This much-ballyhooed taco spot--celebrated for its Mexicali-style street food and high-quality, freshly prepared meats--has made me a believer, too. I finally found a taco truck that can stand alongside some of the better ones I used to frequent in Los Angeles and Orange County. That might be thanks to the owners' LA roots, where tacos are a culinary cornerstone and competition is fierce. Trucks there must stand out with exceptional ingredients, careful preparation, and bold yet balanced flavor. This place clearly carries that same spirit. While not everything will be a guaranteed hit for every person, I have tried enough to give an honest, well-rounded review--and what I have had so far, I genuinely enjoyed. My order included tacos with al pastor (marinated pork), chorizo, tripas (tripe), costillas de puerco (pork ribs), and an agua fresca de piña to wash it all down. Across the board, the meats had vibrant color, a firm and juicy texture, and clean flavor. The freshness and quality were immediately noticeable. I also appreciated that nothing was overly seasoned. They let the natural character of their top-tier meats shine while relying on simple, complementary ingredients--house-made salsas, onions, and aromatics--to enhance rather than overpower. Their self-serve salsa bar reinforces that philosophy. It is well stocked with salsas of varying heat and flavor profiles, pureed guacamole, grilled onions, cilantro, diced onions, radishes, pickled red onions, lime wedges, jalapeños, and all the essentials for personalizing your plate. It's a fun, customizable experience that lets each person adjust seasoning and brightness to their liking. And if it could not get any better, they make their own corn tortillas--and generously stuff them. The tortillas were soft, pliable, slightly chewy, and wonderfully aromatic, with a roasted-corn flavor that instantly elevates the tacos. If I had to pick favorites, I would highlight the crunchy, savory tripas and the tender, smoky costillas de puerco. Both pair beautifully with pickled red onions, whose sharp, tangy acidity cuts through the richness and brings everything into balance. Their menu of premium meats is surprisingly expansive--arrachera, costillas de res, sirloin, shrimp, octopus, champiñones, and tripas. They even offer a prime selection (ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, picanha) and a couple of ultra-premium options like tomahawk steak and lobster. Impressive as it is, I will stick with the more traditional cuts; I personally cannot justify spending over $3 on a street-style taco. What keeps me excited to return is the variety, the customizable salsa bar, the high-quality meats, the freshly made tortillas, and the commitment to authentic flavor and traditional technique. The long lines and the hype? They are justified. This taco truck delivers.

    Tacos asada, chicken and pastor

This is the new "It" taco truck and overall it was pretty good. We got asada, pastor, and chicken tacos and all three were good. I think in terms of flavor we liked the pastor the most, the chicken second and the asada third, but it was all good. We got there right at 5 but there was already a line. Parking was rough but we got parking in the tiny lot. It's harrowing to park though. Very tight and people are double parked weirdly. When we ordered there was another fairly long wait and not clear why. They just put meat on (some very nice) tortillas and you do the rest. So you have to dress up your own tacos with the various salsas etc which are just sitting out in the open air in huge open containers. I usually don't get the "ick" in these settings -- it's not fine dining and it's not going to be the cleanest, eating out of a truck -- but for some reason the set up, the huge open containers, did give me the slight "ick" -- maybe if they were smaller containers being refilled, or if there were fewer flies flying around. Nevertheless, we topped our tacos with that stuff and it was pretty delicious. The portions are generous and the food is not expensive. I also got an horchata and enjoyed that. If I had any advice, it would be to serve the tacos faster, which would help with the lines and parking -- although I know it's probably good for business to look like you have a huge crowd at all times! -- and serve the toppings in smaller refillable containers -- or just top the tacos for the customers like a lot of trucks do. It's nice to be able to choose what to put on your taco, but having the trucks do it seems to work a lot better?

I heard of this taco truck on Tik Tok, they opened on August 16. There have been multiple businesses previously at this location. I hope this one stays for a long time because the food is literally scrumptious! They are open Wednesdays - Sundays from 5pm to 1am for now. We arrived around 10pm and there was a long line. People were ordering piles of plates. I knew I was in the right spot. We ordered 3 regular corn tortilla tacos, 3 flour tortilla tacos, a burrito, and a quesadilla. Everything was delicious and loaded with meat, but my favorite were the big flour tortilla tacos - like making a big taco in my grandmother's kitchen. They have a big operation taking up the parking lot with multiple grills going at the same time for the different meats they make. There is a full salsa and toppings bar that there were constantly refilling. There was upbeat music playing the whole time, it's a total vibe that you must check out!!

So... first thing is this place opened at 5pm for taco Tuesday. I was here in line at 4:55... their tickets today started at number 5. I got #18... so I'm the thirteenth order for the day. It is now 6pm and they just served order 10. If you wonder why there is always a line, it's because they don't push food out. I hope this is worth it, because my go to spot i would have been in and out within 10 mins tops... will add once im finally served... okay. Back 1 hour 10 min wait. Not really impressed. The salsas are good. Meats were dry. I'd rather go to my usual spots. It was taco Tuesday and $2 tacos, i guess food saving grace. I think they have a prime location for eyes to see. But imo trucks in the skits of town are the real ones because people that know the bomb tacos are out there, are the clientele. Take this review and the photos for what you will.

I live near by and it's always poppin! I must say, you do need to be patient when deciding to try em. Parking can be tough. It's a very small lot that circles around. So if you don't make it the first round, go in again lol. There are no portable restrooms which I feel with how busy it gets it almost needs one. Area is lit up and tables and chairs set up outside. Ok, now that's out of the way, let's talk about what we really wanna know... the food! They have separate stations outside where they cook their meats. They even make homemade tortillas. We an asada quesadilla, asada tacos, asada burrito, Al pastor tacos and Al pastor burrito. They were all pretty massive in size! The chop of the asada was into big pieces, very tender and the al pastor was FIRE! Quesadilla we were able to share as a family! They have a salsa station outside with 2 different reds, a green, avocado salsa, pickled red onions, onions, cilantro, lemon, and jalapeños. They were all pretty delicious. Prices are VERY good when compared to the portions. I'd definitely say we will be returning.

This is by far the most disappointing taco my lips have touched in the last 8 years. I really don't mean to bash someone's buisness but it was honestly that awful. I waited in line for 20 min excited as can be, paid 36$ for 7 tacos and 1 mulita. The meats had zero flavor, no seasoning and the salsas were not good enough to save the tacos. Overall not good whatever so ever, i can think of 10 other places I would rather go to

Super fast service and the food was made fresh. Fresh homemade tortillas, the salsas had a good flavor and a nice kick although I didn't care so much for the green salsa. I got their al pastor which was bomb and the ribs also bomb. Sadly they ran out of asada but I'm gonna assume that is also bomb. I did get their tripas tacos which was good but you gotta eat that fresh before it gets too chewy. You can get it crispy as well but I chose to get it slightly crispy because I don't like it when it's too crunchy. Would definitely go back to try it again.

Plain ass tacos... usually you gotta ask the truck for plain tacos.

This place sucks so bad. First time coming here. Drove from Clovis all the way here. Where to start??? My god. Husband wanted a torta. Was told they don't have cheese...... Feel bad for people that want a quesadilla, torta, mulita, etc. they should just advertise "plain tacos only". the drink menu said they had coke, guess what they didn't have that either. They only had one flavor of Jarritos. Overheard another customer ask for cilantro, they didn't have any. Got my tacos and they were literally just meat and tortilla. Asked for grilled onions- NONE. Had to ask for lime. Never been to a taco truck this terrible. I'll never come back and never recommend this place. I had high expectations. I'm truly disappointed!

I would give this zero stars. I was in high hopes as they use to be one of my fav taco spots. My meat was cold. The lady that took our order was extremely rude. She gave us a warm Coke to drink when we asked for ice she said they don't have any yet was giving ice in the horchata. The Al pastor tasted nothing like the taco truck. The floors were dirty and it was very hot in there. I won't be returning.

Disappointed. Thought It would be fire because it was on the news and every time we drive by there's a long line. Wait was 1.5hrs total (Sunday 5:30p) we were just excited to see what the hype was about. They forgot 4 of our tacos but we were already home. We tried asada, adobado, and el pastor. The only good one was asada 8/10. Taco truck in the hood are just as tasty. It's almost like they take a long time purposely so the line stays long - smart business tactic. I would only stop here again if the line wasn't so long. It's decent but not worth the wait. I talked to a few friends and apparently everyone had similar experiences - either forgotten food or they agree taco trucks in the hood are just as tasty. Sad because i live in bullard area near this taco truck but I would rather drive further. I wished it was worth the long line so i don't have to drive to the other side of town.

First bite of "Al pastor" burrito. Just beans.

finally tried this place after seeing all the advertising & i can genuinely say this was a huge let down. we visited on a Saturday night at around 8pm & it wasn't busy at all. walking up we see a menu with very limited meat options. we order an AL PASTOR burrito, 2 tacos de ASADA, 2 tacos de AL PASTOR & an HORCHATA. Tacos are $3 which is ur average taco price & burritos were $13 for meat, beans & rice . first warning sign was the amount of teens running the place. about 7 kids were lingering inside the truck. the truck was rocking from all the movement which was concerning. we took our food to go & helped ourselves to the self serve condiments. Now for the food. as aforementioned, the tacos were supposed to be AL PASTOR & ASADA. we received all ASADA ??? unless the AL PASTOR & ASADA are supposed to look identical. meat was salty & nothing special really. tortillas gave store bought & not hand made like they advertise. the first bite of the burrito was all bean. finally reached the meat & surprise! more ASADA. we ordered an AL PASTOR burrito. salty, mediocre, & disappointing. threw away more than half of the burrito, the taste wasn't appetizing at all. & to top it off the horchata tasted like the powder kind you buy at the store. won't come back & can confirm that the place is definitely overhyped. the efforts they put into their advertising should go towards bettering their food. if you want good tacos visit El Taco Macho, Tuesday-Friday, 7pm-11pm on Ashlan & Marks. Those are truly bomb.com.

I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. They keep the tables clean... but, there are a lot of flies buzzing around the windows. We had to battle with one very persistent/pesky fly trying to get our food. It's a shame because that definitely docks a point, sorry. Tacos were good, not the best I've ever had though. I know Asada may be a basic meat choice but we've had some damn good Asada... they missed the mark. Also, I hope they find a way to resolve the fly issue. With that said-- I've gotta put them in the middle.
