The was delicious and fresh. I love how they have lots of plants all over inside. They also have a variety of drinks and desserts.

We were told the chorizo was great and the queso was a must-get. While I opted for carne asada and carnitas tacos, Grant ordered the chorizo burrito--which was a definite 8/10. The guacamole was super, super fresh and a really strong avocado flavor coming through more than any spices, lime, or onion. The white queso was packed with flavors and a great addition to our meal, and the salsa was one of the favorites I've had in Tulsa. It had a certain nostalgia to it as it was similar to a spot in my home town. Altogether Don Fransisco was great and is worth a repeat visit. The tacos themselves were good. The meat was flavorful and the onions and cilantro were fresh. My only critique was that it was rather dry and needed a little salsa and lime to help.

As a lover of all things Mexican food, I'm ashamed that I had not been to this place sooner. I work in that area and see it all the time, but the one thing that has always kept me away was that it's always busy, which is a really good sign! I decided to pop in at an odd hour for lunch and not surprised, it was still busy which really excited me. Tacos don't Francisco is a great place for that authentic style you are looking for and with great prices! I ended up getting an asada (steak) quesadilla and a lengua (beef tongue) taco. When I got my quesadilla, I was surprised that there were avacado and some pick inside. This made the perfect quesadilla for my liking. Of course the taco was awesome and to top it off, I had a cold glass coke bottle. If your looking for awesome Mexican food made by some awesome staff, Check this place out. Seating is limited and small, so get there when you can!

I really enjoyed the tacos at this restaurant. The tortillas had the perfect texture, and the fillings were flavorful and well-seasoned. Everything tasted fresh, making it such a great meal.

So I am going to start with a solid 3 on the tacos. The chicken was a little dry and just ok, the steak was just a little step above the line but about the same. I do highly suggest the marinated pork as that was definitely the winner! Really enjoyed that one the best. I wasn't a big fan of the hot sauce as it seemed to just be a spicy water with not much taste other than a tang. BUT their guacamole side was enough to feed an army and super fresh... I had to salt it a bit, but i'm really hoping their chips aren't usually that stale.. I will be going back to try the burrito and a few other things, but I just wanted to get a base line to see where they were and street tacos.... well... you gotta be good. Do stop by.. that burrito looked great.. can't wait till next time.

SO GOOD. Service and food were 10/10. Only 22 dollars for two meals and we left full and happy! Not only was the food great, the restaurant itself is clean and a joy to eat in. Will be coming here again... very soon.

I've never been disappointed by Tacos Don. Usually I get tacos and they've always been great but the other day I stopped in at just after 9am when I noticed they had their OPEN sign on. I did know they opened that early or that they made breakfast items. I ordered a asada and egg burrito, and it was so good. It included eggs, asada, rice, cilantro, and onions. If you want a good breakfast burrito hit them up some morning. I bet they'd appreciate the business.

I'm disappointed... my food was over cooked and quite frankly... lacked flavor. It was pretty bland. Luckily I have my own crema at home to add to it but I can see why they smother these so you can't see initially how overcooked they actually are. It wasn't until the lettuce fell off that I saw how bad these looked. This was my first time ordering from here. Probably not going to reorder again. Not only because the food was bad but also, prices are not accurate online vs when they ring up at time of pick up.

They have the meats! , Chorizio, Pastor, Lengua, Chabaza, Carnitas.

Tacos Don Francisco is an honest to goodness taqueria that specializes churning out some amazing meat centric dishes. Its got all the usual suspects on the menu, your burritos, quesadilla's, tamale's,enchelad's and they are all good but its the street tacos that I keep coming back. I will throw in an order of pork tamale or gordita in my order, Quick heads up the gorditas are about 2 1/2 tacos so don't interchange them on a 1:1 ratio (not confirming or denying I did this). I like how some the meats have a nice crispy sears that locks in flavor and adds a nice crispy texture, the best example of this on the chorizo and buche. I think I have eaten my way through most of the menu and while I like the Tamale and the burritos most visits, I end up just loading up on the tacos although getting a steak burrito for later is never a bad idea. The chili's are there to bring the heat I like the flavors of the tacos and most times I save mine for after the meal, the sauce they place on the tacos work well at cutting the fat from the meat when you add a good helping of the lime juice. All Taco Don's is a special place and it shows by its loyal following!

I was very surprised at how busy this place was at like 9pm. I wrongly figured that because it was late that it could be a quick and easy in and out meal, but no... the place was literally full of people- And that's a true sign that this place really is great! Because there were so many people (and I honestly think the lady in front of me ordered pretty much their entire menu) the wait was pretty long... much longer than I was planning for. I think we waited more than 30 minutes, which is a lot for a place like this, you can of expected it to be a fairly quick thing. However, I feel like that was more or less a fluke because of how many people at that particular time and again because of the very very large order right before ours, and also yeah it was a Friday night so that probably didn't help either. So the big moral of this update is lesson learned: not necessarily the place (for me, at least) to go for a super late Friday night dinner! But hey, the food was still great. This time I got two tacos. I wanted one pork and one chicken but they were out of the pork so I just got two chicken instead. As usual they were very flavorful! Would definitely that order again! Ordered the chips and queso again too, and that seemed even better than last time. And I really still can't get over how insanely great the prices are... I spent less than $5 on mine!!!!! Love it and can't wait to keep trying more menu items :)

Can't go wrong with this place... and let's be real, street tacos!??!?!!? Again, you can't go wrong. We were indecisive of to what we wanted for dinner and Dons really came through. Prices have gone up a little bit but I don't mind it at all. Every taco was made to order, fresh and filled with the protein of our choice. Delicious. They carry a variety options of drinks and homemade jicama juice and horchata.

4 beef tacos and one pastor. Then a beef Gordita. Sooooo good

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

The menu features many Mexican food favorites. Enchiladas, burritos, tacos and more. They're cooked well and served in large portions by a helpful server. A note - some of the dishes are plain and include a protein charge. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm okay with it if it's explained. I was confused during my visit because my enchiladas listed a $2.50 protein charge, but the protein charge was for each enchilada not the plate, so my three enchilada plate was $7.50 more than it was listed because I asked for chicken. I don't necessarily feel cheated, however I was surprised when the server gave me the bill. $2.50 is one thing. $7.50 is a lot more.

I've heard of the highly lauded 918 Maples Tacos & Cantina many times since I moved back so I finally decided to try it on August 28th, 2025. Since then, I've experienced 918 Maples on different occasions and I'd say that it deserves the high praise. I've eaten at 918 Maples atleast 4 times, twice at the food truck (4931 S Union Ave.) and twice at this location. On 8/28, I arrived around 5:50pm. The walls are filled with color & different decorations, from murals to Latin-American art as well as TV's behind the bar for entertainment. The area is very home-like, compact, with just enough space for walking lanes. There's only one booth while the rest of the seating is either tables or at the bar. The host podium is at the door immediately upon entrance, I sat at the bar. Their menus are large but not overwhelming. On Tuesdays, tacos are $2 each. This doesn't include Birria, fish or Shrimp which are $3 or $4 on Tuesdays. My server was Diego, great guy! I ordered 5 Tacos: 2 Birria, 1 chicken 1 Carne Asada and 1 El Pastor. I also ordered a Paloma and a small queso. The meal comes with chips & Salsa, brought out immediately. Their chips are thicker and their salsa is mild. Add a little salt, good to go! I'm a fan of white queso but I particularly enjoyed theirs, worth the $2. The food came out within 10mins, not long at all. Two ramekins of salsa & 4 tacos. Each taco was amazing individually. The el pastor had crispy edges on the meat, the carne asada was soft & delicate while the birria was to DIE for. Only criticism is that the chicken was a little too salty but not terrible overall. As I mentioned, I ordered 5 tacos, queso & a Paloma but only received 4 tacos. I wasn't upset about the paloma, I could do without. But, I was a little uneasy about being shorted 1 taco, especially since I paid for 5. However, I didn't fret. I paid the bill & praised the staff because they deserve it! Since then, I've returned once or twice. Each time, usually on a Tuesday, the space is decently filled which a sign of a well-run & good quality establishment and the food is just as good. I consistently ordered tacos but I would gladly try their Queso Chicken, Rustic Quesadilla, or Birria Pizza. I've had their tacos at their food truck as well and, though the ambiance isn't comparable, the service is sweeter & the food is just as good. Bummer that their food truck doesn't do discounted tacos on Tuesdays. Photos here are from 8/26/25, 9/16/25 and 1/6/26. Had it not been for the forgotten taco, this would be a FULL 5-Star review!
