I'm a foodie guy so I love trying different taco spots. I seen this place on social media so I had to try it out. I ordered two asada tacos, carnitas, a loaded asada papa, and a pineapple with chamoy . The meat had good flavor but the meat was really greasy. The Fresca was watered down. The papa was good. Lots of free condiments to add on, the salsa's were fire. The service was ok. I would come here again but not for my taco Tuesday. read more

First time trying Ericks tacos, we went to the Airport Drive location. This place has the best tacos in Bakersfield. I see that on Wednesdays they sell their tacos for $1, I paid full price for mine (2.50) and I do not regret it for a moment. The corn tortilla is hand made right in front of you, the meat is cooked to perfection and the salsas are so flavorful I wanted them all. The pinapple on the pastor taco deserves a million stars. The lady taking our order was so sweet and the line moved really quick. We tipped 7.00 on our 50.00 order and she was so suprised (people please tip,especially this place. They are doing the Lords work here!) You can see your order being made right in front of you and it all looks so delicious. The menu has many options to choose from, today we chose tacos but im sure we're coming back for more tacos and to try other things. This is an outdoor venue, this particular one is in the parking lot of a local bar. There is plenty of tables, including a couple of water misters for hot days. Today was way over 100 degrees so it made the wait a bit more bearable. Because of the heat we chose to take it to go but on a nicer day I think id rather eat there. read more

THE BEST tacos in Bakersfield. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Every meat, every menu item, even the agua frescas, all top tier. They load you up with meat that are all cleverly seasoned and prepared. Asada has smokey taste to it that I think some places lack. Pastor has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy . Buche is savory and doesn't feel like you're even eating offal. Everything is loaded up! The loaded potato has about a 1/2" lb of meat or more. The quesadillas are plump! Meat almost falls out. Sauces and other accompaniments are self serve and you can get as much as you want. Their chipotle salsa is spicy but damn is it good. They even have spicy onions that I never see. While you wait for your meal and watch the taquero at work, they have beans, tostadas, nopal, grilled onions and jalapenos all just sitting there FOR FREE. They also have some tiny potatoes soaking in the meat juices if you're lucky enough that they haven't run out (also for free!). The experience is just so customer forward and this is a gem that I hope expands even more. They have deals every week from buy one get one tortas, $1 tacos at a certain day at each location. It's often they have a line so consider yourself blessed if there isn't. read more

Probably my fav tacos in bako. The tacos de pastor are so tasty and the piece of pineapple . The beans, tostadas, salsas, and other condiments make the already good tacos even better. Stopped by the Stockdale location! So far these have been the best tacos i've had in town! The Al Pastor from the trompon are my favorite! This is also a really great location with lots of parking. Just a heads up they only take cash, apple pay and zelle. I'll be going back to try the Lengua, Suadero and chorizo next and will provide an update. The asada was nice char but little over smokey(almost as if they threw in liquid smoke). Tripas where soft and tender and crispy the way I like them and the Al pastor was a knock out to finish it off the tortillas where made fresh there! read more

This review is for Erick's tacos on morning drive and Nile's st. Since they've started selling tacos we were very impressed with the food and service. Today we suffered our first disappointment. Tripa tacos were mediocre and plain with hardly any meat. Hence why we quit going to El Buen Pastor. I also ordered some pastor tacos and they were lame and small and plain. What happened guy? You guys were the best in Bakersfield. Now I'll have to look for another place to spend my money in. This really saddens me. The location is ok and ambiance was absent. Late night, forgot to eat around dinner and suddenly it's 11:30pm and I'm hungry. I search up spots that are open & find Ericks. I'm pumped. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla, asada tacos, a loaded potato, and a BRC burrito. Not all for me- don't judge. The food was just ok. My loaded potato was nothing near the decadence of the potatoes served up at swap meet. Not even close. It had too much cheese & the toppings didn't have any balance of freshness. It was a muddy mess and even after adding my own avocado, I felt too guilty eating it and left it alone. The quesadilla I can't complain about but it was basic and I can't praise it either. The tacos were just ok. We had to add our own toppings that were in buckets on a table to the side. I prefer them to come already put together. Anyway.. I wasn't too impressed. 5/10. read more

Erick's Street Tacos in Bakersfield is one of the best tacos I have ever had. I came here late at night, around 11:00 PM, and they were here. Parked our car on the side and got in line. There were already people enjoying their order and also just hanging out. We took our to-go and ate in the hotel. It was close by, and also the asada was great! The salsa was extra spicy, especially the orange one! We also got an asada quesadilla, and that was also good. The green sauce is amazing, and if you do come, get that! A solid 3.5 star taco pop-up. They have the traditional trompo of marinated pork with pineapple and the boiling vat of oil and meat. Pastor was decent. Not amazing but decent. I really liked their food but I'm giving them 1 star because their was a MAGGOT in my daughters horchata. A LIVE MAGGOT that she spit out of her mouth. We were their second customers of the day that day and waited patiently while they got everything setup. We've not been back since and don't plan to. Unfortunate, for me since they are so close by. I put the maggot in a little cup and considered taking it back over to them but I never did. It wouldn't change anything. Really frustrating experience. I waited about 20 minutes just to place my order. When I finally ordered, the employee handed me number 26 even though the customer before me had number 30. I sat there waiting forever for my number to be called, but it never was. Eventually, she asked me about order 31 and repeated the tacos that were in it. I told her those weren't mine because that's not what I thought I ordered, so she offered to remake the food. I then waited another 20 minutes for the remake. When she finally handed me the order, my drink was missing even though I paid for one. She went back to check the ticket and realized she had grabbed the wrong order entirely. At that point, somehow the original order 31 that had been sitting on the counter the whole time magically turned out to actually be my order after all. So my food had apparently been sitting there getting cold while I waited another 20 minutes for a remake that shouldn't have even happened. Was recommended to try Erick's tacos this week and they did not disappoint. We went on Wednesday for $1 dollar tacos (a deal you can't beat) the service is fast and staff are nice and have fun energy. The salsas and aguas frescas are delicious but Watch out for the yellowish salsa it is SPICY! The tacos are not overly greasy which is a bonus and we enjoyed our experience overall. My only critique is the trash was near by their food tent where customers leave their trash and it did give a foul smell so maybe move the trash can farther away because it can throw off your appetite with the trash being so close to wear people order and gather their sides. read more

SO good!!! We went to the Auburn location (a dirt lot next to an apartment complex) on a Tuesday night when they were offering $1 tacos. The truck got there at 5:30 and was set up and taking orders around 6:30. It took about 20 minutes after that for us to get our food. While we weren't prepared for the wait, it went by quickly as we watched all the prep that went into it. Honestly, though? It was so worth the wait!!! They had about 10 types of meat and we tried 3 on our tacos - asada, pollo and pastor. The others were good, but we cannot recommend the pastor enough! Came with a thin slice of pineapple that added just a touch of sweetness. They also had pickled onions, radishes and cucumbers, multiple salsas and, of course, onion and cilantro. All SO good!!! We ate it in the car as there was minimal seating, but they had everything we needed to take it to go. The experience was definitely not what we were expecting. I tried the Asada Tacos one night after a Condors game. Been hearing good things about them. It's nice they're open late we went at around 11pm! Luckily there was no line! I ordered 4,tacos Asada. They came out quick! They're pretty good I wouldn't go as far as a top spot in Bakersfield but the prices @$2.50 a taco make this a must go to when in the mood for good food at an amazing price! They have a toppings bar off to the side where you can add your fav toppings, which is convenient but I can only imagine all the hands that have been in the tubs grabbing lemons and cucumbers all night! So I went to the auburn location this past weekend, I went on Friday night ordered and it started pouring they offered for other customers to wait under the tent while I had to stand outside in the rain for 20 mins before they told me my order would take 30 mins to make because the grill wouldn't heat due to rain, which i understand and left. A friend and I come by the next evening, order and everyone was so rude for no reason we were so nice, they guy cooking kept staring at my friend weird and they overcharged me.
