It was such an excellent burrito I could have eaten a second one. I will be back for tacos but also learned they have a food truck in the summer so hopefully there will be an occasion for the tacos to come to me! P.S. The hot sauce was a highlight - don't miss it.

We tried this place based on recommendations from friends in town. Luckily, we found parking right across the street on the corner. It is a nice place with one section for takeout and the other half with seating. I liked how they use piñatas and luchadores masks for decor. The staff was welcoming and friendly. As for the food, I thought it was delicious, came in good-sized portions, and was affordable. We ordered the carnitas burrito bowl, suadero burrito bowl, and suadero burrito. Everything was freshly made. They also served some homemade tortilla chips with salsa. Also, they don't have tap water but rather bottled water. Definitely another Mexican restaurant that I'd recommend to family and friends, and would visit again!

I have been here several times now and despite having encountered different workers every time it's been a pleasant experience each time. Service is stellar. Now on to the food: You ever get takeout lately and been left just....meh? You spend money for ___insert reasons here____ but at the end of your experience it left you wanting more? NOT HERE. Well, not in that lackluster way. Tacos CDMX leaves you wanting to try EVERYTHING. It's THAT GOOD. I've been here on several Tuesdays for taco specials and was able to try all the flavors so hear me when I say, SUADERO FTW!! I'm all for Birria but I'm telling youuuuuuuu SUADERO! If you don't know and you're just intimidated by the name, it's fatty beef which translates to...absolutely delicious. I would come here for lunch and the order to go for dinner. The prices are incredibly reasonable especially given that it's in Westwood. Everything is packed with flavor. Oh, the rice? I can't even believe I have to say this coz who messes up rice but I was recently at a Panda Express (I know, that was my fault) but their rice was uncooked. Like it was coated in oil and it had the promise of maybe being cooked only it wasn't. So yeah you can pay for food and rice can get messed up but at Tacos CDMX it's perfectly cooked every time. The texture is just fluffy and flavorful. I know I'm going HAM on rice but I'm telling you. Buy it on the side, take it home and eat it with whatever you want or by itself. It's that good. I used to buy the suadero tacos and side of rice thinking I didn't want everything that was on the burrito bowl. Well, turns out I was lying to myself. Their beans are amazing and so is the guac and that crema on top of the meat is perfect. I love that you can bring your small kids and they can sing like birds and no one cares. No pressure, everyone! Let's talk ambiance. It's clean, decor for the holiday was so pretty and I love the window art. Piñatas hanging from the ceiling just felt authentic and multi purpose which I love. Idk y'all, stop reading this and order before they close! To Tacos CDMX, never change.

    Al Pastor tacos - 4 for $15

Finally, real authentic Mexico City tacos, burritos, tortas, huaraches and more in Westwood! Tacos CDMX provides a good variety of the taqueria standards like pastor, carnitas, lengua, suadero (!), tinga, chorizo, longaniza, tripa and - for the gringos - pollo, ground beef, shrimp and steak. Appetizers include standards like guacamole and nachos, plus salchipapas, papas a la francesa (french fries Mexico City style with ketchup, mayo and cotija cheese), empanadas and more. Menudo on Friday and Saturday along with esquites, fresas (strawberries) con crema and manzanas (apple) con crema! Nice menu! We sat a table inside and were served by a waitress. A basket of chips with salsa fresca was promptly brought to the table along with additional squeeze bottles of green and red salsa, all of which were fresh and tasty. I ordered the pastor tacos (4 per order for $15), which were served "street style" on two medium-size tortillas packed with meat, cilantro and onion with radish, cucumber, lime and grilled spring onion on the side. Muy delicioso! My daughter had a torta with tripa (tripe) which she said was excellent, and my wife had tinga (shredded chicken in red sauce) tacos plus elote. Both also had the horchata, which had a hint of pineapple flavor that they enjoyed. Service was prompt and friendly. The overall bill was quite reasonable for a tasty filling meal. Love what they've done with the space - the white tile with bright crimson details and humorous sayings in Spanish painted on the walls give the place a bright, welcoming feel that's very much like taking a trip to sunny Mexico City deep in the heart of Northern Joisy. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Now if only I can talk them into doing birria on weekends (de chivo por favor!). We will be regulars for sure!

Today I discovered there's a "Tacoria" Restaurant location in Bergen Town Center Mall…read more I had previously visited the one in Edgewater. So after running some errands and doing a bit of shopping at the mall, I decided to stop by. I ordered two Tacos and a Guava+ basil water. One taco was chicken al pastor and the other was carne asada. Here is my rating for the experience: -Food: 9/10 -Customer Service: 9/10 -Decor, Organization & Cleanliness: 10/10 The best part of the tacos is definitely the tortilla. It's a bit thicker than what you would normally use at home in Mexico. It seems to be made the traditional way by grinding the corn rather than using processed corn flour. And its flavor is sooooo gooood!!! Because of this, the taco doesn't fall apart while you're eating it, no matter how much liquid or salsa is inside. Congratulations to this growing franchise and blessings to the whole team. Thank you, see you soon!

This one is very good. I got chicken tinga, al pastor, and chorizo and they were all very good, packed with flavor. Chicken tinga is nice shredded up chicken with really good flavor. The Alpastor was very good, great flavor cooked good. Comes topped with pineapple. The chorizo was my favorite it was slightly spicy but great flavor. Love that it's crumpled up. I only gave it 4/5 stars cause it was a bit pricey it was $21 for 4 tacos but they were very good definitely worth the money. Service was great you can order from the person or there is a iPad to order on. They came out fast. Lots of seating inside as well, high top tables and regular tables towards the back. I will definitely be back
