Delicious! We tried the nachos and the tacos (and the…read moremargaritas) The nachos had tons of toppings and my day, even brought part of it home to reheat in the air fryer. It was a good midnight snack. I got the Barbacoa taco and shrimp taco. Both had tons of flavor, and two was plenty for dinner. The margaritas were excellent! Since you order at the counter, we didn't have a ton of experience with the staff, but everyone seemed friendly and the shop is well maintained We did eat inside, and there were definitely people outside, taking advantage of the patio

It gave an option for dining with a group of people or simply dining alone. We arrived around 1pm on a week day, so just after the lunch rush which was perfect. The food was made fresh, I've always wanted to try the barria taco but no one seems to offer anything but a beef option. And finally, I found a chicken one. It was Delish !! Now I couldn't dip in the au just because it was beef but I appreciate having the option. The Mexican rice was light and flavorful. The queso was good however it stiffened up pretty quickly, just in case you feel the anxiety of choosing between. Your appetizer and the main costs course. Over all, a great experience for a late afternoon lunch. Check out it when your craving tacos, I don't think you'll be disappointment.

I've been here a few times with my office mates. They are all very into Mexican. Living in South…read moreFlorida influenced me to learn much more about Latin foods which are much more diverse than Mexican. I've had a very hard time finding much Latin diversity here so far but for Mexican this is quite good. I've mostly gotten combo platters because I like the variety. I believe every combo platter should come with rice and beans. I can tell how authentic a place is by the beans and salsa quite often. So far I've liked the combo platters and the taco salad that I tried. Again, if I remember correctly, I had to pay extra to get beans on my taco salad. That would be one complaint I have. Beans should be a staple and come with everything unless the person doesn't want them. The service has been good. No complaints and it's been busy when we've eaten there usually during lunch hours. The decor and ambiance is pretty typical Mexican. Nothing fancy. The one thing I will note is I didn't see any Mexicans working there. Maybe someone in the kitchen I can't see so that's usually not a great sign. I know they've been around a long time. I'd probably go a smidge lower to 3.5 if I could just because I'm rather picky about Mexican and Latin food but I don't think it's fair to go down to 3 so I'm rounding up. The prices seem a bit high but everything is so expensive in 2026! They are probably pretty average for eating out and I'm sure it's costing them more just like all the rest of us have seen food prices sky rocket over the past year. I would certainly recommend them for a lunch bite and a nice Mexican American experience.

If I ever give food suggestions, one thing for sure is that I'm never going to recommend Mexican…read more Nothing against Mexican food but I am just a firm believer that Mexican dishes all taste similar.. anyway! This has become my #1 taco spot in KC and if you are looking for authentic street tacos, come here! My mom wanted to stop by since this taco spot recently opened up a seated area so instead of ordering at their "pick up" window, you can finally eat here. Now this taco place is in a rougher neighborhood but I feel like with some of the best places in town, you kinda have to venture out. If you do not feel comfortable driving here, opt for just ordering to go. I ordered the classic asada (steak) burrito so I can compare it to most Mexican spots here in KC and I would have to say that this place takes the number one spot for tacos and burritos. The burrito is packed with onion, cilantro, your choice of meat, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, rice, and beans.. and these burritos are massive! I was only able to eat one half of mine. I took a bite of the burrito and was throughly impressed, I feel as though a lot of places tend to be pretty greasy but this place gets it right. The varieties of salsa that are offered are also very very good. (Green salsa was my favorite) Honorable mention goes to the Horchata beverage I had. (Not overly sweet, hit the spot). The service here is super quick, only took about 5 minutes to get our food and there isn't a whole lot of staff here. Ambiance is... fine. But I care much more about the quality of the food rather than the ambiance. *This place is CASH only!! *Street parking is pretty much what you'll need to settle for. *Order to go if you do not feel comfortable visiting this part of town.

The food is always good and the service is also good. Nice fast service cooked to orderread more
