Went to one of their food trucks on Friday night markets in Eureka. Ordered their asada fries and what I got was a complete mess. Not only was the guacamole a thin goopy liquid (common here in humboldt) but the fries were crinkle cut and soggy af. They were most likely microwaved. Los Giles is one of the best places to order Mexican food in Arcata. Considering that Arcata's interpretation of "Mexican food" is something with a lot of cheese, no spice, and no flavor, Los Giles is basically a Godsend to this community. Everything I've ordered from them has been tasty, well-portioned, and a great deal for the price. In addition to serving Arcata during the night hours, they also cater events and are a popular food vender at Humboldt County fairs and festivals. I've been very pleased with how professional the workers are, and with how quickly I get my food after I order. Additionally, I must add that many Mexican food venders who cater to the night-time, bar-goer population really bank on the fact that you'll be too drunk to care about your food, but I'm happy to say that Los Giles' food tastes great sober too. I also ordered a super chicken burrito We asked if the chicken was chicken breast meat and they said yes. It was not chicken breast but rather chewy chicken parts. I was visiting a friend in Arcata and after a late night full of live funk music, we were hungry and ready to chow down. Thank goodness my friend was an expert on tracking down this food truck! We arrived around 2 in the morning on a Friday night and while there were other patrons around, there wasn't a line. Thank goodness, we were seriously starving! A super friendly gentleman took my order and seemed to know my friend. They had a nice little exchange and it was clear that this food truck has some regular customers. I ordered a cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and my friend got a few tacos. The food came out fast and super-hot. I was shocked by the portion size and the cheap prices. This is seriously every drunk person's dream come true! I met my friends and we got our grub on. Everyone took a piece of quesadilla and it was the perfect way to soak up some of the booze we consumed earlier in the night. So cheesy! read more

I hired them in January 2022 for my wedding 9/10/22 and they bailed 10 DAYS before my reception. I found out they took the truck to the George Lopez show. They offered me a taco bar instead. Yes they provided some food for my event, but it was tasteless. I am extremely disappointed in their business ethics. I also did not appreciate the short notice as I couldn't make other arrangements. They also packed up and left without telling us. I still had guests that wanted food. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. They have lost me as a customer. I do not recommend them. read more

You can tell immediately when a food truck is legit. This is a perfect food truck. If you like meat and cheese, this is your sign: order a steak quesadilla. You will thank me. I work in food service generally I think yelp reviews don't give justice to the people working. Seriously, not this time. I waited 45 minutes just to order. At a certain point I decided to stay just because I would have felt like I lost just by leaving. The whole time people were cutting by going around the back, the owner was pouring shots of tequila for girls who looked 18 or 19, and by the time I ordered the truck was so full of people the staff couldn't move. There were people literally hanging off the staff while on the line. It was totally inappropriate. Almost an hour for a mediocre asada burrito? Don't bother. We stopped in this town for a night while driving the coast and this place ROCKED OUR WORLD. The pastor is incredible and the salsa on top of the tacos is a mild green sweet salsa, amazing. My husband had the California burrito el pastor and it weighed what seemed to be 10 lbs and was only $10 with a ton of meat.
