Great food. I recommend the Alambres -- so so good. It's a new craving, same as their house made salsas.

I just throw in some beans and rice and lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. I mean, who puts lettuce in a quesadilla? To top it off, there was no silverware or napkins in my to go order. The taste is OK.

I'm still all about the chile relleno burrito so the last time we went I ordered one with carne asada and it was literally the burrito of my dreams. This time when we went inside I noticed a hand written sign above the cash register that said "The Raliberto" which was basically my chile relleno burrito plus carne asada, so I ordered it. I cut it in half, took a picture this time and noticed it wasn't the same, it had cheddar cheese instead of that delicious white cheese the relleno comes with, and I don't think the poblano was battered and fried, it was just a plain pepper that was stuffed with cheese- it was still very tasty just not the burrito of my dreams. I'm thinking since it was a special, they may have run out of the regular rellenos or perhaps they were cutting costs but next time I'll just stick with the regular chile relleno burrito. We also picked up an order of their other special, carne asada rolled tacos, which definitely don't need the added carne asada because guacamole is all them tasty suckers need but we snarfed it all down. I don't know when we'll be driving through again but this is a really solid spot that I'll always think of fondly.

Delicious Homemade Mexican Food--The Perfect Post-Hike Meal!…read more We came here for dinner after a long day of hiking in the redwoods and were so glad we did, as the food was incredibly tasty and satisfying. Oaxaca Grill is a wonderful, family-run restaurant in downtown Eureka, operated by the parents, Carmen and Tony, and their daughter, Yuri. Carmen is the main chef, and you can truly taste the care she puts into making amazing homemade Mexican food. The ambiance is casual and cozy. We were traveling as two families and easily found tables on a Tuesday evening for an early dinner. The main dishes completely hit the spot: * Garlicky Soft Prawn Tacos: My wife ordered these, which were served with sautéed onions, fresh garlic, and the most amazing, flavorful mango salsa on the side. * Spicy Oaxaca Chicken Mole: I got this special dish, which featured a tender chicken breast topped with authentic, spicy Oaxacan mole. This mole is savory, rich, and incredibly flavorful, made from thirty imported Oaxacan ingredients. It came served with yummy rice and beans. * Prawn Soft Tacos: We also ordered these, and they were fantastic, paired with a crisp jicama coleslaw. * Kids' Dishes: Our children ordered from the children's plate options. My son got the chicken enchiladas, which came with fries and beans, and he absolutely loved it. My daughter had the cheese and bean burrito, which she really enjoyed as well. * Desserts: To wrap up the meal, we tried the coconut flan and the crème brûlée. Both were a sweet end to the night, and the crème brûlée in particular was absolutely amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic, comforting dining experience with wonderful hospitality. If you are in downtown Eureka, this family-run spot is highly recommended!

My husband has ordered a ton of stuff off the menu and enjoyed it all. The guacamole and the salsas are all good and the lettuce is always crunchy and fresh. Good rice and beans, too. The woman who usually takes our order is very nice and remembers us. If I forget to ask for extra salsa verde on my tacos, she will always ask if I want some. Really good customer service. Prices are unbeatable for the quality of food you get and I can feed my family without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

A Chorizo Revelation at Patino's: My First Food Truck Adventure…read more You ever have one of those hunger pangs that sneak up on you like a surprise attack? That was me, driving home, stomach making questionable noises, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw it--Patino's Mexican Food. A little food truck, parked like a hidden gem, just waiting to be discovered. Now, here's the thing: I had never stopped at a food truck before. Not once. But something about this one--maybe it was fate, maybe it was hunger-induced bravery--made me pull over. "Alright, let's do this." I walked up, scanned the menu, and like any self-respecting fan of Mexican food, I zeroed in on my personal favorite: chorizo street tacos. Three of them. Because one? Not enough. Two? A warm-up. Three? Now we're talking. They handed me a pager, and within 10 minutes--before I could even contemplate my life choices--I had my hands on a cup of homemade horchata (which, let's be honest, is like the nectar of the gods) and my three glorious tacos. Now, I had to document this moment properly...

The day I was there one lady was working both the store and the taco truck. It took a few minutes for her to come out. I ordered two tacos, a Carnitas, and a lengua. (Tongue). There was a small upcharge for the Lengua. For "street tacos", they were huge! Both the Carnitas and the lengua had very decent portions, and they were both tender and delicious. The tacos also came with a pico de gallo that was delicious, and was not very spicy. You can also get spicy hot sauce on it if you want instead of the pico. It was about eight bucks out the door. When I first paid, I thought that was a bit expensive. But then when I saw what I was getting? It was well worth it. I will be back. Thank you.

My husband ordered Al pastor tacos and WTH it had hardly any meat and was filled with beans and rice. UMmm this was around 12 no other customers so didn't really understand why the meat was lacking in our food. Service is sketchy the pricing seemed overinflated and we never received a receipt. 40 dollars for a burrito and 2 tacos. We were better off eating at chipotle. Go with it first thought and just pass. The bakery smells great when you walk inside but the pan dulce is hard and dry. I really wanted to love this place sadly left confused.
