We decided to try it anyway, and I'm glad we did! The place was surprisingly clean, which made a big difference. We ordered the birria tacos and tacos dorados, and both were really good. Everything tasted authentic. I usually judge that by the Spanish rice, and theirs did not disappoint. The habanero salsa was also on point. This was actually pretty good. I just did Uber Eats for myself and the kids. I got the kids two chicken quesadillas. It was a tad spicy for the kids liking but all around very tasty. They didn't really have a true kid option. I got a 3 street taco plate with rice and beans. It was absolutely delicious and their salsas were amazing. I'll be back. This gas station taqueria grabbed my interest with its "Mexicue" idea--fusing Mexican tastes and Texas BBQ. The main idea is solid enough, and while the food was good in particular, it didn't fully have that "wow" factor I was hoping for at all. We had the Asada Nachos, and they were well-loaded and tasty. We also got the Mexican Pizza with Smoked Brisket, which came with a consommé for dipping. The brisket was minimal to non- existent and nothing really stood out from the rest as outstanding. I figured I would get a bit more taste or a bigger amount given what it cost. On the whole, it's a decent place should the combination intrigue you, yet it did not entirely amaze me. This place feels like your Abuela is in the kitchen!!! We ordered everything on the menu!! The star of the show was the Birria Pizza!!! I was really excited to try this place but it just didn't hit the spot for me. We shared an order of Nachos supreme with asada and an order of the Mexican Pizza with smoked brisket which came with a consommé. The service was very friendly and efficient the sitting area is very limited since it's a part of a gas station. While they smell and looked really good, the taste just didn't hit the spot for me. I ordered a street taco plate (beef asada) and an extra taco (barbacoa). The flavor was fine, not the best but not the worst. They were a little greasier than normal and I wish the tacos were a tad bigger... they are quite small. I could've ordered 6 here instead of my typical 4. They are packed with meat and they did give plenty of limes. The onions and cilantro were on the side. The rice and beans were great! I would probably come try them again due to the closeness of my job. But unfortunately they aren't my top taco spot. read more

I've heard a lot of great things about Tacos Del Norte so we came in a tried a couple of tacos. They didn't disappoint! Don't let the "inside the Ducky's or gas station" deter you. The tacos are worth it and you can take to go or they have a couple of tables for seating. The staff is nice and the tacos are made to order. Those homemade tamales were my favorite. The birria pizza is perfect for our family to enjoy as well!

The staff/cashier were really friendly and recommended us a couple things from the menu. Tacos were alright, I got pastor tacos and asada. To be honest these were more like weird pastor tacos, they had flavor but I just didn't enjoy them. Inside a gas station. Got tacos for the fam. Like Dom Toretto said, "family first". Tortillas taste good. You know they good by the smell. Good texture and softness. Meats were descent. Only one that stood out for me was the barbacoa. And pineapples r mixed with the asada, u don't see that everyday like me holding on to a girlfriend for more than 24hrs. Sauces were ok. My delivery driver called because she said the restaurant insisted I had gotten my food. I didn't. So she put an employee on the phone. Working construction in the DFW gives you the ability to try different places to eat. I have had good tacos and bad tacos. I can say with confidence that this place is Amazing!
