I was in Tijuana for work, and got to try these carne asada tacos for lunch. They were delivered, so I can't speak to the ambience. I had two tacos - they are huge! I was stuffed after 1.5 tacos, but just couldn't get myself to put them down. Their flour tortillas are different, they almost have a chewy texture in a great way. The tortillas had beans, carne asada, chopped onions, cilantro, and guacamole. Slices of lime and pickled chilies were included which made the taste even more amazing. This was literally the best tasting meal I had while in Tijuana. Totally recommend! read more

Too bad you can't leave 10 stars because this place truly deserves it!! Complete Taco Nirvana, that is all I can say about this place. Everything, the sauce, the homemade flour tortillas, the wood bbq'd skirt steak, the beans, the custom cut cheese they get from a local dairy farm is all amazing! The tacos are huge and my limit is 3 but if I could I would scarf down 10 of these beauties I would. I have been coming here since they had a little stand with just a tiny grill on the side, it is so awesome they have had enough popularity to turn their place into a nice little location with tables, bathrooms, etc. The seating is all outside but well covered under their patio, the line is almost always at least 10-15 people long but the average wait time is about 30 minutes during the week and 1hr on the weekends. But don't let that discourage you , this place truly deserves your patience. I can honestly say this is my favorite taco place in Mexico, nothing even comes close to it. Their options are simple, they don't expand on other meats because why? when you are good at one thing be good that that one thing and your business will flourish. Which is one of the main problems with all of the Mexican places here, they try to cater to everyone and end up half-assing everything, such a shame. So when you travel to Rosarito, Baja California, make sure you make it a point to find this place, just asks anyone in town where is the taco stand of the "perrones" which is what they call their tacos a name that suits them perfectly. read more

We waited like an hour and a half for these tacos. And well, it was worth the wait, their menu is simple because it has 4 things. We ordered the tacos and that's it, but those tacos were the best I've ever *cue Drake's song*. Honestly I ordered two and they were pretty filling. One of my favorite taco places in Rosarito. The tacos are large, so you don't need to order three street sized tacos. What is special about Tacos El Yaqui and is a departure from all other taco places is how the meat is grilled over a wood flame grill. This is what makes the carne delicious. It's a very clean taco place but seating is very limited. Be prepared to stand. They're open Thurs. - Monday. Bummer that they're closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. When the summer arrives, they ought to be open during Tuesday and Wednesday to serve the incoming tourists. read more

Best arranchera tacos in the world. Hands down. Grew up in Mexican restaurant and have eaten Mexican food all over the US / MX. This place will drive you crazy if you live in US because you won't be able to satisfy your constant cravings without driving across the border - which I've done many times solely to eat a couple tacos. Taco stand is small and most of the day there will be a long line. Expect to be born again when you bite into these tacos. If you like micheladas there is a place called Senor Clamato two or three streets north of tacos El yaqui! Tacos el Yaqui are without a doubt my favorite tacos in the world. I found the Rubi location after having visited the original Rosarito location more than 50 times. The consistency and taste are right on par with the Rosarito location because the place is operated by the son of the owner. I used to live in Playas Tijuana and would pay the toll to go to Rosarito Yaqui's once a week, I then googled the Rubi location and found out it's just as close and I save 62 peso around trip on tolls. Now I'm in the Zona Rio area and this place is still a quick hop away, I typically go once or twice a week. Friendly staff, always parking, rarely have to wait longer than 5 minutes for your food compared to the Rosarito location where it could take up to 45 minutes depending on the line. The next time you're in TJ and are craving Yaqui's, give this location a try.. You won't be disappointed. read more
