The food was very good. But street tacos and one beef enchilada and a crispy beef taco with beans and rice off the lunch menu should not cost $32. They should provide queso and tortillas with the chips and salsa. But a small queso is eight dollars. Three flour tortillas are four dollars. The pricing at this restaurant is way too expensive for lunch. They do not offer lunch combo platters. You pay for every single item that you order. It's not a good value for the customer. I have lived right across from this restaurant for 2 years and finally last week, my move day, I had to try before I move a bit far from Glenpool Boy was I glad to have had the opportunity ! I stopped in here today based on the yelp reviews. The service was awesome. Everyone was kind, and the server made sure we had everything we needed. the atmosphere was okay. However, the food was atrocious. The queso (we tried both varieties) was obviously out of a can. Think nacho cheese from a ballpark for the yellow. The chimichanga my wife had was incredibly bland and obviously from frozen, while her rice tastes like Uncle Ben's. We continue returning to this excellent Mexican restaurant. Truly a hidden gem. My new favorite is the Carne Asada burrito. What a great eat it is. Wonderful flavor and value for the money. We're always inquiring of local, restaurant favorites and Speedy's was on our list of referrals. They're located in Glenpool and open Mon-Sat from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. There's ample parking, inside dining with booths and tables and an outdoor patio. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated right away and within minutes our drink and food order was taken. See my food pics below; the food tasted as good as it looks! The fajitas were loaded with shrimp, steak, and chicken. And the side corn was the best seasoned corn I've ever eaten! They also offer adult beverages. Second time here. Greeted and seated very quickly. Waitress quick to come by with chips and salsa and get drink order and soon they were at our table. Gave us a few minutes to view menu. My husband ordered chicken with lots of veggies and pineapple. I ordered carnitas. Food out quickly. All just as we ordered. I had a lot of carnitas. And it was good and hot! Love the food at Speedy's! I've been there many many times over the years and never had a bad meal. It gets busy sometimes and loud, but a lot of restaurants are. Busy but seated right away. Our waiter was a young man we've had twice and he is great, very warm and professional. Chips are some of the best and the food came just as we finished our salsa. They have the best salsa and queso around! I also love their chicken enchiladas and fish tacos.

I ordered cheese enchiladas. When they came to the table it was tortillas wrapped in shredded cheese. I sent it back to get an new order that was actually cooked. They brought me back the same plate I had already started to eat off of with the cut off end of the enchilada I used to show them how raw it was!!!! I will say that I have tried to go to Speedy's on a few occasions when they were supposed to be open and they were closed or closing the kitchen early. That is not fun, but their food is really good and their service is fantastic. I have never been there when the food wasn't good and the servers weren't extremely polite and helpful. For example, I am currently sitting at Speedy's after getting fat on a a la carte fish taco and the El Capitan. The fish taco doesn't come with cabbage or cheese but the fish is delicious. The El Capitan is a beef burrito with delicious queso, a tamale and a beef enchilada. You will eat every little bit on your plate. I personally like Los Cabos more but you can add 40% to your Speedy's bill and that is what Los Cabos charges. read more

Big Red and Migas is a game changer...now back to the food. The complaint I have with the food is consistency, while it is always good, sometimes it's slightly different. It may be an olive here or a guacamole there, but it is slightly different at times. However the food is always good. Good enough that you want to come back. The atmosphere is good, outdoors is adequate when it's nice, the covered patio and bar is nice also, can be cold inside though. They close early on Sunday afternoons. Pros: The service-we were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive throughout the night. My husband really enjoyed his carne asada burrito. The food here is pretty decent. I've been several times but lately the service is getting worse and worse. Our waiter never gave us refills and after we asked him for a straw for my 3 year old I watched him go to the back, fix himself a drink and chat with coworkers. I understand accidentally forgetting something, but he did this every time we asked for something. We had to get the manager to refill our drinks and ended up even having to get another waitress to bring us our check because this guy was too busy socializing with his coworkers to care about provided halfway decent service. The sad thing is, that this wasn't the first time we received poor service. It use to be great but lately it seems like none of the wait staff actually want to work. I'm just going to tell you, I do not like Mexican food at all. I never have, until 2014. We went to Jalisco for my daughter's graduation, and we found this ultra tiny place on the beach that had the best Mexican dish I've ever eaten in my life. So it's gonna be pretty hard to get me to love an Americanized version of what I had that day. Speedy's did it! I am extremely skeptical of all Mexican restaurants in the US, and Speedy's was no different. I ordered Tacos el Pastor expecting the typical, "They have no idea what the hell they're doing when it come to authentic Mexican food" I was SO wrong!! Everything we ate here, from the chips and white queso to the Tacos el Pastor were just phenomenal to me, for US Mexican. I doubt I'll ever love another US Mexican restaurant like I love Speedy's.
