This my first ever Food Truck visit to a permanent location with definite set hours. I have been wanting to visit this food truck for a few months since a Yelper added it back during the summer. I called them on phone to confirm their hours and their was a bit of understanding and comprehending of our communication. But, once arrived I looked at pictures of what they have pinned up outside their food truck and they knew what I wanted. menu items ordered: Mexican coke, steak Gordita, and chicken taco. The Gordita and taco went down quickly as it was so good as I almost inhaled them without chewing. The Mexican Coke can be found at about half of all ice cream shops between Cleveland and Chattanooga. In summary, I enjoyed my first visit to a food truck and will have to try another one soon. read more

This place is a hidden gem! A food truck w a pavilion-- with heat-- is serving the best taco I've had east of the Mississippi. They have all the classic Mexican flavors and choices of meat, including tongue and cheek meat. I got the cheek tacos, and they were fantastic. After a year of searching for good tacos, I just tried **Tacos El Cuñao** on Lee Highway. I had noticed it in passing the other day and figured it looked genuine enough with its cute little aircraft hangar dining area and food truck kitchen. Ordering at the window of their truck, the mouth watering smell made me anxious to figure out what I wanted to order from their menu, which included a wide selection of authentic meats. As I ordered, the service was excellent, and I was impressed by the kind demeanor of the cooks and the hostess at the window. The food, which my family of 5 had ordered a lot of, was cooked up much faster than I had expected. After the brief wait, we got our food from the window and brought it back to sit down and eat. We were shocked by the authentic, full, and unique flavor of each dish we had ordered. From Lengua and Pollo tacos (Beef tongue and Chicken) to Asada Gorditas (steak), each meal was exquisitely cooked to tender perfection. The green salsa excellenty complimented the chicken dishes, while I prefered the red salsa with the steak. Everything we were served was excellent, and I'd highly recommend the beef tongue to anyone who has never tried (or maybe never even heard) of it before! I moved here from the California/Mexico border, and figured I'd never find Mexican food as good as what I'd become accustomed to in the southwest. However, I can confidently say that this beats most, if not everything, that I've ever had throughout the entirety of the west, and is by far and wide the best I've ever had further east than Arizona. Please, support them at 713 S. Lee Highway in Cleveland 37312! They also have a location in Chattanooga 37421, 5813 Lee Highway. This was a wonderful culinary and customer experience, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone seeking out an authentic experience as I was, as this business certainly deserves your patronage! P.S. Some of the best tacos I've ever had! Recommend getting the chicken and/or pork tacos. Fresh made corn tortillas and make sure you ask for the sauces to put on the tacos. Really great little find. I use Yelp a lot when I travel, and was on the hunt for Los Gallos Tacos, which Yelp had rated #1 for tacos in Cleveland, TN... but apparently doesn't exist. On my way back down S. Lee Hwy I passed this little place, on a hard-to-get-to corner across from the CVS at this crazy intersection. Once I doubled back and figured out how to get into the parking lot, I was definitely hungry and hoping they were as good as the one I was initially searching for... And they were. I had three tacos: one carne asada and 2 al pastor... and then I went back for a carne asada gordita. The tacos were loaded with cilantro and onions. The gordita stuffed with cilantro, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and cotija cheese. Paired with the salsa verde that was in a big bottle on my table... DELICIOUS! I also had 2 bottled "Mexican" cokes (sugar cane, not corn syrup). All that and my bill came to $10... If I lived here, I'd definitely be a regular at Tacos El Cuñao. read more

Taco is god's or Mexico's gift to humanity. It is a fully balanced and complete meal, easily wrapped in foil for takeout, or enjoyed on a nice day right at the food truck. There's vitamin K in the cilantro, vitamin C in the onions and lime juice, protein and fat in the meat, and carbs in the tortilla. You also get your daily dose of vitamin D from the sun while frequenting a food truck. And these are just the major vitamins. There's also lycopene from the salsa, iron in the meat, etc.... I've had tacos in Mexico, and most US states, and these tacos are some of the best that I've had. The service was excellent, I felt super guilty about not thinking fast enough to tip the kid. If you can spare a dollar, please tip the server on my behalf, as I'm not local. The food was sublime. I got two tacos and a gordita, and everything was amazing. Listen, these are the absolute best tacos in the Chattanooga area, in Southeast TN, in Tennessee, in the southern United States of America. When my coworkers said "Hey, let's go to the taco truck for lunch." I didn't have a clue what they were talking about. But it was some yummy goodness. I had the stake tacos. Great marinated steak on fresh corn tortillas served with cucumber and lime wedges. The table got ground beef nachos and chips and guacamole all flavorful and fresh. This is the closest thing to authentic Mexican food in Cleveland. I'm from Southern California, 20 minutes from the border therefore I know what real Mexican food is.
