We had a hard time finding it at first, but it's located in the parking lot of South Union Mini Mart. There's a lot of different taco trucks on Union, so make sure you don't pass this one up. She had a nice warm personality so you feel welcomed when you visit. The owner, I didn't catch his name but he's literally cooking the food in the back. He's super friendly and also made us feel welcomed. Even though they are wayyyy out there on Union, they are the reason why people want to come back. Yes, food can be good at places, but if you have a good heart and personality then people can tell you're genuine. The first time we visited we were overwhelmed because we wanted to try EVERYTHING, I don't know what's my favorite item yet, but I'll let you guys know when I find out. Don't sleep on Taqueria El Jalisciense! I'm not a big fan of chicken tacos and I even loved those and I would get it again. What I got were tiny, over-charred crumbs rather than the flavorful juicy meat I usually enjoy. The avocado topping was also about a quarter of the amount normally served. I almost couldn't see it on the second taco. I actually rolled the tacos up, and they looked more like barely filled taquitos than tacos. I'm genuinely confused about what's changed because these have always been my favorite tacos. I've given them several chances, hoping things would improve, but I think this may be my last visit.
