El Azteca. The Aztec. A civilization which rose to and held power for centuries. Their leadership,…read morein some indirect fashion, has led to the craftsmanship of El Azteca - A slight chain of Mexican restaurants in a 30 min radius of Bergen County. I will copy and paste this review across the Park Ridge and Mahwah locations so emphasize my appreciate for their consistency in providing great Mexican food. If you are consistently performing, Linguini will take care of you. Like I've taken care of many others. I will bring you to the top with me. If you backstab me. Oh if you come for me at the top, you will reach an abyss so deep you may end up digging to China. Don't test me. I'm not that guy. Anyways, I've tried a lot from Azteca. Most of what they've got is a 4/4.5 out of 5 but I'm rounding up for the full experience. Phenomenal price point. Variety of food that all comes out well. Performs well in restaurant and when the food travels. Friendly staff. And local business of which I support. I suffer from GGS - Good Guy Syndrome, sorry not sorry. My motha, bless her soul. I legit mean bless her soul. Be nice. Pray. Bow down to her. She doesn't eat much food but she even loved the taco salad here so much that she asked to go again. So much protein, so well seasoned. Just as their other options showcase as well. My personal favs are the Kash Burrito and the, what I'd call "trademark" Cod Burrito. Never have seen it elsewhere like this. The wrap is toasted wonderfully, great rice, great salsa. I mean this place just does it real well. I've had tacos, appetizers, desserts. Never let down. El Azteca is consistently good. Constantly pushing out quality product. Is it the best Mexican I've had? No. But it's the most underrated. Being a consistent 4, makes you a five in my books. It's like that girl that's occasionally a 6 or occasionally an 9... you can't bring her home. But that girl that's consistently a 7 or an 8? You let her meet the fam. I don't where I'm going with this one. All I'll say is STOP. Stop going to Chipotle, Bubbakoo's, etc. when you could be supporting a better quality and friendlier priced location in El Azteca. Thank you in advance. I will be watching - LB.

Rainy days and tacos just make sense together…read more While driving near Nyack, NY, we stumbled across a small hidden gem called El Cuñao Taqueria & Deli tucked away from the busier stretch of Main Street. No frills, no flashy atmosphere -- just comida auténtica and seriously satisfying flavors. I ordered the carne asada nachos and an order of tacos al pastor, and both hit the spot perfectly. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and that classic street-style taco taste that instantly lifts your ánimo on a gloomy day. The nachos were loaded, cheesy, and packed with flavor, while the al pastor tacos were simple, fresh, and delicioso. And yes... we washed it all down with a Coke Zero in a glass bottle because somehow it siempre tastes better that way. Now, if you're looking for upbeat energy and polished service, este lugar probably isn't it. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked motivation. But where the service fell short, the kitchen absolutely delivered with authentic flavors and generous portions. Sometimes the best spots are the quiet little hole-in-the-wall places that let the food do all the talking.

From the service to the food and drinks, it was all amazing. We started with chips and guacamole for the table. The guac was perfectly made! For dinner, I tried the Ropa Vieja. It was a big plate so I had leftovers to bring home. We split fried Oreos for dessert along with an espresso martini. It was our waiter's birthday and staff came out to sing happy birthday with a cake in the dining room. I thought that was especially nice of the management team to do. Too bad, he was not able to have a birthday shot ha!

I think, unfortunately this is my first post that I have to be low on the stars. There needs to be…read morea lot of improvement to this restaurant and I'm going to put it out there so hopefully someone from this restaurant will see it. It's a beautiful atmosphere a cool ambience I mean there's so much room for lot of improvement. Mind you we went on a Monday, which is not as busy as a weekend. I had a party of six there was enough tables, and for God sakes there was another room in there that she could've sat me down, but she said to me I had to wait for my party. My party was unfortunately a half an hour late. I am disabled and she did not even offer me to sit down or even say do you want to wait by the bar and have a drink while you wait for your party I stood there for five minutes contemplating what to do because I just didn't even feel welcomed then finally my party showed up the waiter that we had was too busy worried about his FIFA soccer bet more than us. The only reason why I know about this bet is because I was sitting next to the bar as he was talking to the bartender about the bet that he had. We sat at that restaurant for 2 1/2 hours again Monday night not so busy he took his time asking us what we wanted what was going on. He was very laid-back for being a waiter. The bus boy worked harder than him and was trying to make sure that we were OK. It took about three chip baskets to finally get our food and mind you we didn't even order appetizer so imagine if we did ordered appetizer because then we would've been there for three hours. The food was OK wasn't anything spectacular and there was a table sitting next to us. They had the same situation but theirs was worse because of the fact that they were a family of four with two young kids so they ordered the two Young kids got their order served meanwhile, their parents didn't get the order when they start asking questions. I believe the woman is an assistant manager, I will be honest with you. She shouldn't even be in that position because she did not make anything better. All she said to them was I will go check in the kitchen to see where your food is and then she she came back to the father and was like oh well what we can do is pack up your dinner if you cannot sit here any longer or we can offer you a discount ready for this a discount of 20% what does that do to the bill because that 20% could've went to the waiter who by the way was our waiter too so here you go you had two people sitting in the waiter station, and this waiter was basically messing up the business and mind you the two kids got their food way before we did and mind you we were there earlier another improvement that needs to be done is the menu it is too dark in there as I even saw other customers with their phones out and the flashlight on I had my flashlight and magnifier on to see what was going on, so my suggestion is to get those menus re-printed and give it a cleaner look so people can actually see what is on the menu personally, I will not return. I just had to give this review so that people could understand what was going on here on a night that was not even busy so imagine the night that it is busy and I will tell you that lady was had rubbed me the wrong way since I walked into the restaurant, not making me feel comfortable especially that I'm disabled with a cane the only saving grace of that restaurant is the atmosphere and the decor the bus boy who was an older gentleman who really cared about that restaurant and another older gentleman that's at sat us down and the bartender that evening again good luck and here is my photos from the food that was not even that bad. It's just the service needs to be worked on and the menus.
